I always assumed that all fighters would have to have foldable wings or every fighter would be restricted to the same wing width to fit into launch bays

Nice to see acknowledgment of that

Speaking of folding wings...

A 60-ton Afridi heavy OmniFighter taxiing after leaving its hangar. The fighter's pilot has raised the full cockpit ejection pod, commonly known as the 'Raven's Beak' to give him a better view as he moves around the tarmac. Not raised in atmospheric combat, the 'beak' is often raised in space, giving the craft another cooling surface to use when radiating heat. With their short stubby wings the Afridi was also known as the 'manned missile' in Clan service.

I do :) But they'll be in a fan TRO that should, if the proof readings done soon ish be started sometime soon :) And then its a case of waiting for art and the PDF to be done and working on that :)

With any luck, and depending on work schedules etc and getting a slot with Mr Plog, the book could be out for free downloads by September.

A Project NELSON Snow Raven Aerospace Pilot.  You'll note they look human rather than;

Because I hated the ASF phenotype idea, plus having a smaller body would be a disadvantage in high-g situations. This is arguably our biggest main diversion, basically the cannonical ASF phenotype never comes to pass until in the 3060's where its introduced as the protomech pilot. The ASF pilots are still 'small' with the average being 5'4 with a tall pilot being 5'9 and they're not as physically big as a Warrior, their training focuses on endurance and stamina as well as flexibility etc.

If you want a real world image for one. -

Basically the Scientists turned them into a race of Olympic gymnasts.

Any thoughts and comments are most welcome!

Point Leader Kara is seen here wearing the new 'RA-1 'Rook' flight suit and helmet. The Rook acts as both a flight suit and a space suit, being totally sealed and once hooked up to an air supply can operate as a normal void suit. A flexible kevlar mesh as well as harder plating protects the vitals and makes the suit very hard to tear which is vital as a small tear can mean a slow death by suffocation in the void of space. The helmet, seen here without its oxygen link up attached integrates fully with the electronics of an aerospace fighter and acts as the primary HUD for the Warrior. Under the aegis of Project NELSON the Rook flight suit would replace all older marks by 3044.

I like it: but I have a slight problem with the two orange tubes going into the side of his head. To me it seems like that would block pilot vision quite a lot.

But that’s just my two cents: love the picture otherwise

I've had a few comments about those. This is a Neurohelmet as well and those bits are the sensors for the eye movement controls. As its a neurohelmet as well it means it interfaces directly with external cameras across the fighters hull, letting the pilot see in 360 without any obstruction :)

Love this!!! Now if only I could get away from work...
Epitaph on an Army of Mercenaries

These, in the day when heaven was falling,      Their shoulders held the sky suspended;
The hour when earth's foundations fled,         They stood, and earth's foundations stay;
Followed their mercenary calling,               What God abandoned, these defended,
And took their wages, and are dead.             And saved the sum of things for pay.

Precentor Martial, as requested these are the Mag-scans and Thermal scans we've intercepted in reports from the Lyran, Rasalhague and Combine theaters, also of note is this one.

This was from the Gypsy Queen right before she stopped transmitting. Its definitely smaller than an Elemental and were deployed by a shuttle that approached the JumpShip. Twenty-five of them show up on the sensor logs but this was the clearest image thus far.

Done by the magnificent Matt Plog, any thoughts are most welcome!
