Mattlov, I would recommend against a color change unless you are willing to do it correctly.  Just squirting paint on the outside is not enough, you need to paint all the areas like door jams, under hood and trunk et al.  Repaint the can the factory color and add highlight (racing stripes or something).  This will end up looking a lot better and keep the resale up unless you try to pass it on to someone who doesn't know better.

I can't tell you how many cars I've inspected and found a really nice paint job and opened the door, trunk, or hood (or all three) and found the dingy dirty original paint in a non-complementary color (think British racing green over purple).

Yes - it's common with these new crappy paints - clear coat over base coat.  The clear coat fails and flakes or peals off.

Don't you guys have the sun out there?   ;D :D ;)

Not much in the winter, no.  Plus the GTO is parked in the garage.

Yeah, I would pay for a full pro repaint.  There are a couple places around here that do it, and do it right.  It just isn't cheap.  I'm just thinking of the repaint anyway, I need to paint my house far more than I need my car painted.

I wish it was sunny and 63, I am lucky we are in a warm spell of 25 right now.  Also, even though I keep relearning the lessen of winter fun, I love owning a RWD in the snow.

I just have to worry about some rust on my firebird now.

Just getting ready to repair/restore/modify a 1986 AMC Eagle Sport 2+.  I figure my 16year old daughter can and will be plenty embarassed when she has to drive it.
Yeah, that is one ugly car. I had a 79AMC Concord (the Eagle's predecessor) and it was uglier, all I can remeber about the car is the Green paintjob (w/gold striping) with a tan interior. I called it the Boogermobile due to the coloring. I did love the big Inline 6 under, though

See, the issue I have with statements like that is styling is an aesthetic.  And aesthetics are deeply personal and subjective.  While one person may adore it, another is completely turned off.

The Aztek isn't pretty, but there are uglier things out there.  Mid-late 90's Taurus, any Buick Rendezvous (same body, different shell), Honda S2000's...

Once again, very personal.  I don't find the S2000 to be that bad of a car (stylisticly speaking).  Then again I'm kinda partial to late fifties and early sixties mopars.

Yes, that's my car.  In my garage while the Yaris sleeps outside.

Get seats with extra soft, extra squishy padding.

What's wrong with the S2000?  It's not my type of car, but I don't see the issue

Never liked it.  It always seemed like it was trying to be BMW Z3, which a car I also dislike.

But in every aspect it spanks it, unless only the basic concept was taken and then Nissan made it truly into a demon beast.

Funny how you take a Pontiac Aztek, shrink it 25%, and call it a "Prius", and it's all the damn rage.

As an aside, I didn't mind the Aztek, but I also think the Chevy Cavalier Wagon with the V6 is the spiffiest car on the planet.
