Title: Additional avatar images?
Post by: Longstrider on 02 June 2013, 20:02:16
Hey there. I expect this is perhaps a more complex problem than I think it is, but any chance we can get some more avatar images that are available for player profiles?

Specifically I'm thinking of the Calderon Protectorate, Fronc Reaches, and Filtvelt Coalition. Plenty of other Periphery states could use them too, because even if there's only one person who might fly the flag of the Mica Majority, that's one more person exercising their free choice to get the heck away from inner sphere and clanner nonsense. The CP may be easy, as it's just 3 black stars instead of gold under the Taurian bull. I'd be all over more Deep Periphery states and some of those ISP3 ones, but that might be pushing it.

The Clans could use some too - all those dead and gone (come on Burrocks, you came back once, you can do it again!), as well as the Jade Wolves, Sea Foxes, and Stone Lions.

I expect even the beggars and scrapers in the Inner Sphere could use some more as well. The Republic of the Sphere certainly, and even the United Hindu Collective comes to mind, not to mention the breakway League states. Maybe Tikonov too? If Free Cappella gets one, perhaps the Black Dragons?

And of course, the clan-other people hybrids - GBD, Raven Alliance, Scorpion Empire, Wolf Empire (presumably different), etc.

Anyhow, it may be problematic with the legal stuff, getting good resolution images, and whatever else goes on behind the scenes, so I expect none of this may happen. But it would be a nice bonus for some of us. Or me, at least.  O:-)

You can upload any avatar you like. I suppose we could make it a bit more userfriendly, but it's not a priority.

Fair enough. I understand if it's a bit unimportant, all told.  :)
