point defense for a shutdown mech

I have a unit with point defense special equipment in base contact with a shutdown mech when the mech is targeted by an attack. Does the point defense prevent the +4 attack bonus against the shutdown mech?

No, the modifier for attacking a shutdown mech still applies.
