How to Play AToW YouTube Series Suggestions
« on: 27 October 2022, 19:54:01 »
Hi all,

I've taken down my old YouTube series over how to play AToW and have been replacing it with videos of a higher quality that are updated for the current printing. Here is a link to the playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLW4v4K6PB7qLTa-BQbf8qSxF3T_NSDVOV

If you have any suggestions for improvements or ideas for future videos, let me know.

Also, with my most recent video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hp7r6DJ5eTU&list=PLW4v4K6PB7qLTa-BQbf8qSxF3T_NSDVOV&index=4) over the current errata document, I discovered better settings in OBS, so my future videos will look even better.

Using the hit location rules, I did a playthrough of AToW. These rules are so much fun! I haven't seen anything like them in other RPGs. Do you know of any other RPGs with hit location rules?

GURPS uses hit location rules. I also try and convert every game background to GURPS that I can.  I Long for the day they update Vehicles to 4th Edition because that is by far one of my favorite RPG books among any system. Just designing stuff is fun.

I forgot GURPs had hit locations. I played in a GURPs campaign for a couple years, but we didn't use the hit location rules. I like GURPs.

All the Chart Master variants (Role Master, MERP, etc.) had hit location systems of varying degrees of ridiculousness...  :D

The Warhammer 40k and Warhammer Fantasy games had hit locations that were a D100 setup.

The fun way they did it is you first roll a D100 to see if you hit, and if you hit you reverse the numbers to figure out the location.

So if you rolled a 48 to-hit and were successful, then the location is 84.
