160X224 pixels, but I don't remember the max size for the file.

Whoa, Chunga and I were posting the same thing at the same. I was going to add that, keep in mind for all of us that choose to see your avatar, we must load it. Its therefore in your (and the forums) best interest to keep it small. If a bunch of people go loading huge file-size avatars, DS will have to put a cap on it.

Mine was changed by Chunga due to its size, but I can't seem to find a maximum size either.

Which in fact is no problem to comply with - most graphics programs provide a wizard for exporting for web uses. :)
