WIP - Davion 7th Crucis Lancers Assault(?) Lance

Finally doing a canon Battletech Inner Sphere paint scheme (as I wanted to do), House Davion (Federated Suns) 7th Crucis Lancers.  First and second most the drybrushing of the primer (Vallejo Black Primer for the Blood Asp, Jagermech, and Hunchback IIC and Army Painter Battletech paint starter set factory white primer for the Marauder IIC) and drybrushed citadel base corax white for the black primered miniatures.




Should I drybrush Black Primer on the Marauder IIC and then drybrush the white paint onto it?

This is just the beginning, mind you.  Haven't applied the base color of Davion Green Speed Paint yet

I would just do the basecoat/primer in black and drybrush the Davion green over it and do the detailing.

Black primered the miniatures by dry brushing Vallejo brush on black primer over the whites.  Righto!  Onto the Davion Green.  Thanks for the feedback!

The feed back that I got for the black primering is that I should drybrush some light gray or white onto them before applying the speed paint. (this is on CGL's discord)

Applied a drybrush of Apple Barrel Granite Grey using the same brushes.  Gonna apply the Davion green speed momentarily.

Oh!  Thanks for the reminder of that!  I'll do that next before I apply the color, unfortunately I don't have a scar white layer paint so I bought it from amazon.

Lightly drybrushed citadel layer white scar paint on them and they're ready for the davion green speed paint (hopefully)

Not done with the main speed paint coating yet.  This is what I got thus far in terms of progress.  The white areas on the Asp are for the red and blue highlights and several metallics.

Davion green speed paint base color complete.  Now onto the red and blue highlights

the backup brush that I used in case my beginner brush's bristles needs a fix
