Games and Stuff
(the store where I like to run)
Will be opening their game room again! They'll kick it off with a big Magic event this weekend, the 19th

I'm itching to get started again, hence this thread. Date to follow soon.

IMPORTANT!!

There is a change, which is impressing me with how ingenious it is:

Credit Swap
People hosting, and people attending games need to buy a $10 token (a special G&S poker chip) which they can then use at any time later towards product, snacks, etc. Just not events.
So it's much better than just charging a flat fee: you are basically reserving some money you'd likely spend on product anyway (right?). Provided you get that product at some point, you are out nothing. You can hang on to these tokens as long as you want, so if you save up 5 and drop them all on a $50 game, well, go for it.

Anyway, I thought that was extremely clever, but also possibly something that might bring up the occasional question.

Date to follow soon! Maybe the 24th, but don't hold me to that.

Also of note: I don't have a monopoly on that store: if anyone else would like to host stuff there, please be my guest!!
Also also: I'm pretty sure Jeff will resume his Alpha Strike campaign again. He does an amazing job with it, so I hope he does!
Also also also: There's other stores in this overall area. I noticed there's some events happening at the new store in Ellicot City where one of the guys running it has some absolutely amazing terrain. I keep meaning to go...
The solution is just ignore Paul.

Are you guys still getting together at Games & Stuff?  If so, when's the next weekend?
Did you hear about the LEGO store grand opening?  People were lined up for blocks...

Well give me a heads up of when you'll have a free weekend and I'll run something to give you a break of having to organize stuff.  Can't guarantee you won't get picked on though.

I think Baltimore is in the path of the coming winter nastiness, so probably not this weekend.
