Pretty basic substitution here - just rip out the Medium Lasers and replace with a Large. However this is enough to make a substantive change: you can still plink aircraft and other vehicles fishing for a golden BB or motive critical from across the map, but at medium ranges you have a ranged weapon that deals a reasonable amount of penetrative damage. Sure, you don't have the up-close punch, but this focuses more on being a pure ranged support 'Mech, with a combination of the advantages of the BJ-1 and the BJ-1DB. It's heat-neutral save for movement, so either run with a 3/3/2 (or 3/3/3/2 if you're sure you can hit TMM without turning next round) pattern, or else plant yourself in some elevated woods and fire continuously. It's not a world-beating headhunter, but for 890BV if you need a ranged support 'Mech for your medium lance you can find yourself justifying it cost-wise with a couple of shattered rotors or crippled motive systems.
