Just a pre-Clan Invasion general Clan omni-vehicle, loosely inspired by Cavgunner's Herald. Compared to that design, the Skirmisher is faster and cheaper across configurations, and similarly armored, but the Herald's extra two tons of pod space make it much more flexible in terms of filling battlefield roles and overall payload. IMO, not too bad for garrison filler.
