If I can make it, I'd like to try the "new" LAM rules.  I know they've been out for a while, but I haven't had a chance to actually use them yet...

Oof. Boy do I hate LAMs... Well, if at least 1 more person shows interest, I'll give it serious consideration.

Protos! I've only ever been on the receiving end.

I'd tell you I'm sorry, but I like to tell high quality lies.

Also, Celestials. Maybe a Hunt for Berith, late or post-Jihad thing?

Plausible, but I'm worried that the special rules will prove frustrating for players. I mean, I guess I could take em on as OPFOR, but that can't be what you have in mind?
You remember those cheat sheets I made for the rare advanced stuff in the WOB vs Society fight? You think that'd cut it?

The solution is just ignore Paul.

Large piece battles where the Time To Kill is fast.

That or doing some of the Historical Turning Points books, like Misery or Mallory's World or really any of them.  I would love to redo some of those iconic fights.  Jihad TP: New Avalon to get that Wobbie experience for Cubby.

Also, Daryk, same as Sprocket, I'm always available to pick up as I'm down in Lorton and have to head up that way to get to either Huzzah Hobbies (where Jester has started his games) or Games & Stuff

So...Alpha Strike?

OV vs. Society redux could be fun, but you're right, we'd need a cheat sheet for tech. On the one hand, we have a reasonably experienced group of players who won't be too thrown by snub-nosed PPCs. On the other hand.........C3i.

Theres also taking into account design flaws of certain mechs.  Ammo feeds jamming do to the placement, certain types of lasers having their lenses burn out due to poor manufacturing, etc.

Don't forget to utilize this fan-made D20 hit location table! Now featuring upper and lower arm/leg locations, and even a crotch-shot if you roll a 13! (Mech immobilized for 1D6 turns in the fetal position)

I'd imagine if there was a Rattler on the board that Paul would have a warship in orbit shooting at it.  I have to admit it would be kinda funny to see a warship shot with a near miss just close enough to a rattler that front or back end of a rattler would drop in a nice pot hole.

I'll be there Saturday & know it's a bit late for suggestions but the Clan Invasion KS has got me thinking about IS  3025 tech vs Clan tech. I'll play whatever you come up with though.

August is packed wall to wall for me, so very little chance any date would work. This is my daughter's 4th birthday party, so I'll look forward to September.

Hey at least your priorities are straight!

Today: Reinforced company of Feddies comes across new invaders, rumored to be elite Dracs who are trying to invade using confusion and misinformation. Cosmetic enhancements on SL era Mechs and weaponry, according to intel. (Intel also presumed possibility of pirates and even aliens, but those are, err, "lower" probability.")

Engagement against a small detachment of 5 raised more questioned that it answered. True, the Dracs like the number 5, but why did this small force not attempt to disengage? Instead they said something about duels, and had it.

End result: several savaged Mechs, but 5 enemies destroyed, who fought until their Mechs collapsed... Strange.

Stranger still: the unit commnet just went dead.

More in September!

The Valkyrie mysteriously fell to his death when getting out of his Mech. Tragic. He'll be missed, old whatshisname, I miss him already.

If that's the case....can I have his comic book collection?

Well, we're not sure if he was able to rendezvous with the rest of the company.  He could have ran into another one of those "Kuritan redesigns".

But still, going point blank with 2 Summoners and still being able to walk away is noteworthy.

I'm a member of the Monday Night Battletech crew. Myself and others from the group are going to be there starting at 10 in the morning, but it's for a Fire and Sword practice tournament. I'll probably get roped into playing even though I've never played FnS before.

However, I might be able to swing on over. At the very least, I can say Hi :).
