so to start

Quote
next mission date is 9/15

OK so your next mission is convoy escort.
Normal forces.
you will have Gulia on the mission and need to make sure nothing happens to her along with the convoy.
The four Ichizoku are not the most out going so you will want to pick units with this in mind  :lipsrsealed:
the convoy will be a group of wheeled vehicles that will be 4 / 6 ... 5 / 7 on the road.  :police:
these are not milspec vehicles so if the get shot they just may go boom .... big boom ... bad boom
please post forces by 9/7 so that if I have to bring extra toys I can  :smilie_happy_clapping:
All units are in play. Some how I do not think bricks of damaged units would be good for this

more to follow

I would like to see what you all are bringing to this by the 7th so if you need some toys I can bring what you need.

as for other items many things are in the works and will get posted soon.

Tristan Botley stared at the faded paper of the Mercury blueprints Fuka had handed him while she looked on expectantly.

"You know," said Tristan.  "The fact that you have blueprints of the Star League-era Mercury doesn't surprise me.  The fact that you have them in old hardcopies like this is what I find shocking."

"I acquired these when I was still in high school."  Fuka boasted.  "I also have paper blueprints of at least another 40 'Mech frames."  She then pointed out the parts that had been circled in the diagrams.  "These are the bits Hoare-sama needs constructed by your machine shop."

"I still don't understand why Harald doesn't just sell the thing for scrap or hands it over to the Com Guard."  Tristan shook his head.  "No one builds Mercurys anymore except for the Blakists and almost no one drives them any more except for Comstar and the Blakists.  It would take forever to forge these parts with what we have here."

"But it can be done."  Fuka shot back.  "Plus, the Mercury is super-easy to repair due to its modular design.  Once we have the parts, fixing it will be a snap."

"Has the Colonel released the money it will take to accomplish this minor miracle?"  Tristan asked.

"He's ready to."  Fuka responded.  "All you have to do is tell him you'll take the job."

"And what if I say no?"

"The Colonel knows you won't."  Fuka smiled.  "Besides, it won't take away from the gauss slug production you do here.  It's only about 250,000 C-bills to make the parts."

"Fine."  Tristan nodded.  "But don't blame me if these parts aren't enough or they don't fit right."

"Arigato gozaimashita, Botley-sama." Fuka bowed.  "I'll tell the Colonel to give you the money right away."  With that, the young woman left The Kraken's Arms.

At her quarters Fuka will call Tristin. “You may want to speak with the ComGuard commander …. Precentor Wilkes. As I recall one of the units that they sent out on a mission in April they had a Mercury. They might help us as they just might need some parts as well.”

Metalstorm will receive the following message from Harald:

Mr. Corrado,

I am in need of a substantially large favor from you.  I have come into possession of a heavily damaged LCT-5M Locust.  However, in order to repair it, I will require a series of parts that are only produced within the Free Worlds League.  Given what is happening in the Inner Sphere lately, though, I'm sure you realize that acquiring such parts would be quite difficult.

Therefore, I am reaching out to you and your connections to see if you can gather what I need.  In return, our next months' stock of Gauss slug ammo will be made available to you at half off its retail cost.  Colonel Greyjoy will also wire you the money for the parts, half in advance and the other half upon completion of the transaction.

The Ironborn are grateful of all your help in the past and for all our future business ventures.  I look forward to your response.  Thank you.

Chief Warrant Officer Harald Hoare

I find your proposal most interesting. I do feel we can do business, but we will need to talk over the fine points of this. I offer that we get together at Dockside in five days. I will make the arrangements for dinner. I will just need to know how many in you party. I look forward to then.

"Yes, thank you Precentor, I'll add these items to the list.  I'll tell you what can be constructed in-house and we can discuss a partnership to go about it.  Good day."
Tristan hung up the phone before heading to see his computer expert, Vernon Wu.
"Vernon," Tristan exclaimed.  "I need you to call up our back-up files from our former connections with Skobel Mechworks.  I need access to all technical data and material regarding the Mercury Battlemech.  Specifically, how they made the components on this list and if we can make them here."
He handed Wu the list of components given to him by Fuka and Precentor Wilkes.  After looking through the list, he responded. "That's a lot of work for an antique, boss."
"Yes, but it's worth trying." said Tristan.  He was about to go on, when a secretary came in.  "Mr. Botley, Harald Hoare is on the phone for you."
"I'll take it in my office."  With that, Tristan left Vernon to his work.

After reaching his office, Tristan picked up the phone.  "Yes, Harald.  What can I do for you?"
"Mr. Corrado is willing to help find the Locust components to fix the 5M.  However, I had to make a deal with him.  One that involves our gauss slug production."
"Oh."  Tristan said incredulously.  "And what might that entail?"
"Well, he's invited me to dinner at Dockside in 5 days."  Harald explained.  "I was wondering if you and your wife could join us?  We can discuss business there."
"My wife is currently in the field."  Tristan replied.  "However, I should be able to attend.  I would also suggest that you bring a certain overly enthusiastic technician of yours with you to this little get together.  I'm sure she'll have plenty to say about not just the Locust, but the Mercury as well."
Harald laughed at that.  "I'll be sure to let her know.  Now, let me tell you what Mr. Corrado wants in return for his help..."

After finishing his conversation with Tristan, Harald called Nicholas.  "Mr. Corrado.  It's CWO Hoare.  We will be a party of four."

our packages only move 4/6 and 5/7 on the road and are very fragile. I am reviewing to see what can be kept with the slow convoy and also some assets that can protect at range. I will be posting my forces in a bit.

“I want your best people looking for a way to cut the natural ECM from the Jeido zan'nendatta as the locals call them.” Wilkes informs he technical department. “Now that WoB has shown interest in that area they will be back and we need a way to use our equipment without them messing with us.”
“Sir why do we not do what the Ironborn does, use our running lights?”
“For starters, night Operations second in the caves they would give us away.” He looks at his people. “They did it so we can as well.”
“What about laser like the locals?”
“Only works when you have direct line of sight but is something like the Ironborn light trick that is a fall back.”
“What makes you thing they have a work around?”
“Well they did not use lights. They did for the most part work as one. Yes they are Light of Mankind, the best WoB has but they are not super men and women. So if they found something we can also.” He checks something on his pad. “I also want the production department making more of the micro Sats. They may only last a few orbits but the one we used on this mission helped a lot.”
“Yes sir.”

“Commanders we have been asked to provide security for a convoy of supplies going to Civitas. The four families that control this area keep to themselves for the most part and have done so from the time they were granted Koichizoku status.” Gulia informs the GSF commanders. “I would offer that you choose the proper members from your units for this mission. This is a GSF only mission so the Ghost and ComGuard will not be joining you for this mission.”

“Commanders by request of the Civitas Koichizoku Gulia will be joining you on this mission. You will see that she is kept out of harm’s way.” Jack will speak with every commander of the GSF.

“So the Chiji does not trust the GSF? She needs to send you as a babysitter for them.” Tekada will quip to Gulia as she gets into her battle gear.

At the assembly point Gulia will talk with the mission commander. “I will ride in one of the PC’s.”
“We have orders to keep you safe.”
“I know but I am capable of taking care of myself and want to ride with the ground pounders.”
“Very well.”

as a former tech his piloting should go down first. 4 / 4
but this is your unit so 3 / 5 is the new stats
piloting will have to go down next time as all skills must be within 2 of each other

Didn't see this before posting in the other, was wondering why the date seemed old.

I've had a very very rough set of real life things going on this past month so haven't kept up to date/posted as much as I had planned before everything started going nuts. So I will sum up, and anything that needs to be expanded on, let me know.

Post Previous Mission:
We want to set up sensors and hardlines out of the ECM area so we can get notifications about any goings on at those caverns. Even if we get some false alarms, it will take less personal to deal with that than trying to watch the whole area.

We are learning more about laser coms and now when hearing about ECM heavy areas, won't be caught with a HQ vehicle that can't do anything and serves no purpose. 7 tons of equipment vs little crystals.

Magnetic Pulse Warheads are being added to the to do list. The to do list will be changed up a bit to have "What we are trying to get" and "What we are investigating the manufacture of". I will update this sometime soon.

We'd love to have some training and installation help from the illuminated Ironborn. I say illuminated because while everyone else had a finger up their nose (see 3 turns of trying to communicate for 1 pair), they actually acted competently.

There are some other things of interest, but like I said, RL swamp over here.

Pre Mission:
Mission is escort of 4/6 vehicles and/or mechs. So, I plan to field the following:

Mech 1:
- Rangoric in a MAD-5S MV 4/6 (hard to keep up, but vehicles can't go full bore due to turns/etc so I figure it will be fine)
Mech 2:
- Hermes in a HER-4S MV 9/14(18 MASC) (can keep up while walking :) )
Vehicle:
- NYYRIKK in the Hawk Moth
Infantry:
- Aether in the Karnov
- 1 Unit Grey Death Standard with MG
- 1 Unit Grey Death Standard with LRR

If we know the route we plan to take, I'd like to do a sim run where we try and figure out the best ambush points, see which fit the pattern we've seen so far, then see if there are any locals that can give some intel on those areas. Specifically, they seem to like areas with crap communications. If this is too involved for now, that's fine.

"How do you feel about...mountain climbing?"

Those words rang in Julia's mind as she tripped over a boulder on the path she and Freyja treaded up the side of one of the extinct volcanoes of Constantine Island.

"Are you OK?" Freyja called back.

"Yeah, that was embarassing." Julia picked herself up and wiped the dust from her coat.  "Remind me why we're doing this again?"

"I want a higher vantage point." Freyja replied.  "We can't see much from our side of the island, so I wanted to find a promontory where we can check everything out.  It should be only a little further up.  Don't worry, we won't go all the way to the caldera.  We'd be too obvious, especially if they have snipers."

"Good, I really don't wanna get my head blown off."

The two women reached a slope where they could see the docks along with the fishing village.  They could also see much more of the island than before.  Fishing out a pair of binoculars, Freyja scanned about.

OOG:  shadhawk: You tell me what Freyja sees.

OK so this is what you have from the MK. 1 eyeball

The Harbor Area
Hofn, where you have just docked, is the biggest commercial port on Constantine (a subarctic island in the Norse Eyja, Nejiro) and is well known for its first rate ship and boat maintenance, repair, and chandlery services. Fjardaal {aluminium of the fjords} is the largest manufacturer at the port, with a capacity of 345,000 metric tons annually, has its own 690MW hydropower station. Bijon, also located at the port, manufactures tempered glass industrial, commercial, military, and consumer products, the factory outlet store is popular with visitors and locals alike. The Konstantinovich main shipyards and headquarters are north of the port about an hour away; and the Konstantinovich Koichizoku landhold is inland a few hours away near Mount Kerling {Old Hag} amidst the Haukadalr Skogur {valley of hawks forest}. In June the midnight sun lasts twenty to twenty four hours and the Lobster Festival is in full swing. The weather is constantly inconstant, so rain is likely. The temperatures range from an average of nine to a high of fifteen degrees celsius; layering is recommended. Enjoy the hot springs, geothermal pools, saunas, and the glass enclosed indoor swimming pools. At this time of year camping, fishing, kayaking, and hiking is popular, as are the whale watching and puffin spotting tours and the Icelandic horse riding tours. The surf is up at the point breaks and the volcanic reefs with swells up to two and a half meters, especially popular is Sandvik (within thirty minutes) which is a jaw dropping run of over a thousand meters of black-diamond sand with a continuous swell, remember your wet suit as even in summer the water will be around ten degrees celsius. High Street has many shops and galleries with goods from local crafters and artisans as well as imports from across the Sphere. Bars, pubs, and restaurants abound, from quiet cafes to chat to jam packed party venues. Don't miss the beer and food tours. There are live shows and events, nightclubs, brothels and yukaku, casinos and gambling venues, social clubs, burlesque, stand-up, storytellers, cinemas, drag artists, theaters, and sports.

from things when this started. per what Dawn gave you.

Constantine (2054 sq km with more than 800 km of coastline) is an island in the Norse Eyja {north isles} owned by the Konstantinovich Koichizoku, which sits on the edges of a hot spot, the island is heavily forested and mountainous, though there are no active volcanoes on the island there are many hot springs and mineral springs, and several undersea volcanoes in nearby waters. The climate and environment is sub-arctic and most of the mountains are eternally snow topped and hold the remains of glaciers. There are numerous rivers and lakes. The people are ship-builders, fishers, farmers (pasture, greenhouses, apiaries, and vertical farms with indoor fields and ponics that raise goats, sheep, rabbits, poultry, deer, barley, oats, rye, winter wheat, and amaranth), foresters, and miners. The island holds the Konstantinovich landhold and Konstantinovich Shipyards headquarters (which designs and constructs a wide variety of boats and ships from dinghy to stellar tugs, from patrol craft to freight ships, from fishing trawlers to yachts, from frigates to submarines, from barges to small craft - also marine and stellar engineering, marine and stellar architecture, maintenance, replenishment, repair, shipping, warehousing, logistics, distribution; they also craft traditional style longships) There are a couple dozen villages and four port towns with shipyards, fishing fleets, and a commercial port.

Yes they will need to poke around for more  this is the fun of it.

So, I will have a Marauder, Karnov, Hawk Moth, and 2 gray death squads.

I do not seem to have a Hermes HER-4S. I might have something that is close though.

Also, I updated my GitHub (link to the left under my profile name) so fit better with the notes that I saw on the USB that I have started to go through. GitHub limits the width, so it looked better on my machine. But I might end up making it a little static web app depending on how things end up looking. I'm almost to the point of needing more control over it. Markdown is a good start, but once you need any kind of visual ease of use, it just fails to let you do those things. Actually, later I will have to remember to mark on GitHub while ones I have models for.

Yes, Mech 1 is the Marauder, Mech 2 is the Hermes, Armoured is the Hawk Moth, and the Infantry pick is the Karnov. I really meant that I don't have a miniature for the Hermes HER-4S. I realized I wasn't clear in my post. I have miniatures for all the others.

Working on a "Web Site" for all this stuff. I started with moving my markdown files into it. They should be easier to find/look at since you don't need to land on GitHub anymore. And I plan to organize my thoughts and all the data that lands in these threads. However, before I start deep on that road I want to see if it's ok with people. These threads are public so I figure it will be fine, but some of the things aren't posted, maybe, so off I go...

Couple of the interesting pages:

https://www.rangoric.com/BattleTech-Campaign/training
I plan to make it so you can click on one and it will show below the benefits of that training and the required training needed.

https://www.rangoric.com/BattleTech-Campaign/lance-platoon
These unit tables now have enough room. I want to make them a bit nicer to me aesthetically, and a bit more dynamic.

Oh, and on mobile it's way better/easier than just looking at them on GitHub so I can more easily use it to look stuff up at the game.

After the convoy has arrived and all escort units have been checked over the locals will have the GSF units join them for a meal.

One of the locals will ask Gulia if she would join him for a walk.

“Irasshaimase Gulia-san.” Gareth Jezza welcomes her with a bow. “I am happy that you made the trip.”
“How could I not, your invention was one that could not be refused Jezza-sama.”  She gives him a deep bow of respect.
“You could have done as your … co-leader of the GSF has done so far … Nothing!” He turns so they can walk to the gardens. “I am happy that Meiyo-sama saw the wisdom in having the GSF providing security for this shipment of security items we need here.” When they get to the gardens, she will see a table with places set for five with three others already seated. “Will you join us for lunch Gulia-san?”
“I will be most happy to do so Jezza-sama.” She looks and knows the other three. They are Helina Nohealani, Katja Sorenson Rask and James Kubera the other leaders of the Civitas militias.” Ranchi ni dōseki sa sete itadaki arigatōgozaimashita.” She bows to each of the other three.
“No please it is we four that are honored that you join us.” James Kubera, head of the Storozhey (watchmen) of Koichizoku Yakovich. He will stand and give her a bow.
“We welcome one who helps Meiyo-Sama with the GSF.” Helina Nohealani head of Koichizoku Palakiko militia Pandions (Osprey) will also stand bow and point to one of the open seats. “Things have been troubling here on Nijero for the last year plus and it is about time the GSF has responded to one of our requests for a security escort.”
Standing last will be Katja Sorenson Rask of Koichizoku Sorenson leader of the Longwings and give her a bow. “We were starting to think that this part of Nijero had lost respect in the eyes of the Chiji somehow.”
“Kesshite bureina ito wa arimasenshi, mata, kesshite sōde wa arimasendeshita.” Gulia takes the seat offered her. “The Chiji has only now become aware of the many security escorts requests made by many of the different Koichizoku. As she now knows she is putting in place things to see that any and all requests for extra security escorts are given the proper attention.” Looking at the others she is getting an understanding of just how bad Tekeda has been at his job. “I want each of you to please take my personal number so that in the future if the GSF can be of service you can contact me directly.” She will give all four her card.
“Dōmo arigatōgozaimasu.” The four will thank her.
A server will bring some tea and appetizers.
“So Gulia-san how do you find working with the members of the GSF?” Katja will ask.
“For the short time I have been working with them I find that each of the commanders have ways of getting the job done.” She will smile.
“They are all off-worlders after all and have different …. Styles.” Katja will smile back.
“They bring ideas and needed equipment to help keep Nejiro safe in these times.” She gives Katja a look of what do you want.
“This is true. Nijero can only do so much with what she has. We all do what we can.” Sweeping the table with one arm. “As you do now Gulia-san.”
“With all of the different troubles that now come to this world we do need to know if the Chiji does understand this.” Helina will offer as she takes a sip of her tea. “You were a Devil Dog before what you do now correct Gulia-san?”
“Correct Helina-sama. I was a squad leader before medical informed me that I would no longer be able to work in space for long periods of time due to a combat injury.”
“Roomers are around that offers of protection and heavy equipment are being offered by others.” Gareth will interject. “This combat injury will keep you ground side?”
“Hai Gareth-sama. I can travel but I would not be good for my old station.”
“From the news these offers are made many times and if what is in print and broadcasted are true things all over are bad.” James will say. “Is this why Meiyo-sama made you a member of the GSF team?”
“Īe James-sama. Meiyo-sama noticed that Tekeda ….. Tekeda-san could use some help. With the GSF growing he was unable to oversee all of them. Tai-sa Taka spoke to the Chiji on my behalf. She looked over my record and wanted me due to my time with the Devil Dogs.”
“Naruhodo.” With a shake of head James will look to the others.
“The Chiji knows of these things and is doing all she can to keep Nejire safe. Funding the GSF is one of the things she has done. She knows many of the Koichizoku and Dai Ichizoku are having trouble keeping up the militias they have and that the Nijero Militia has suffered from not getting proper funds. She has been working on different things to fix these problems. She also has the Combine doing more to help keep Nejiro safe.” Gulia will look at all four. What are they looking for? What do they want?
Dinner will be served and the five will talk well into the night.
“Kichōna o jikan o saite go raihō itadaki, arigatōgozaimasu Gulia-san.” Gareth will escort her to the waiting car.
“Itsu demo o kigaru ni o denwa kudasai.” She will say as she enters the vehicle.
“I will hold you to that.”

“You did not inform her.”
“This is not the time.”
“So when will be the time?”
“Soon, I hope. The ball as they say in now in the Chiji’s court.”
“Kimi wa kiken'na gēmu o shite iru nda yo, tomoyo.”
“Tashika ni sōdesuga, watashitachiha kiken'na jidai ni ikite imasu.”

“Precentor we have gone over all of the heavy equipment and have a list of what is what.”
“Very well what do you have for me?”
“To start with as you do not wish to move into a heavier ride, we are putting the Griffin salvaged from Pegasus to the front of the repair line. As it has better hitting power and can survive hits your current ride cannot all of the commanders feel you should be in this ‘Mech. We will keep your Griffin in service just in case it is needed.”
“OK I will go along with this. What other changes are you looking to make?”
“We the Delta level II should be upgraded. Having two lite QRF units does put us at a disadvantage.”
“So how does George feel about this?”
“He has no problem with it he just does not want very hi-tech or slow units.”
“So what units are you looking to swap in? We have a backup for his and Ann’s rides after all.”
“We know this sir, but we all know that Holly and Nick will not move to heavier units. With the BA and speed, they do make a good QRF.” The Adept looks over his pad.  “Getting back to Delta, we think the Ostsol from for George. It is all energy like his current ride but two times heavier and only a bit slower. For Ann we are looking at the Osiris, it is as fast on the ground can jump. It is half as heavy and has much more fire power. The XL engine is a problem, but we do have her current ride and a backup for it.”
“Well as long as they say OK do it. We will keep the four ‘Mech as they are easy upkeep.”
“Yes sir.”
“What other units do you have ideas for?”
“Well ideas ….. we have a couple of units that none will even look at.”
“Why? The items we have are for the most part new. Yes, some do need repair, but they are fine units.”
“Well, the Nexus and Raijin from Pegasus none of the pilots want anything to do with them.”
“Too much Word for them …. I can understand that. See if any of the GSF would be interested in them. If they don’t want them check with Storm, he should be able sell them.”
“Yes sir. The Assault units are a problem as well sir they are very slow and do not fit the unit.
“I will think about that. The fire power they bring in something I will not turn down easy. Before I forget have George, Ann and Donny pick six of the Pegasus survivors that can pilot a ‘Mech. I want them to work with them as I have an idea for a security force.”
“Will do sir.”
“I want the techs to put the backup rides in storage. We have rides for people, and I want them ready if we need them. Inform the quartermaster that we need to get the weapons so that the techs can make pods for Wood’s and Cage’s so the backup Raptor can be setup in the mods they normally run. Last off tell all the pilots that we have backup rides for they to cross train on them if the configuration not the same as what they pilot now, and on that note back to work everybody.”
“Yes sir.”

“So how did it go?” Meiyo asks Gulia.
“I am not sure Chiji.” Gulia answers.
“Explain. You had dinner with all four Civitas militia commanders. They asked that I send someone.”
“I had the feeling they had more to say than thank you for helping with security for the convoy and asking about my background. They danced around the full time we were together.” Gulia looks to Meiyo. “I just keep getting the feeling if I pushed, I could have gotten more.”
“Well having the four heads of the Civitas militias treating to dinner is no small matter. They were testing the waters as it were.” Meiyo looks at Guila on the other side of the table. “If you had pushed, I do not think you would have gotten any more. I think they may have been put off had you. I am sure we will be hearing from them soon.”
“I hope so. I feel like I let you down.”
“Do not feel that way. You did well and as one of the few to have a sit down with all four of them, you have better than many others have.” Meiyo will hand a letter to Gulia. “Do keep the line open so that if they ask for help, we can do what we can.”
“Hai Meiyo-sama!” As she stands. “May I ask a question?”
“Please, what?” Meiyo stands.
“Have you had any dealings with them?” Moving to the door.
“A few, the one I will always remember is the one just before I started my time with the DCA.”
“Why?”
“I spent a full day with them, and I am still trying to understand the circles to this day.”

“So, when are you going to work on your defense?” Ishann asks Audra.
“What are you talking about?” She responds.
“Your attacks are good but when someone can get you on your back foot you have trouble.”
“What? What?’
“If I come at you as hard as you come at others you back pedal. You look for a way to attack. Defense is not something you do.”
He is correct Audra.” Isolde said as she watches them spar.
“Watch Ana, she is all defense very little attack. She also needs to change her game.” Looking to the other side of the room. ”Now Wayne will attack when he can but keeps his guard up so things do not get through.” Ishann said very flat. “Kind of how he is with others in other matters.”
Logan walks over. “Keep your eye on the problem but also keep your head on a swivel so you have a chance to see what is trying to hit you from your blind side.” He shakes his head as Wayne does not push when he and Ana are paired up. “Someday he will stand up for himself with that one. Hay maybe she just may see what is in front of her as well.”
“She thinks that if she does not keep her station other will look down. She does not understand just how many of the Ichizoku do see her as the future. Oh well, someday.” He looks at Audra. “Defend yourself as he launches at her with a flurry of attacks.

“I am with The Hands of the Goddess and we would like to purchase one of you Saracen tanks.” Laila will inform the salesperson. “We would like to take delivery as soon as possible.”
“I am sure I can find a unit that will fit your needs.”

Nejiro News 1
Back in February word of Chancellor Sun-Tzu Liao and Naomi Centrella’s engagement had been released. The announcement also stated that the Chancellor will also adopt Ilsa.

HBC News
With all that is going in the inner sphere it is good to see some good things.

The Dakuu-orianyusu (Dark Warrior News)
Why is this news of value to you here on Nejiro?

Shin no wadopuresu (True Word Press)
More information they use to keep you from looking at what is going in your home. They are doing what they can to keep your eyes off of them.

“Looks like Clan warriors are not so great.”
“That is for sure that one spilled his guts like a fish.”
“Too bad he did not know much. But the Chiji will be happy that he confirmed that someone in Konstantinovich Ichizoku is working the Jaguar’s.”
“Now all we need to find out is just who.”

Nejiro News 1
Word that Isao Nakazawa’s trial will restart soon security has been improved and a more secure location has been selected. We are told that news coverage will happen, but it will be done via remote video feed to keep all safe.

HBC News
We have been informed that Isao Nakazawa’s trial will soon restart. From a new hidden location with remote feeds, we will carry this important event for all of our readers.

Hilo TV3
Isao Nakazawa’s trial is set to return now that new security is in place. We have been given one of the remote feeds so our viewers can follow this event.

The Dakuu-orianyusu (Dark Warrior News)
So the she-demon will keep up the fake trial of Isao Nakazawa. She only is doing this to keep you all distracted of what is happening here on Nejiro. Nejiro is being pulled apart due to the lack of leadership. The she-demon and her sell swords are only making you pay for their wrong ways. We will see how this false trial goes.

Shin no wadopuresu (True Word Press)
So, we now will get to follow a trial that is not. Your leaders want you to think they are fair. They are not. They want to think they care for you the people of Nejiro. They don’t. They only look to keep the power they have. Good people of Nejiro we offer you the protection and security you deserve.

“We have a new location set for Nakazawa’s trial. The location is secure and away from any civilian locations.”
“Have the GSF provide security for the move.”
“But Chiji this is a Nejiro matter.”
“I understand this and the GSF will provide security for the move.”
“The GSF have other matters that they need to attend to.”
“And they will. I want them providing security for the matter.”

Commanders your next mission is to provide a security force that will help see that Isao Nakazawa gets to the new location of his trial. The convoy of transport vehicles will be five (5) wheeled vehicles, and you will see to it that all five make to this location safe and sound.

OK so this is the next mission.
GSF units normal forces. Pick a 'Mech - Vehicle - Infantry - what you want.

10/13 is the next date

Audra staggered back, her clumsy defenses easily bypassed by Ishaan's more practiced blade.  She took several strikes before her mother's lessons kicked in and she saw an opportunity to strike at a joint: the inside of Ishaan's elbow.  She lunged, but Ishaan saw what she was doing and he brought up his gauntleted hand to block her shinai.

"Hmph."  Rather than angry, he looked at her, disappointed.  "I see now why Sanada bears a grudge against you.  You know that strike is illegal, Pyke-san."

Audra lowered her shinai.  "I guess I can't get anything past you, Ryuzoji-san."

"Who taught you how to fight?"

"Technically, my dad and uncle taught me how to fight."  Audra answered before adding, "But it was my mom who taught me to win at any cost.  She didn't want her daughter to die or...be despoiled by some pervert."

"Geez," said Hua Chen, who along with her brother had taken a break. "Where were you even brought up that that was a possibility?"

"I've been around a bit."  Audra replied.  "I've met lotsa guys who see a young girl and think she's weak, easy prey.  They ended up with broken bones and useless genitals."

Hua's brother Wei winced, covering his crotch.  "Remind me never to get on your bad side, Pyke-san."

Ishaan considered for a moment.  "Might I propose a different scenario, then.  Ana, come here."

"Yes, Ryuzoji-san?"

Ishaan handed over his shinai to Logan.  "I want you to attack me."

Ana didn't understand.  "But, you have no weapon."

"True," Ishaan admitted, "but I will have a shield.  Pyke-san, I want you to defend me from Ana's sword."

"Defend you?"  Audra was confused.

"You know only attack, Pyke-san."  Ishaan said.  "Konstantinovich-dono, you know only defense.  Now, the roles will be reversed.  I want to you to strike at me with all that you have.  Pyke-san, you must protect me without using any offensive moves, legal or otherwise.  This will help teach you both that one must balance both offense and defense in order to become a more complete fighter.  Given your friendship, I trust neither of you would deliberately hurt the other or use under-handed tactics to win.  Now, begin."

Audra and Ana took up positions.  Ishaan stood in the center of the room, defenseless.  Audra stood in front of him, facing Ana.  Slowly and clumsily, Ana attacked.  Audra took up a guard just as unskilled as Ana's strike.  The shinai bounced off each other.  Ishaan remained stock still, unharmed.

"Good," He said.  "Now, try and show a bit more skill.  That blow and the defense that stopped it remind me of two small children wacking at each other with sticks.  I hope you put on a better show.  Now then, continue.  My life is in your hands, after all."

Both girls nodded and the fight resumed.

General IC Things

(Some of this is restating from earlier, more directly)

Jasmine's Latest Memo:

Quote
So welcome to what could be our new home. I'm working with other senior staff to build out a repository of information about everything from what you can get the best Gyro, to where you can have a nice relaxing weekend.

The official language on this planet is Japanese, and so as of today we will also be taking this as our shared language instead of Swedish. I am recommending that if you don't know Japanese, that you start learning, because that nice relaxing weekend? Won't be so relaxing when you can't talk to anyone. Any lessons on Japanese or planetary etiquette are available and can be taken as part of your training.

And on the topic of training, I want us to get to 33% in training, with 2-3 GSF capable deployments. Language and etiquette will not take units out of action so get that in early. Also, while I find out the finer details of available training, we will be having 1 movie a day of un subtitled local Japanese cinema playing in the rec room. Even those of us who know Japanese should take part in language training as the specific version of Japanese might be different.

After a meeting with the GSF, it is mostly agreed that Draconis Combine C3 units will be the standard. So those interacting with them might want a primer on that.

About the previous escort, Ambrosia said 'The only good time to ambush this convoy is before or after it happens.'

In related news Kem will filling in as our Jukebox during on base lunches for a week. Have those requests ready, and don't forget to pick what language you want to hear it in.

I will inquire with our liaison about language and etiquette training. If there is nothing offered in general, Daisy & Kem can take ownership of it. Even would be willing to pay for a temporary pair of teachers until my whole group is 'Up to speed'.

Jasmine will take her lessons from Kem & Daisy but show up for any exams the teachers decide to have as part of the course. Mostly so that the lessons can be aimed at upcoming events.

Ulam will resist and will end up knowing any technical words that come up the most often, but that's about it. I know I want a family member to be his unlucky assistant, so will look into who it could be. I also want them to be electronics focused, since that's not the parts Ulam favors.

And on that topic, we are investigating what it would take to refit to match the DC C3 units. Since it sounds like a pain, I am not going with suggesting a Nejiro C3 version, but if that is idea is workable and agreeable, I prefer it :)

In hindsight, I picked English as the 'Official' language since I thought it would make things easier in game. But I'd rather swap to Swedish or Swedenese, and also keep the 'Official' language change to Japanese. Plot wise it works out about the same and feels better. Would this be ok?

I'm going to reach out to the Ironborn (who are stationed at the same camp we are) about their light setup, and price/time out the process for refit and training for that.

Finally (well finally for this part of this post), I want those sensors setup at those crystal caves. The crystals are way too valuable and dangerous to not keep a close eye on, especially in places we have already seen hostile movement.

If a post/more detail is needed for any of the above, let me know.

Game Day Specific:

Movement going to be the same as last time? (4/6 before road boost)

Do we know the target location and the route to be taken?
How much time will we have to prepare and scout for good locations for things to happen at?
Are these vehicles large enough that a Schiltron or a Daimyo HQ match their profile, or if not are tanks of that caliber (Or a Sturmfeur) able to block visibility to the vehicles? Idea being to decrease the odds that a first shot (and maybe later shots) will even be at one of the escorted vehicles.

On a related note, with a trial of any kind, I don't suspect an assassination along the way, more a rescue. I haven't dug enough to find out, what is Isao Nakazawa on trial for and what is some context around who he is or what I can look up?

General Questions

These are OOC, as for certain pointed things y'all are better are knowing exactly the answer are than me blindly digging through stuff :) They will lead to IC things though. Anything I need to ask IC about, let me know, this is purely about already known info or info that is public.

So far from what I've heard:
We have standard ammo/armor taken care of and readily available.
LRM launchers, basic weapons and Gauss ammo.
Battle Armor can be repaired, and is trying to build up to making them.
Endo and Ferro are 'a work in progress' I hear.

Are there any other plans of players/npcs supplies/building that we are aware of?

Mention of the contract has come up a few times, so I have questions on that also. How many 'Units' do I need to have available? I'm not at the point of being able to start any recruitment but want to be aggressive with training and related things and want to see how aggressive I can start.

What is the process like for land ownership/citizenship/etc?

The Ironborn will show you how to set up LED lights on your 'Mechs and vehicles and the codes they use.

Isao Nakazawa is on trial for allying himself with the Kokuryu-kai (The Black Dragon Society) and attempting to sow dissent against the Governor with the goal of overthrowing her and claiming the planet for the Black Dragons.
