I've given up on Buffalo for this season.  They started off sooooo wellllllll. . . but the last, what, four games?  Embarrassing.

Of their six remaining games, Denver has three better than average chances at getting a win (MIA, NYJ, IND) wit the other against OAK, KC and WAS. Of those three winnable games I would only count the Miami game as the closest thing to a lock. They could finish with 12 losses.

Six straight losses for Denver. Been a long time since I've seen that happen.

And yet I still see fans on social media talking about how the division is still within reach, it's not over, they can still make it... how? Even if they do find a way to suck less than the Raiders and Chiefs, who are they going to reliably beat in the playoffs? And what games left on the schedule would Denver be favored against, that they could actually win?

Oi. What a mess. We expected the offense would be a bit rough, but that defense looks like they've all but quit.

Well, they dumped their OC today. I don't know if that will improve anything....

And Terry Glenn died today. Blah, what a yucky football weekend.

I'm of a mindset (and a hope) that McCoy being out simply means his resume is on the market a month and a half before the rest of the coaching staff. Vance Joseph seems like a nice guy, but this isn't working out. As for the defense... the difference between this season and the previous couple under Philips are staggering, aren't they? Maybe letting him walk wasn't such a hot idea?

The calls for Paxton Lynch to start next week are getting loud- not that he's the savior of the season, but because it's over anyway, might as well see if this kid has any talent or if Elway needs to try yet again to draft a QB this spring. You know what you have in Osweiler and Siemian at this point (not much), so it's time to look around at other ideas.

The last few games have done an excellent job of hyping me up for Pat Mahomes even more.  I only got to watch the last Chiefs drive in overtime, but it was lost because of checking down and relying on player speed to break coverage after the ball was already thrown.  Talk about not giving your players any help.  It doesn't matter if Tyreek Hill is the fastest guy on the field, if he starts his run behind the line he's going to have five or six guys to beat and you can't rely on that to win games.

Yeah, Denver needs to throw buckets of cash at Phillips this offseason.  Pay him like a star QB if needed.  He’s worth it as a DC.  Not sure what to do with the offense.  Throw buckets of cash at Peyton to come back as OC?

Problem is, ol' Wade is having a pretty good time turning the Rams into a legit football team (what a difference a year makes!). Why would he want to come back to a team that let him twist in the wind last spring? That had better be a HEAP of money.

...and even then, it doesn't fix the fundamental problem- the offense sucks, has sucked for a couple of years now, and there's nothing resembling a QB on the roster- and it's increasingly clear the guy drafting has no idea how to go about selecting one (ironically enough). Even THEN, if you put Peyton in his mid-2000s prime in that offense, he's going to eat grass every other play, because the offensive line is just that- offensively bad.

On a totally unrelated note, watching last nights' game, Julio Jones isn't human. No mere mortal could make some of those sideline grabs.

Come on! some of you guys have picked the Vikings to loose week after week and they have not.  Today is probably one of the only games of the season that I will watch and you are picking them to win?!?!  Thanks a lot...

Right now I'm holding out hope for the hilarity of 3 NFC East teams playing today and none of them winning. (As of this post Dallas lost and WAS/NYG tied 3-3)

It's looking, as I type, like Denver is about to lose their seventh straight game.

But, on the upside, Aqib Talib is now 2-0 on stealing gold chains from Michael Crabtree over the past two seasons. So... there's that.

Huh, the Giants, with rookie 3rd round pick Davis Webb and a wasted season, are going to bench Eli Manning so they can get a look at...Geno Smith.

What could go wrong? The carousel of failure worked so well for Denver already, after all!

Nah, honestly it's time the Giants evaluate their next QB anyway. That they're seeing whether it's Smith is baffling, but that they're planning for life post-Eli isn't a bad idea at this point.

Yeah, I can understand wanting to see what Webb can do behind one of the worst lines in football, no running backs of note and a wide receiving corps that is Bears-esque at this point, but Geno's already started in that stadium a dozen times or so.

And as much as I dislike the great pouter, props to him for not extending his streak with some honorary starts.
