In the rules for constructing infantry platoons, the Tech Manual notes in the infantry weapon classification table: "A - Anti-Aircraft Weapon: Enables platoon to attack airborne aerospace units." with no other caveats. It also lists the AA Weapon Mk. 1 Light AA and Mk. 2 Man-Portable AA support weapons as having the A modifier on the Conventional Infantry Weapons table.
However, Handbook House Marik includes additional rules for these weapons, restricting their targeting to only aerospace units that have made an attack against the hex the AA infantry are in or an adjacent hex.
For general gameplay purposes, do the restrictions in HB:HM still apply to infantry platoons equipped with these weapons or may platoons using these weapons simply make attacks against aerospace units in a manner similar to other unit types?
