Targeting Capital Missiles-Rule
« on: 19 November 2022, 12:13:05 »
How do I shoot capital missiles? I have read through the rules in StratOps on page 96 and 117 but I don't really understand them. Now if I want to use the Targeting Capital Missiles rule, what hit roll do I need to make? Or do I have to perform one at all? I don't really understand it.
Let's use an example: I fire a salvo of 3 Barracudas from the Bay "Forward Left" at a Dante frigate with a Winchester cruiser. I mean a salvo... not Tele-Operated Missiles! That would be 6 points of damage if they hit. But if the player with the Dante Frigate wants to deflect this salvo? How does he go about it? Does he target the Barracudas? With a hit roll? After all, if the missiles are fired as a salvo, they are treated the same as a salvo with ship autocannons! So what does an attack on a Barracuda missile fired as a salvo look like? What do I roll as the Dante player? I'm afraid I don't quite get it.
