OK so looking to see just who will be on hand for part 3 of the Ironborn test out.

What side they want to play.

If they are bringing units to play.

Please keep in mind that if you are playing parts of your unit they can only be units that are at Hilo from the last GSF mission.

Not sure yet. This is why I'm asking. 2 units are set. The Ironborn. OPFOR is open. We need 3 people base - max is 5 plus me.

Somewhere on a cargo ship...

“Ladies and gentlemen, that was a profitable raid. Wei Leng, how did we do.”

“Lady, we did well. As you know our men went in with 4 trucks. Each truck carried three people. We came into Tarawa from the east. We picked four destinations. A large warehouse, two smaller warehouses and a what appeared to be a assembly center.

In the first warehouse we discovered two trucks already loaded with crates. Inside we discovered several crates that contained combat armor. The second warehouse we discovered had some ammo crates and some vehicles. The assembly center had two tractor trailers and some APC’s and tanks. The forth warehouse also had ammo and vehicles in it. Both two and four also had tractor trailers outside of them.”

“You mean to tell me that you just waltzed right in and was able to drive off with this stuff?”

“It was a little but harder than that Captain England. We were actually required to show transfer paperwork. Luckily, our notepads had just what was needed.”

“Your welcome!” yelled Chang Ch’i.

“We loaded two tanks, two APC’s, some crates onto the tractor trailers and even took a hover tank as well.”

“We then started to head south, towards the harbor. As we were forming up the convoy, Cheung Po Tsai showed up with his Clint. That’s when it started to get interesting. The locals finally got off their asses and started to come after us. First came a lance of Hetzers, then Scorpions. The rest of the Lady’s lance came in and escorted us south. The locals chased us until we got outside of town and Captain England’s lance powered up and discouraged them from going any further. And so, here we are, on the ship heading to Leyte.”

Edward Low, the Locust pilot spoke up “So what did we get?”

“We have a J. Edger, a Myrmidon, a Saladin, Two APC’s, one hover and one wheeled. We also got about eight tones of parts for the vehicles and a few tons of Autocannon ammo. We also acquired som power armor, I believe  Kage and one I’m not familiar with. And also 5 tractor trailers to boot!”

Ching Shi stood up and cleared her voice. “Now, people, that is how an operation is run. Not only did we go in, grab the prize and walk out with it, but we did it without firing a shot or taking any damage. Congratulations to all of you for a flawless operation. And now we go and and meet our new employer with our heads high and our coffers full!”

The OPFOR are lance size. You do not have to use all Mechs. You can use mixed forces. Any force that you bring must be from your unit and can only be units that were part of the last group mission.

I just check that mission and you were not at it. So you will be able to play Ironborn or Units from the Ghost/ComGuard.

At Camp Haken Jack will meet with Euron in his office for a while he will then find Kiah and speak with her for a while. He will stay for the third part of the IronBorn trials.

Kiah greets Jack with a respectful bow and has her porter bring tea and sake so he has a choice , she is surprised to see Jack

Good to see you sir,  how can I be of service?

Kiah pauses as the trays of drink and small sandwiches her people added are set up in her command tent  and waits for jack to indicate what he would like so she can pour it for him

Jack see the look of curiosity in her face as she waits for him to speak

I may as well be consistent.  I'll play IronBorn.
If possible, don't schedule a game on March 14.  That's my second vaccination.

In her room, Fuka is getting dressed and prepared for Stage 3 of the Ironborn pilot trials.  She is getting ready to meet up with Asha and Theon when there is a knock on her door.

Opening it, Fuka is a little surprised to see Isolde Botley standing outside.

"Heyyy..." Isolde says with a wave.  "Look, I think we got started on the wrong foot, Fuka."  She looks uncharacteristically embarrassed, scratching the back of her head.  "So, after Mom and my sifu chewed me out the other day, I found out I've been assigned to you, Asha and Theon's lance annnnd I was kinda wondering if maybe we could talk strategy before going out there.  You know, just so we're all on the same page."

Fuka smiles and offers her hand.  "Of course, Isolde-san.  In fact, I was just going to meet up with Asha-san and Theon-san to do just that.  You're welcome to come with me."

"Cool," Isolde responds, shaking Fuka's hand.  "Well, lead the way."  As she follows behind, Isolde can't help but occasionally ogle Fuka's backside as they walk.  Such a nice view.  She shook her head, trying to refocus.  No, no, no.  Win first, girl, then we'll see if we can't charm those shorts off that booty.

OOG: Anthony: I'm going to run Fuka, Isolde, Asha and Theon's lance in Stage 3.
Also, I am placing my 2 Regulators, the Striker, Chao's Raven and, if need be, Euron and his Marauder(since he has his 'Mech back) for possible OpFor duty.  It's time for the Colonel to get his revenge on the kids for "wrecking" his 'Mech twice.  >:D

The Tarawa Times
Today Rhee-sama stated that after the bandit raid the other day that our local militia will handle local security and that Raisa Maximovna has pledge the Maks Kray also. With both the Jundai and Maks Kray working together our security will be in much better hands than the GSF. These mercenary troops so far have not been much help and can stay home. Rhee-sama understands that the Nijero Militia is understaffed and when they are re-equipped will welcome them is helping with our defense.

Nejiro News 1
With the Rhee and Maximovna Ichizoku stating that they will be taking on the security for Yasei no Sogen due to the lack of help form the GSF people are starting to ask just what the GSF will do if more raids happen on Yasei no Sogen?

The Dakuu-orianyusu
It now starts. Two of the Ichizoku are forced to take on the job of the GSF. The GSF is the one that should be providing this type of security with Ichizoku militias providing local security. When will all of you good people of NIjero open your eyes and see that your leaders have let you down. The Dragon will see to the protection of this world as none can. All you have to do is ask. The Dragon does see what is happening but you need to take the first steps.

Shin no wadopuresu
Take care, good people of Nijero. Things are not what they seem. Your leaders say they will protect you but they do not. Just look as two brave families have been forced to step up and provide the security the GSF should be providing. They will protect the people. They know the Nijero’s Militia does what it can but can do only so much. They know that their brothers and sisters need help and will stand up and provide that help.
Do take care as others that are offering help will do just as your leaders now do. They talk of help, they say they will protect you.

“Hay Vickie!” Across the room a large gentleman waves at her to join him.
She gets up and heads towards him, when she gets closer to him. “Hi Max, what’s up?”
“I have someone you need to talk with.” He moves so the young man that has been standing behind him can be seen. “This is Thomas and he has seen the friends you are looking for.”
He looks over Victoria and pulls back a bit so Max is between him and her. “I saw the people in the pictures you showed me.” He looks at Max.
“And just who are we talking about?” She asks. “I have many friends that I am looking for.”
“You know Vic the ones that got you out this way. You know the Annes, Charlotte and Mary. I know that you have been looking for them for some time now.” Max flashes a big smile. “I know you were close and would like to see them and my young friend here has seen them.”
“Have you.” She looks him over.
“Yes, they were in my parents shop in Siniy a week ago.” He pulls back behind Max even more. “They are not very nice ladies.”
“Why don’t we go find someplace that we all can sit down and talk.” Victoria offers.
“I think that would fine. I know of this real nice place down the street. They have some of the best Korean BBQ.” Max rubs his hands together. “I know both my friend and I can use a bite.” He puts his arm around Thomas.
“Well if the both of you are hungry I guess we can go.” Victoria looks at Max with a sideways smile. She goes back to where she was and grabs her things and returns. “OK, let’s go.”

“Hay Grubby, what you got under the tarp?” The gate guard asks the units senior tech.
“Just a new toy for the unit. Found it needing a new home so here it is.” Sergeant Grubermann answers the guard.
“So who gets it?” The guard asks as he looks over the paperwork the sergeant handed him.
“Don’t know yet. Got to fix a couple of things and then it’s up to the Boss.”
“Speaking of, how goes the repairs on his ride?” As the guard hands the sergeant back his papers. “He has been a royal pain with his ride went down.”
“Looks like we finally got it fixed.” As he puts his papers away. “She should running around soon.”
“Good luck with the new one.” The guard waves him in.
As the truck moves around the base to the hanger bay Grubby can see the boss looking at his Wolverine. He hits the horn to get the crew out of his way and pulls the rig in under the hoist.
“Can I do something for you, Sir?” He asks as he gets down from the truck.
“You can tell me when I get her back.” He looks at his tech. “It’s been so long I don’t know if I still remember how to pilot her.”
“She is ready to go. It took a bit.” Grubby looks his CO’s in the eye. “As for piloting her, it’s like riding a bike. It will come back as you do it.”
“I hope so. I’m getting cramps from the Jenner. Good ‘Mech but just too small.” He looks at the truck. “What do you have here?”
“A little something I found at the Enclave. She need a little TLC but will be ready to go in a few weeks.” Grubby walks to the back of the truck and pulls the cover off.
Crash looks at the Crab on the truck. “How much did this thing cost?”
“Not what it should have. The owners were tired of lugging it a round.” He jumps on the bed. “She’s solid and low tech so getting parts will be easy compared to most of the other toys we got.” He walks to the hoist controls. “When this is up we will have three rides without pilots. Do you want them as spare rides or you going to get them crewed?”
“Don’t know at this moment. It will be good to have some backups but getting us to a light company gives us some need punch.”
“Well just let me know so I know how to store it. I will be getting the Jenner into storage mode now that your Wolverine is back up and running.” He walks the hoist to the truck so he can off load the Crab. “Boss, take it easy on the Wolverine.” He gives Crash a wink.
“I’ll try but that is up to the bad guys.” He smiles and heads to his Wolverine to take her out for a test run.

The people from the different units watching the third round of the test out cringe as the watch the different pilots take hard halls from the simulated damage. As the test ends and both OPFOR units win. The techs head for the bays to repair the real damage and re-arm the equipment for the last round.
“Well I guess that the last round will be held off for a couple days so that damage gets repaired?” Jack asks Euron.
“It sure will.” Euron looks at his pad and checks the real damage readouts. “Could have been worse so I take what I get.”
“That is the fun of training. You never know what is going to happen until it does.” Jack shakes hands with Euron. “I must take off. I also have to report in.”

In her office in Yousai Meiyo is looking over all the different reports when Joy informs her she has a visitor.
Jack walks into her office. She goes to him giving him a big hug. He looks down. “Not a word you.” She looks at him. “So what do you have?”

“Well to start I have some new people in place in Siniy and Tarawa. They will get us information on what is going on. We have setup a new information highway so they will not get tripped up that easy. We still have some of our older operatives in place. They will do what they can but understand they are more for others to watch.” They both move to the table off to the side of her office. “I have both of my teams back this way so I can take over for Tekeda if you want me to.”

“I think for now we will keep him in place. That is if you don’t have a problem with that.” She gives him a sideways look.

“Who, me? I follow orders …. Most times that is.” He smiles real big.

“Good, I like that in my troopers.” She smiles back.

“Besides, keeping him in place will let me move around better.”

“Good, I like that. It also keeps the command structure stable.”

He takes out a data pad. “I ran into Jonah, he will be going to Shinrin. The last of the Kokuryu-kai he is looking for are there. I offered my help and he did not turn it down so that is good thing. If things go the way I think with him I will be sending my second team to Shinrin in a couple weeks. Jonah has a hard head at times and this is one of them.” He fills two glasses of water. “He also understands he has work that he has to get back to and that this personal project must be done soon.”

She drinks the water. “I am glad that he will take the help. And that this project has to get settled soon. I need him doing what he does best not this.”

“Understood, on a different note I have secured the services of some of the bandits that were working for WoB. They call themselves the Phoenix Dao and were looking for different employers after the GSF raid on that WoB base last month. Their leader was not too happy with WoB using other units as bait. She knows it is only time until she would be used the same way.” He lifts his glass to her and takes a drink. “I stopped at Camp Haken to talk with Colonel Grayjoy about this new hire. To say he was not happy is an understatement. But he will work with them and I did inform him that if they betray us then it is all fair to take them out.” He looks to his wife. “I also told Ching Shi, the leader of the Phoenix Dao that if they betray us they will be hunted by everyone.” He looks over his data pad. “I also informed Major Franks about this new command.” He looks at his wife. “What I have in mind for them is pulling missions that the GSF would not be best for and when they work with the GSF on missions they will be more of a support unit.” He fills both glasses. “I want to keep some space between them so that if the Phoenix Dao has to do some wet work it is not the GSF.” He looks to his wife. “Have you eaten yet?”

“Not yet. What do you have in mind?”

“Order something in. We have a lot going on and this way we get more time together.”

“That is fine with me.” She smiles at him. “So much better then eating alone.” She smiles at him and walks over to her desk and presses the intercom. “Joy can you get some food for Jack and myself.”

“Sure thing boss.” Joy hangs up and gets to getting lunch for them.

“You did see the news from Tarawa the other day?”

“Yes I did. I also know that Rhee is lying through his teeth.” Jack brings up the news from a few days back. “As I said we have people working for us over that way and they tell a very different story and have sent drone footage as well.” He brings up that information on his pad. “Her people pulled in and sweet talked their way in to a large convoy of things. By the time and of them even had a clue that something was not right Ching was almost out of the city. The militia followed for a bit but stopped when a second lance of hers powered up.” Jack points out some of the images. “We also have some very interesting intel because of this raid.”

“So what are you thinking for this unit?” She asks as she returns to the table.

“Well if they can operate like this just half the time, we can have them poke around in places we do not want the GSF too. As they are known as a pirate group, having them show up in places will keep people on their toes. Plus we can see how they react to the Dao knocking on their front door.”

“That can work well. We will get to test readiness of the Ichizoku and see where they stand.” She looks to her husband. “Any you have in mind other than the ones you ware just looking at?”

“I sure do have some ideas. Will be starting here, all sides have been able to drop raider units in our backyard way to easy. It is time to see who has been opening the gate.” He shows her all the different strike points. “I figure that if we station the Dao at either Camp Kaki or Camp Haru they can cover the area of most of the attacks. That will also give us extra forces at the two camps that need them the most.”

“You do understand that if they operate out of any of the known GSF camps sooner or later someone will see them entering or staying at said camp.” She looks over the data pad. “Why don’t we place them in these caves, no one have gone back to them after that operation back in September.”

Joy enters the office with a tray with food. “Were do you want me to put this?”

“Over here is just fine.” Meiyo tells her. She walks over to her desk and brings the reports she had been reading. “I think you should read these as well. They may help you figure out just were you may want to point your new sword.”

They both spend the rest of the day going over the different reports and the intel he has gotten over the last month and a half.

“Thank you. My unit is to be billeted?”
“We have new quarters for your personal on the other side of the camp.” Yang points to the buildings. “The Sho-sa has also setup new bays for your equipment.”
“Lojnant Anker, see that our people getting settled in.” He looks back to Yang “You commander is very well setup for us.”
“When Saganami-sama informed her that you would be stationed with us she made sure your unit would have the space it needs.”
“Lojnant Sjalbranna you are with me. Lojnant Mikelson, see that the heavy equipment gets to the bays.”
The Kashira will escort Bjomsen and Sjialbranna to the command center. The will pass several check points and the guards will check all IDs at each check point. They will be shown to a conference room. “Sho-sa Kono Kalakaua this is Kapten Marius Bjomsen and Lojnant Sjalbranna.” Yang bows to Kalakaua.
She will give a bow to Marius and the Lojnant. “This is my XO Tai-i Chiaki Yomidia.” Her open hand points to a young woman to her right. “I hope your flight here was pleasant.”
“It was fine.” Marius will give a bow to both of the ladies. He will give Sjalbranna a poke who will also give a bow.
“Please have a seat. Kashira will you see to it that some food and drink are brought in, I am sure our friends would like something.”
“Hai Sho-sa.” The Kashira will bow and exit from the room.
“My people setup buildings for your people and equipment for your stay here. They are not very soft, but will give you places to sleep and work.” Kono takes a seat and her XO does so after she does. “Your people are welcome to adjust them as needed to make your stay better.’
“Thank You Sho-sa. I know me people will make the best of your peoples work.” Marius will take out his data pad. “I am looking to get my people in the field ASAP so they can get use to this area. I am looking to send out some recon patrols.” He looks to Sjalbranna. “We are not ones to sit at base and wait on the enemy.”
“This is good. I like that you want to get out right away. We can use some units in the south-west. If your people are up to that please have them take a look in that area.”
They will spend the next couple of hours going over the area for Winter’s Dreams first mission on Shinrin.

After round three in the ‘Mech hanger the group from the recon OPFOR talk about the mission.
“I think we underestimated the trainees.” Adept Cage tells the group he just worked with.
“Hai, we should have handled that mission much better.” Offers Gunsho Kar Neng Lai
“We did fulfill the mission.” Gunsho Mayumi Yamanaka adds
“Yes but the cost was too high.” Adept Wood tells the others. “It is good that they are that hungry, but we should have done better with this group. The other group will be more challenging as they will be looking to make a better score and will not be ground locked as this group was.”

“This is recon Alpha to base, Recon Alpha to base. Do you read.”
“Base to Alpha we have you 5 by 5.”
“Base we have a large group heading toward Kamploops”
“Any IDs on them?”
“Negative. Looks like a combined arms group.”
“How large of a group?”
“About a Lance of Mechs, a company of armor and a company of infantry. The dust they are kicking up is stopping us from getting a good ID on them.”
“Roger Alpha. Keep an eye on them but do not close.”
“Roger that base.”

“Leutnant Baird this is Ops we need you in here now sir.”
“Baird, Roger on my way.”

“Sir Recon Alpha spotted a large group heading north in the direction of Kamploops.”
“Do we know who they are?”
“No Sir. No IDs and the dust they are kicking up Alpha cannot get visual.”
“OK get a heavy recon force together so we can see just what we have. Also get the Militia and the Kamploops security commanders on line about this.” He looks at the map. “Also inform Port’s security commander, just in case this group makes a left turn.”
“Yes sir.” The crew moves to get the Leutnant’s orders filled.

“Recon Alpha to base, Alpha to base.”
“Base to Alpha report.”
Base the unknowns have not crossed Tone-gawa and are heading into the mountains.”
“Roger that Alpha. Keep tracking them and report every half hour.”
“Will do base.”

“Inform Leutnant Baird about what Alpha just reported.”
“Yes Sergeant.”

Leutnant Baird gets the report and calls Carl. “Leutnant you will form up a unit that will be ready defend this base. I am working up a heavy recon unit to see just what is going on with the force that Alpha is tracking.”
“Roger that.”

“Major I am putting together a heavy recon force to see just what is going on with a large force that Recon Alpha picked up. At first looked to be heading to Kamploops but have not crossed Tone-gawa. They look to be moving towards the mountains. They may move on Zakharovic Fortress or us. I am putting the unit on alert.”

“Lojnant Lundmark you will pick three sections to form a recon party. You will take this unit out to the south-west area of this base and see what is out there.” Marius informs his battle armor commander. “You will move out within the hour.”
“Yes sir.”

“Sergeant Houser you did inform Zakharovic about this force we are tracking?”
“Ya. I also informed Nakazawa Castle and Moro.”
“Very good.”
