I like the idea of twin light AC/5 replacing one AC/10, so I gave it a shot.

Overview:
In the wake of the FedCom Civil War, there was a need for combat platforms
that could be manufactured as quickly as possible. In particular was a need
for an armored fighting vehicle that could carry out as many different missions
as possible. Corean Enterprises, after the less than stellar introduction of
the Fireball, needed a new product that could help repair their reputation.
The new bid was seen as just such an opportunity, and Corean jumped at the
chance. The need to keep costs relatively low while providing as much
firepower as possible was seen as the primary requirement for any design, and
the engineers ttok this to heart. Working as fast as possible even as the
smoke from the Civil War was still dissipating, the Corean design team were
able to bring the new combat vehicle from design to prototype in less than a
year. The new tank was introduced as the Reynard Heavy Tank in honor of Hanse
Davion.
Capabilities:
The Reynard was designed around a relatively inexpensive ICE powerplant in
order to keep the costs down and manufacturing efficiency high. The engineers
were able to meet the first requirement, but the powerplant became a major
headache. The Cummins ICE started off as a straight-forward powerplant, but
as new weapons and ammunition bins were added, parts of it had to be
moved. By the time the design was finalized, the Cummins had so many
parts shifted around that it took almost twice as long to repair as a normal
one. That being said, the Cummins ICE is remarkably robust and can use almost
any refined hydrocarbon fuel.
The core of the new tank are the twin Mydron Snakekiller light AC/5s in the
turret. With enough elevation to act as an ati-aircraft mount in a
low-profile turret, the new autocannons give the tank a long range as well as
make it a threat to other armored fighting vehicles and light 'Mechs. With a
wide variety of ammunition to select from, the gunner can easily cycle through
the different types depending on the target. As a backup, the Reynard carries
a single Federated Stream SRM-2 launcher. The Streak SRM system is remarkably
accurate and a deadly threat to lighter targets. A single LFN Lindblad
machinegun is under the control of the driver and gives some anti-infantry
capability to the tank in urban conditions.
The targeting and communications systems are all based on widely available
Corean products in order to reduce the development costs. The targeting
system was upgraded to allow it to fire in an anti-aircraft mode, though it is
not as accurate as systems designed from the start for that role. Instead, the
B-Tech system is very flexible and able to engage almost any target easily.
Deployment:
The Reynard started off a well-recieved combat vehicle, and easily met all
expectations. As time went on and the complexity of the Cummins powerplant
became apparent, vehicle Techs began to swear at it for being a beast to
maintain and repair. Crews, on the other hand, began to swear by the tank for
its flexibility and firepower.
Variants:
Several variants of the basic chassis have started to be seen on the
battlefield. The first replaces the twin light autocannons with a single
Holly Ballista-20 LRM launcher and an Artemis-IV guidance package. While the
launcher only has two tons of ammunition, it can act as an effective long-range
support vehicle. Another variant replaces the twin autocannons with a Mydron
Tornado rotary AC/5.
