 15 January 3064

Aboard Shipyard One, Boss was getting testy with the head of the SLDF Quality Assurance team. The Team Lead had been quite upset when the new SLDF order had come arrived back in October and the Boss had put the order into production right away. "You do not understand sir, this procurement order was not funded until 1 January, the way it works is funding arrives 1 January and THEN you begin construction. Not begin production the moment you have the order."

"I understand how things work quite well. You stick to making sure we turn out the best quality of work. I decide when and what we build. Now, I have 10 Buford II Corvettes completed already here and another 10 completed at Demeter. So sign off on them so the damned SLDF can get them out of my storage areas. I will have all 40 of the Buford II Corvettes completed by 4 March of this year. Since the SLDF did not order a single thing that will fit in my 500K ton yards, I am using them to build their damn Corvettes." Boss argued

"But you are throwing off the delicate balance of training the crews for the vessels. The procurement process is closely linked to the ability to crew the needed vessels." Commodore Michael Walsh fired back

"That is not my problem, my problem is getting the ships built in the fastest, most cost effective way. How about telling your head honcho's back on Terra that it helps if they actually consult with a manufacturer and not just say I want this many and you have a year to do it. See that huge display right there? Take a good look at it and then go tell your bosses that they better get some damned crews out here by April because my storage area is going to be full and so will Demeter's." Boss said as he pointed to his production schedule

Commodore Michael Walsh just gulped as he stared at the display board. He had just been transferred out here from Federated Boeing's Galax facility and while it had been massive, this was a order of magnitude larger operation. Where Federated Boeing did not begin construction until money hit the bank, this fool builds in advance and in quantity. He had taken a ride around in a shuttle and saw stockpiled jump cores in their transport cocoons clearly labeled. Who in their right mind builds hugely expensive jump cores before they are needed?

The outgoing Team Lead had warned him that this guy was a fanatic and to be careful about how he approached him on any subject. But Commodore Michael Walsh was not a true bean counter, he actually had worked aboard the Titan Yards in the Terra system, which he had thought was the cat's meow end all be all construction facility, until he got out here. This blew the doors off the Titan Yards.

He better send a message to his bosses and tell them to quit messing around and get a crap ton of people out here. Geez, training command is going to have a heart attack. Before he left, he had to ask "Sir, if Demeter is doing the same thing as you are here, why are you building 10 extra Buford II Corvettes here and I will assume you are building another 10 extra at Demeter, that is 20 Buford II Corvettes over the order?"

"Because either your bosses are going to order another 20 to 40 for next year, in which case I plan on having them ready to go and all I have to do is unmothball them, or someone else will buy them, it is our most popular ship. It is called mass production." Boss explained trying not to lose his temper

"But, if I am correct, the BLSA ordered 100 HPG Relay ships, you will not complete that order in time?" Walsh asked

"Ah, see the BLSA is a little smarter, see they just place an order and let us build them. Besides, we can build the ships faster than they can get me the mobile HPG systems. Their contract is on a until they are done basis. I already told them it would be easier to let us build the HPG systems here than ship them from Terra. I will just park the ships and install the systems as they arrive. Everything will be ready to hook the systems in and turn them over to the BLSA folks." Boss said

Commodore Michael Walsh could only shake his head, no one in their right mind spends Billions building ships in advance, this guy is a complete crackpot.

On the surface, Duke Scott Mitchell was in the waiting room of the planets primary hospital. George was undergoing surgery to correct his heart issues. Twyla had assured him that it could be done and several other Clan Nova Cat doctors had agreed with her. They had been at it for 4 hours so far. While he waited, he sat and let his mind wander on all the details of running a March. He had been forced to deploy 4 Infantry Regiments to Okefenokee to quell the damned low scale fighting and sabotage to keep the petroleum goods flowing. There was still no word on where his missing people were from Merowinger nor the pirates location. The final count had stood at 1132 people had been taken by the pirate raid. He now had small settlements on every planet in the March, and the flow of new settlers was much more manageable now that professionals had taken over from him.

The Bamburgh Military Academy was up and running, quite smoothly he had to admit. Cathy Mayweather, COO of the joint MAS and Jalastar Aerospace factory, working with Clan Nova Cat had reverse engineered several Clan fighters and was confident that they could now build:

Tyre- 55 ton standard Aerospace Fighter
Hydaspes- 95 ton standard Aerospace Fighter
 Visigoth- 60 ton Omni Fighter
 Scytha- 90 ton Omni Fighter
 Avar- 35 ton Omni Fighter
 Batu- 40 ton Omni Fighter

He was forced to return to the here and now when the door opened and Twyla walked in. Luckily, her radiant smile announced that everything had gone smoothly before she even said so. "George will recover fully. The operation went very well and in a few months he will be able to return to full duty."

"Thank you Twyla, getting George back to full speed will be a huge help." Scott said

 Tortuga Prime

Khan Santin West was actually thinking about non military items. His Clan would need revenue or money to exist in the Inner Sphere. Trade would only go so far. Clan Diamond Shark are the professional's at this sort of thing, but if his Clan was to survive and thrive here, he would have to learn the ropes quickly. He did not want to openly sell his military technology. The Federated Commonwealth could already produce Clan spec weapons and even his Omni Mechs, as Scott had so clearly demonstrated a few months ago.

Being on the High Council, he knew that Mitchell Aerospace had been awarded the HPG Relay ship contract for 100 ships. Clan Nova Cat had the ability to build the mobile HPG systems. It cost a ton of money and time to ship them all the way from Terra to Mackolla. He pulled up the BLSA information on his Star League issued portable computer, the BLSA shows the Mobile HPG at a cost of 1.2 Billion C-Bills each. Since Clan Nova Cat still operated on a cashless basis internally, they could easily make much needed money this way. And it would be easy to transport them to Mackolla from here instead of Terra. We could even assist the BLSA in building their HPG network out here.

He called up the BLSA estimates for Mackolla and Bamburgh HPG stations, okay those are already in transit. But there were many more planets that needed HPG stations built. All along the border of the Federated Commonwealth. Clan Nova Cat had already built and installed HPG's on all of their planets. It took 2 years, but they had done it. They had the ability. That is a source of cash that would not require the need to sell weapons. He would have to bring this up at the next High Council Meeting.

 1-10 February 3064
     Braunschweig

Clan Diamond Sharks 28th Cruiser Cluster captured the planet in a swift operation that quickly dealt with the small infantry protecting the planet. The 28th Cruiser would leave it's Elemental Trinary to garrison the planet. It was obvious to saKhan Angus Labov, that although his force could easily conquer the Hanseatic League, garrisoning the planets adequately enough would be a major problem. He would send word back to Khan Sennet advising that she should make preparations to begin the move. Antwerp alone had more than enough people and resources to build a firm base from.

  Danzig

A single Supernova Trinary from the 33rd Combined Strike Cluster easily secured the planet and would remain as the planets garrison.

 Kampen

The 73rd Cobra Guards easily conquered the planet for Clan Cloud Cobra. They would leave their Supernova Trinary to garrison the world.

 Stettin

The 59th Cobra Guards conquered the planet easily and would leave a Supernova Trinary to garrison the world.

 Clan Home Worlds

On Vinton, Khan Barbara Sennet had order the Samarkand class carrier there restored to active service 6 months ago. Now the ship was almost ready to once again sail the stars. Renamed the CDS Deal Breaker. The other 2 warships were so badly damaged by the comet in 3011 that no resources would be wasted on them. Clan Diamond Shark had taken the Clan Smoke Jaguar enclave easily from the small garrison there. But it added a Cluster of Infantry to Clan Diamond Sharks Touman. Khan Sennet had ordered that they be made ready to depart.

On Strana Mechty, Khan Sennet had been notified that Galaxy Commander Stephen Faulk had returned from the Inner Sphere finally and needed to meet with her as soon as possible. Today, they were in her office on Strana Mechty.

"It is good to have you back Stephen Faulk. The mission was completed and all went well?" Khan Sennet asked

"It went much better than we could ever have hoped my Khan. Clan Nova Cat has settled in an area called the Tortuga Dominions. It is a long journey from here. But, they are making great progress. They are already members of the Star League, but did not yet have a vote on the council. In recognition of our mission, they have granted our Clan enclave rights on several of their worlds along with an entire system not far from them. My Khan, this uninhabited system has a large deposit of Harjel in it. A very large deposit according to the scientists that accompanied us." Galaxy Commander Faulk said

"Now that is very interesting Stephen. While you have been away, the chaos in here in the Home Worlds had grown even more hostile and confusing. I have already ordered Gamma Galaxy and Rho Spins to secure the Hanseatic League for us to move to. But this puts Clan Diamond Shark in a difficult position. But, I will need to think on this matter." Khan Sennet said

"My Khan, we should secure this system now. It is the first location outside the Home Worlds that we have found Harjel. It is a long journey, but I am sure the Prince Davion will allow us safe passage thru his nation. That will cut months off our travel time. I volunteer my Galaxy to return and keep this system secure for us to fully develop." Galaxy Commander Stephen Faulk argued

"In time, rest your people Stephen, give me a few days to think this over. It is a complication that I did not expect." Khan Sennet ordered

"Yes my Khan. I will await your orders." Galaxy Commander Faulk said as he left the office

Khan Barbara Sennet leaned back in her chair to think. Now what do I do, yes Clan Diamond Shark would make use of this system given to them by Clan Nova Cat and probably even the enclaves, but could she afford the risk of splitting her Clan that far apart. She had already dispatched, secretly, 3 million of Clan Diamond Sharks lower caste to Antwerp not 3 months behind saKhan Labov's invasion force, escorted by a single Cluster, the 27th Combined Strike Cluster. Could she afford to dispatch another 3 million or so to this uninhabited system near Clan Nova Cat?

Heh... hard luck for the Diamond Shark civilians, but the obvious answer is to leave the Hanseatic League to the Cloud Cobras, and take all of the Diamond Sharks to the Inner Sphere...  ^-^

trade most of the league planets or "stuff" and then stage jump you pop.  first get them out of Clan space to the League then move almost all of them to the new area in small groups.  the CC and DS will need a way to vent some aggression.  that one planet could be a "training area".

 1 March 3064
         Antwerp

Clan Diamond Sharks 27th Combined Strike Cluster and the 3 million lower caste began landing on Antwerp. The 27th Combined Strike relieved the 21st Strike Cluster of their garrison duties as they assumed the role of protector for this planet. Antwerp had a population of roughly 190 million people and even a manufacturing facility for older mechs. It was a much better planet than the harsh planets of the Home Worlds all the lower caste thought to themselves as they began the task of erecting housing for themselves.

  Strana Mechty

Khan Barbara Sennet had made the hard decision. She would dispatch Lambda Spina Galaxy once again to make the long journey to the Inner Sphere and occupy the enclaves gifted by Clan Nova Cat. From there, they could support the colonization of this Cooperland. She had ordered ships to gather Clan Diamond Shark lower caste from across the Home Worlds for the journey. This time, 2 of her Potemkin Transports and 10 Monoliths were going to make the long journey and they would be escorted by the newly operational CDS Deal Breaker, Samarkand Carrier, modified to carry 2 Trinary's of fighters and she was equipped with 60 brand new Ammon fighters. They would be carrying 5 million Clan Diamond Shark lower caste and technical personnel to help colonize Cooperland and the enclaves. She also transferred the 83rd Combined Strike and 44th Cruiser Cluster from Zeta Galaxy to Lambda Spina Galaxy. To quell the outrage of Galaxy Commander Katerina Kalasa, Khan Sennet ordered her remaining Zeta Galaxy, the Agate Skate and 51st Strike Cluster to Antwerp to join her 27th Combined Strike Cluster along with the 1st Infantry Cluster from Vinton.

At least this would keep Antwerp secure. The chaos in the Home Worlds continued to be a constant threat to the security of Clan Diamond Shark and it's holdings. She had directed most of the lower caste be pulled from enclaves considered at high risk.

On Tamaron, Khan Sullivan Koga had directed her Watch to keep a close eye on Clan Cloud Cobra, they were up to something. She had also just gotten a report from Delios that Clan Diamond Shark had pulled some 200,000 lower caste off the planet. This really got Khan Koga's whiskers twitching.

On Lum, Khan Lynn McKenna had been watching Khan Sullivan Koga from afar. She suspected she knew what Clan Diamond Shark was up to. After all, both her Clan Snow Raven and Clan Diamond Shark had made the exact same movements when assisting Clan Nova Cat and Clan Ghost Bear when they left the Home Worlds. Where they were going, she did not know, but she had a feeling it would not be long before Clan Diamond Shark departed. She could not fault Khan Koga, the never ending chaos in the Home Worlds was a threat to everyone.

She herself had made the decision to send a scouting party to the Inner Sphere. Maybe, just maybe they could find a safe refuge.

  Tortuga Prime

Khan Santin West finally had his new commanders, the Trials of Position had been fiercely fought. Several surprised him. Only slots for the new commands were open for competition. Beta Galaxy had gone all Jaguar in the high command slots, but since they had all been taken as Isorla, that did not bother him much. Rho Galaxy on the other hand was hugely prisoners declared Abtakha with a small smattering of Nova Cat warriors in the ranks.

Though he wanted very much to strike at Terra, ROM reported that to do so would incur the wrath of the entire Star League. As string as his forces were, he was sure the could not stand against the Federated Commonwealth and her allies. Currently Archon Prince Victor Steiner Davion was just too popular of a figure right now. And then there was that new Duke, what was his name, ah yes, Duke Scott Mitchell, who not long ago basically threatened to HIS Word of Blake with war. He should watch his mouth, his little world is no longer hidden from view, but mine are.

 Mackolla

George was slowly getting back on his feet after his surgery. He said he felt stronger than he had in years when asked. The Clan Nova Cat doctors had him on a strict rehabilitation schedule though and refused to clear him for full duty until 1 June at the earliest.

For Duke Scott Mitchell, he had other concerns, he had received a fax from New Avalon. It requested him and Khan Santin West to come to New Avalon for consultations of a very serious nature and to report as soon as possible. Luckily, that would not be an issue as the Star League kept a command circuit in place all the way to Mararn since Khan West was a High Council Member and Scott had made sure that he had a command circuit in place to almost every planet in his March for rapid deployments. Mitchell Interstellar's Outer March division had 18 Jumpships in operation, mostly tranfers from MAS shipping. But also some new builds that Boss slipped in every once and awhile between contracts. Scott had authorized Boss to construct 3 250k Shipyards and 3 500k Shipyards and their supporting factories just inside the proximity limit at the Zenith Jump Point for strictly civilian construction purposes.

Glad to see George on his feet again!  That will help Scott tremendously.

And it's a very good thing those command circuits are in place, and I'm not just saying that because I hope that means the meeting will be in the next update...  ^-^

Free Worlds Legionnaires, they are Andurien. Rebuilt from the ashes of the Defenders of Andurien. The entire brigade has been suborned by the Word.

 20 March 3064
       New Avalon

Duke Scott Mitchell and Khan Santin West touched down at the Space Port where Archon Prince Victor Steiner Davion was waiting for them. They had traveled aboard a Mitchell Aerospace built Sassanid Dropship. Mainly because Star Colonel Bill Leroux had informed Scott that from now on, anytime he left Mackolla proper or anytime their threat level was elevated he would have a hand picked security detail made up from among the Elite of the MDF Elementals. A full Star strong of them. No arguments. No discussion. Plus, Khan West traveled with a Elemental security detail. The Sassanid seemed the perfect ship for this trip.

When the all clear was sounded and the ramp lower, an armored hand stopped Scott before he could head down the ramp. Scott could do nothing but glance at Khan West who was trying not to laugh. He glanced at Khan West's detail and almost laughed himself, a full Point of huge Elementals were dressed in the biggest damned 3 piece suits Scott had ever seen. Khan West knew what Scott was thinking and answered without being asked "Khan Carns had them made when he first travelled to Terra. Something about blending in."

Elementals trying to blend in, right. Scott could only think to himself. Finally, Scott's security detail was satisfied that everything was safe and the armored hand was removed. Scott only shook his head slightly as he descended the ramp and started heading to where Prince Victor was standing by his car. Khan West was at his side, and Scott started to hear the heavy steps of Elemental Battle Armor following them, he stopped and turned "Star Commander Trun, until I can get your people outfitted like Khan Wests, I think the Khan's detail will keep us safe."

"As you wish sir, we will remain at the Dropship." Star Commander Trun said

Once the Elementals were returning to the Dropship did Scott turn and resume heading for Prince Victor. As he reached easy speaking distance he clearly heard "Who slapped a detail on you Scott? I know the look, I tried for years to shake my details, only way I could was when I was in an actual battle." Victor said with a sly grin on his face

As Scott shook Victor's hand, he replied "Star Colonel Leroux did it to me. Seems he heard some tall tales about me taking risks and such. Now I have to figure out how to make Elementals blend in, that is NOT going to be easy to do. You were lucky, my detail goes into battle with me, so no luck there."

Khan West took the time to greet Victor "Prince Davion, it is a pleasure to see you again."

"Likewise Khan West, shall we head for Mount Davion? There are a few things we need to discuss and I think I need some advice." Victor said as he gestured to the car he had been leaning against.

An hour later, they were all inside Prince Victor's office. After everyone was seated comfortably, Victor started off with some light talk. "Scott, do me a favor and tell the Boss to not piss off the entire Star League Procurement Bureau. They are bent out of shape that he is basically pre-building ships before they are ordered. Says it throws off their schedule for crew training."

"We are not doing anything different than we did for the AFFC Victor. You know as well as I do that the Boss is no dummy." Scott said

"Yes, well there are still a few ulcers in the AFFC side of things that have not completely healed yet. Which reminds me, the Navy wants to know when you will be able to slip an order in for about 20 Buford II Corvettes, seems the Admirals think we are short on escorts." Victor asked

Scott cracked up laughing for a minute "Funny you ask, that is the exact amount the Boss had scheduled to overbuild on the current SLDF order. I think those would be ready in June. Told you, the Boss is no dummy."

"I will inform the Admirals. You know, they have been getting a good laugh at some of the screaming the SLDF has been doing. I heard Commanding Admiral Beresick asked Morgan how to deal wit the Boss and Mitchell Aerospace, if I am telling it right, the answer he got was, place your order and then look at YOUR estimate on delivery then sit back and wait for them to totally screw up YOUR estimate on delivery by delivering the damned order way ahead of what YOU thought they could do. Don't try to out think the maniac that builds the damned ships, you will go insane, just place your order and shut up. It is all you can do." Victor said

Scott got a good laugh from that "Well, I so happen to have a letter here that Boss wants you to deliver to the High Council and Admiral Beresick. I have read it, you might want your people to polish it some, but it is the truth." Scott said as he pulled it from his jacket pocket and handed it over to Victor.

Victor took the letter and quickly scanned it before folding it back up "Yeah, I think I will have my people grind the rough edges a bit. Not sure how telling Admiral Beresick that in the Boss' opinion he has no clue how to run a damned fighting navy is going to go over."

Scott saw that Khan West was looking a little left out of the conversation "Boss runs my shipyard operations for Mitchell Aerospace and Shipyards from Mackolla. He can be quite a chore sometimes to deal with but damned if he does not get the job done. The letter basically says that the current Star League navy is all teeth and no tail. Means they are not thinking about any logistics. They have a few Yardships but not enough for a 300 ship navy. The AFFC deploys, what is it now, 16-20 Yardships to assist in maintaining the Fleet's on deployments. Each Fleet has at least 4 with them at all times. Plus, he reminds the SLDF that Fleet's need to eat and all of that, he suggests they buy some Carrack Transports to help supply the ships."

"We tried the same thing until the Boss basically told us what we needed. I am sure we do not have enough Carracks ourselves." Victor said

"Well, if I can get my shipyards unclogged with all of these HPG Relay ships, I will gladly build them for you. Delivery of the mobile HPG's is so slow the Boss is prebuilding the ships and will install the HPG's as they arrive from Terra." Scott said

"I think I have an answer to that very problem. I was going to bring it up at the High Council meeting anyway. Clan Nova Cat can easily supply the needed mobile HPG for delivery to Mackolla. We can also provide and assist the BLSA in constructing HPG stations on worlds where they are needed but are closer to us than Terra. Clan Nova Cat needs to build a non military industry base and this would be a good start I think. I had my Merchants look the numbers over and they assure me that Clan Nova Cat can produce and deliver the mobile HPG to Mackolla for at least a 10% savings to the BLSA. Not to mention faster, faster production and faster delivery translates to faster deployment of the Relay ships which translates to faster revenue for the Star League." Khan West stated

"A 10% savings on something that costs a Billion C-Bills is worth a serious thought. Plus it is a good start on getting some civilian industry running for your Clan. It will be a good thing to bring up at the Council Meeting." Victor said "Now, it is time to get down to some serious talk. It seems we have recieved some reports from MIIO agents in the Hanseatic League about a Clan invasion there. Know anything about it Khan West?"

"I do not, I have heard nothing about this. Do we know which Clan?" Khan West said

"It is two Clans, one we have never encountered before, the other we have encountered very recently, Clan Diamond Shark." Victor said

"All Clans have relations with Clan Diamond Sharks, but to operate militarily with them, it would have to be one with very good relations with them. Do we know any more?" Khan West asked

"Not at this time. I was hoping that visit you just had with them would answer the question for me." Victor said

"I am sorry, but nothing was shared with me. I know there is chaos in the Home Worlds, much fighting since the Falcons and Vipers returned. I would assume it got even worse when word reached them about what happened to Clan Smoke Jaguar. We destroyed much of their Touman and they would be ripe for Absorption." Khan West said

"So, what else transpired during their visit with you?" Victor asked

"They delivered just over 2 million of Clan Nova Cat's lower caste from the Home Worlds. In exchange, Clan Nova Cat gifted them rights to enclaves on several of our worlds and gifted them the system Cooperland that Scott gave me information about not far from our territory." Khan West said

A quick look was passed between Victor and Scott, both thinking the same thing....shit, another Clan in that area, might not be a good idea. Victor took a deep breathe before answering "Khan West, please do me a favor and consult with me before inviting another Clan into an area along my borders. Especially one that is currently invading another nation."

"Of course Prince Davion, Clan Nova Cat meant no disrespect to you. I assure you, Clan Diamond Shark will not be a threat to you. Clan Nova Cat is still bound to our mutual defense treaty with the Federated Commonwealth. Should Clan Diamond Shark threaten the Federated Commonwealth in any way, Clan Nova Cat will deal with them." Khan West assured them both

"Your word is good enough for me Khan West. I would just like a heads up on matters like that. I am still working on getting my own people used to the idea of Clan Nova Cat on our doorstep. Now, the second issue is much closer to home for all of us here. We have reliable intelligence that the Free Worlds League Military is heavily compromised by the Word of Blake. They have already lost all contact with 5 Regiments which have basically disappeared.

The most alarming is intelligence thinks most of the FWL Navy is compromised even worse. We know for a fact that the Word of Blake has put a lot of troops into the Taurian Concordat. How much we do not know, but estimates run from 5-8 Divisions with warship support. I am shifting the AFFC 2nd Fleet down and basing them from New Syrtis. The Regiments that conducted operations against Clan Smoke Jaguar are moving into garrison locations on quieter worlds and the units being replaced are moving to the Taurian Border region. At the High Council meeting I also plan to ask for the SLDF to deploy a few Divisions into that region just in case." As Victor had been talking, he had been keeping a careful watch on Scott's reactions.

"I will make the necessary changes to my March's defensive plans. I will also order an increase of naval patrols by the 4th Fleet. I will coordinate my patrols with Khan West. I know what you are thinking Victor, I promised you I would not go looking for a fight with the WoB. These moves are purely defensive on my part." Scott said

"Just keep the lid screwed on Scott. I don't need another Sandoval on my hands. Ever since we booted out the Jaguars, Sandoval has ramped up his "the Combine is coming" shit again. It is one of the reasons I am pulling some of the longest serving Regiments from the Draconis March and replacing them with units that don't have a massive hate for the Combine." Victor said

"I got a lid on it. Promise. But, it is my duty to protect my March, they threaten my people and I will take action against them." Scott promised

"Just think before you act. Everything you do is officially in my name. Now the worst news for you, is the AFFC is issuing deployment orders for your 1st and 3rd MAG RCT's. They are being deployed to the Draconis March for 2 years. But, I promise you, you will get two very good units to replace them for those 2 years. They wanted to use the 2nd MAG, but I figured you would not want to lose Cunnard and Honos at the same time. Now, I am curious, have you built your warship squadron yet?" Victor asked

"One ship is done, one in construction aboard my newly built Salvage Yardship for Mitchell Aerospace and Shipyards." Scott answered

"I thought you said you were keeping only 2 yardships." Victor said, he suspected Scott was up to something

"I did, but I never said I would not build another. It was initially slated to head for the area closer to the Outworlds Alliance to build a 3 shipyard maintence site. But the SLDF orders got in the way of my squadron." Scott said

"So, exactly what ships are going to be in this squadron of yours?" Victor asked, yep I smell a rat.

"Well, you see, you never told me I could not build what I want, just that I was authorized a squadron of warships that would remain under my personal control. So, after much thought, I decided that I would outfit my squadron with 1 Nimitz Carrier, 2 Farragut Battleships and 2 Tarawa LF Transports. You said no more than 5, well that is 5." Scott said as innocently as he could

Yes sir, a big smelly rat Victor thought before speaking "I will remember to be much more detailed in my authorizations next time to you. What ship is finished?"

"UHHH, the MDF Payback, Farragut Battleship. Under construction is the MDF Valois, Nimitz Carrier, then the MDF Tortuga Prime, Farragut Battleship, the MDF Revenge and MDF Vengeance Tarawa II LF Transports. Boss will probably start the Tarawa's next since the yards are already building them." Scott said trying to be as innocent as possible.

Victor could only shake his head, he needed some aspirin, wonder if Morgan has any left in his office.

Khan West had just sat back and listened to the exchange, Prince Davion trusts Duke Mitchell so much he allows him to have his own personal warship squadron. And a very powerful one at that. Finally, he spoke up "I wonder Prince Davion, would it be possible for Mitchell Aerospace to possibly build a few ships for Clan Nova Cat some day?"

I need a big assed bottle of aspirin Victor thought before answering "Some day Khan West, let's get Clan Nova Cat some money in the bank first. Plus the SLDF will soon be selling off some it's older warships, maybe Clan Nova Cat could buy a couple of those."

"Victor, Clan Nova Cat can have any ship they want, I will build it for them. Me and Khan West can work out a fair trade for them." Scott replied quickly

"How about we get people used to just having Clan Nova Cat out there and so close before they find out we are building them warships? Please, for me, both of you, give me some time to think this over." Victor asked

"Don't take too long Victor, Boss finds out, he is liable to build them all on his own for Clan Nova Cat." Scott said

"Sweet Jesus, let's keep this a secret. Sylvia, call Morgan and have him bring me a damned bottle of aspirin on the double. Both of you get out of here and go get ready for dinner in a couple of hours. I will send a car for you both." Victor said with a smile

       New Avalon

If the holovids could get cameras into this Dropship Bay, it would be the funniest thing ever seen, Scott thought to himself as a swarm of tailors from the same outfit that made clothes for the Royals here on New Avalon measured and remeasured 50 enormous Elementals for 5 suits and 5 sets of casual clothes for each one of them. I have been around Victor and Katherine long enough to easily spot their security details, but these Elementals will be the same as having a lance of Mechs following you around all the time. NO way can they blend into a crowd unless that crowd was another bunch of Elementals.

Even funnier was the almost timid looks on all the Elementals, except the 5 from Khan West's detail that had already been thru this before, as they were manhandled by the tailors to turn this way or that, hold arms up, etc. The female Elementals were getting 5 pants suits, 5 dresses and 5 sets of casual clothes each, there were 16 of them between his and Khan West's details. That had been Katherine's idea, she had arrived on planet yesterday and made the suggestion since Scott was going to be dragged to this years Christmas festivities after missing last years, even though she agreed he had a good excuse. I have got to get me a vid camera for when the "ladies" try on the dresses and learn to walk in any sort of heels. Scott thought with a huge smile that suddenly turned to a frown, better make it a very covert camera, get caught filming something they are already uncomfortable with and I might get broken in half.

The click of heels on the Dropship ramp caused him to turn, there was Katherine Steiner Davion in all of her splendor marching up the ramp. Before Scott could greet her, she said "So how is it going? Oh my, this is going to take some serious doing. MISTER TUMBLEY, can I have a word with you?"

The head tailor came at a fast pace the moment he heard Katherine's voice. "You Highness, how may I be of service to you?"

"Mister Tumbley, I need you to contact Miss Pierce and get her over here as quick as you can. Tell her it is a special project for me, she will drop everything. These ladies are going to need some serious work to get them presentable. Inform Miss Pierce that her shop will have to be on call for special occasions to assist these ladies but at least she will have an idea on what to expect." Katherine said as she headed for the large group of female Elementals without an ounce of detectable fear in her. Her security detail though, were doing some fast calculations mentally on how fast a Mech Company could get here if something wrong went down.

Reaching the female Elementals, Katherine said "Please line up for me if you would, single file. Thank you." She waved the first female Elemental to come to her "Come here dear, my you are a pretty woman, I think she needs to be dressed in shades of blue" as Katherine held up several cloth samples next to the Elemental's skin "Yes, most definitely shades of blue. It will make your eyes just light up a room. Your name dear?"

"Ann. My name is Ann. I would prefer to be in my Suit." Ann said, and every female Elemental nodded that they agreed with Ann.

"Right now you do, trust me Ann, by the time I am done with you, I promise you will start to hate that clunky suit of armor. Ann, you and all the other females will have to let your hair grow out much more, no more crew cuts. Your skin is naturally beautiful so you will not need very much makeup." Katherine said

From a distance, Scott could hear what was being said and could not believe it, it was going to take a hell of a lot of work to make these females into proper ladies. Beside him, Khan West said "Scott, we need to leave, right now, I might start laughing at any second and I do not want to get assassinated by my own female security detail."

Scott had to agree, he was having trouble holding it back himself. "Your right, let us go find some trouble to get into or something, we will take Katherine's security detail."

"Sir, we are to remain with Her Highness at all times." Katherines chief security agent said gruffly

"Katherine is safe guys and besides, do you guys really want to be in here when those laughs and grins you are all fighting finally come out?" Scott asked

Shit no, this is killing me trying to remain stone faced, Katherine's chief of security thought to himself "You are right Duke Mitchell, her Highness is quite safe in here, where would you like to go?"

"Anywhere but here, let's get gone." Scott said and turned to head down the ramp then stopped, there was Archon Prince Victor Steiner Davion striding up the ramp "Where are you two off to? I thought I would come over and make sure everything was in hand."

"Away from here for safety Victor, go see for yourself, we will wait here." Scott said, as Victor headed into the huge bay. Scott could clearly hear a sharp intake of breath from Victor who quickly spun on his heels "Your right, we should be far away from here, let Katherine handle this."

Cathy Mayweather watched the former Clan Wolf Aerospace Pilot perform his pre-flight checks on the very first Visigoth Omni Fighter to be manufactured and ready for a test flight. A quick glance over her shoulder and she could see a former Clan Nova Cat Aerospace Pilot performing her pre-flight check on the first Tyre produced. She already had miners working on a new cavern to be used for Omni Fighter production lines. The Clan Nova Cat scientists had been a god send in helping her crack the "code" on reverse engineering these Omni Fighters. She had been assured that each line would be able to build 5 per month at full speed, so Cathy had decided to build 3 lines for each Omni Fighter. That would give them a capacity for 180 per year for each type of Omni Fighter.

She already had the production lines being fabricated with a set of 2 of each line being loaded onboard a Dropship for transport to Tortuga Prime and Clan Nova Cat.

 25 March 3064
      New Avalon

Mr. Humbley must have had a army of people at his command because he and his tailors had returned today for the Elementals fittings of their new outfits. Four large panel vans had pulled up to the base of the Sassanid's ramp and techs had run power lines to them. Inside the panel vans were 6 sewing machines and sewers awaiting any alterations that needed to be done.

Once again, Scott and Khan West watched the Elementals be manhandled by the tailors as they were ordered to take a suit or casual outfit and put them on. Every now and then a suit or outfit was taken from a Elemental and run out to a panel van, changes made and the outfit brought back inside for another try. So far, none of the female Elemental's had tried on any of the dresses hanging on large racks that had been wheeled inside. When Katherine Steiner Davion entered the Sassanid's large bay, Scott knew why without asking as he watched her slowly walk down the racks looking the dresses over.

Scott had to admit, Mr. Humbley knew his stuff, because as he watched Elemental after Elemental try on his or her outfit, he could see that though the Elementals were way larger than any other normal person, the suits and outfits were immaculately tailored and they looked really sharp in their new outfits. When the dresses started getting handed out, Scott glanced at Khan West and said "The moment of truth has arrived Khan West, do we stay and risk our very lives or do we make a fast getaway?"

"I think we should....." Khan West started to say, but his words trailed off as Ann emerged wearing one of the dresses. Scott turned his head when Khan West went speechless and there stood Ann, in a shimmering ad very beautiful dress. It had been cut in such a way, that you had no trouble telling Ann was a woman, a very large, very muscular woman. Scott also was struck speechless, Ann was beautiful in the dress. Of course, Ann was not in heels or anything, because Scott could clearly see Ann's combat boots on under the dress as several dress makers or tailors moved and shifted the dress around Ann's feet.

When Ann asked Katherine "Where will I put my weapon", Scott knew they needed to vacate the area quickly. Because Katherine got a look on her face that was hilarious to behold. She called over Mr. Humbley and Miss Pierce and a quick huddle was made, after several minutes, Miss Pierce left for an hour and returned with 4 large boxes. When the boxes were opened and actual purses began being laid out on tables set up, the sight of female Elementals in dresses, now having different purses matched to the outfits and then those purses compared to each Elementals side arm, well, it was too much for Scott and Khan West. The first small giggle emerged from Scott's throat and he quickly said "I am out of here before I get killed."

"Yes, I am right behind you Scott, let us depart this area quickly, they have weapons in their immediate reach, much too dangerous to be here any longer." Khan West agreed as he quickly stood.

As both started to exit the bay, they were both halted by Katherine Steiner Davion's "FREEZE, both of you. Where do you think you two are going?"

Like a couple of kids caught red handed doing something they should not have, Scott and Khan West slowly turned to face Katherine. "Uh, well, you see Katherine, we uh need to go see Victor about a few issues. We, uh, well it is getting close to the time, uh, close to us being late for our, uh meeting." Scott stuttered in reply

"Uh huh, well Victor can wait. Because you two are next, Khan West, you go with Mr. Humbley here and get measured for a couple of suits. Those Clan dress uniforms only go so far, time to get you in some modern clothes." Katherine ordered

"It is the proper Attire for a Clan Nova Cat Khan and warrior." Khan West protested

"Which you can wear when amongst other Clan Khans and such, but you need proper attire for when your attending non Clan functions, WHICH YOU WILL. So get a move on and get going." Then she turned to Scott "You too, get the lead out and get down there and get yourself fitted. I know you already have some outfits and suits, but you need more, better outfits. Your a Duke now, you have to look the part."

When neither moved fast enough, Katherine barked at them again "I said move, the both of you. Or I will have Ann and a few of her friends literally carry the both of you over there."

"Yes Katherine" was all either Scott and Khan West could say as they marched towards the fitting area like a couple of kids heading for the principals office.

Four hours later, Victor entered the Sassanid's bay. The sight inside caused him to come to a sudden halt, for inside were 50 extremely well dressed Elementals, men and women he saw, standing around watching both Scott and Khan West being examined by Katherine. Both had the look of a couple of kids that had been well and truly paddled for their misbehavior. The laugh that left Victor's mouth caused every head to turn toward him, he could not help it, he could not stop it if he wanted to, which he did not. Victor laughed so hard and so long that tears were brought to his eyes at the sight of Scott and Khan West standing there getting groomed and ordered around by Katherine.

Victor could not stop, he finally sank into a chair and wondered if a person could laugh themselves to death. When Katherine reached Victor followed by Scott and Khan West, both looking like they had been beaten into complete submission, Victor started laughing even harder. After several minutes under Katherine's gaze and Scott and Khan Wests looks of daggers, Victor slowly got some control "Oh God, I really needed a good laugh, it has been too long since I had something this good to laugh at. You both look very nice in those outfits, it reminded me of when Mother would drag me clothes shopping. Always hated it."

Katherine softened her glare at her brother "Yes you did, had the exact same expression these two have been wearing the last few hours. Like a couple of puppies that have gotten paddled for doing something wrong." When she started giggling, it began spreading around the bay, even the usually humorless Elementals could not help themselves from smiling or even snickering along with the Royals and their wards.

Regaining some control Victor asked "Are they done? There are a few things I need to discuss with them, you can come along too Katherine."

"Yes, we are finished here, Not sure we need a security detail this large though." Katherine said

"We don't, but what the hell, they are all dressed up with no place to go. I will whistle up a few more vehicles and we will have OUR security detail head over to Grushmoon Steak House and we will all have a good dinner. We can discuss what we need to in a less formal environment." Victor said

"Now that is a fine idea, I have not been to Grushmoon in a long time. We can use the room mom and dad always took over in the back, all the security folks can occupy the main floor outside." Katherine said

Thirty minutes later, the huge entourage descended upon Grushmoon Steak House that had been cleared of guests as they finished their meals. The owner, Kristine Grushmoon, welcomed the Royals and then watched the huge Elementals enter. Wow, this is going to be a HUGE tab, was all she could think as she watched her staff seat the huge people and Royals in the back alcove.

Once seated Victor and his party were seated in the alcove, he called his chief of security over "Paul, make the rounds and try to explain to all of the Elementals how to order and that I am paying for this meal, I bet this is the first time most of them have even been to anything besides a mess facility."

When Paul left, Victor started again "A large raid hit Ward in the Capellan Confederation. No word yet on who it was, but they chewed up the defending 4th Confederation Reserve Cavalry pretty good. I spoke to Kai, and he agrees, AFFC troops is not the answer, and since we have that little issue of Clan Wolf in Exile not having their own nation to contend with, Kai is calling Khan Kell. He is, with Candace Liao's blessing, going to ask him to being some of his Wolf's down there and find the raiders home base. If the raiders are based in the Chaos Zone, which happen to be Capellan claimed worlds, to a large extent, he is going to offer whatever world the raiders are based out of as payment to the Wolf in Exile.

The CCAF are stretched pretty thin right now, with everything we know about the FWLM being compromised and such. We can move at least a Galaxy of WiE troops to that area via command circuit in about 2 months time. But they will lack their own transports and warships. That will take a good 6-7 months." Victor opened his briefcase and extarcted a portable computer which he fired up "But, right here on Carmichael are 2 Clusters of your Clan Nova Cat troops, with 3 Monolith, 4 Odyssey Jumpships and I believe the NCS Chronicle and NCS Principle, Aegis Cruisers. Those ships can be at Ward in 50 days if we give the order now. So Khan West, will Clan Nova Cat assist Clan WiE in this little venture?" Victor asked

Khan West thought it over a few minutes. "It will leave both of my Clusters stranded and without warship support. If the AFFC will provide my forces temporary shipping and support until my ships are released by Khan Kell's ships, then yes Clan Nova Cat will help."

"You will have all the assitance you need Khan West. Plus, I have AFFC garrison's on the way to relieve your forces along the border there. The AFFC thanks Clan Nova Cat for assisting us in securing that section of border for us for so long. As our way of payment, I am authorizing Scott to construct some ships for Clan Nova Cat, if you desire them still. Don't get too crazy on my Khan West, I do not expect Scott to build them for free either. I will let you two work out the payment terms. Let's keep this initial order to no more than another Naval Star, so 5 ships." Victor said

"Clan Nova Cat still desires new ships. I think me and Scott can work out something that benefits us both." Khan West said

"Good. Katherine, you got any thoughts on this matter? Can you see any fallout from Clan WiE possibly moving into that area?" Victor asked

"Not really. If Khan Kell agee's that is. It would mean uprooting his Clan again. What if the raiders are not based in the Chaos Zone, but somewhere else? Now that could be a tricky situation." Katherine said

"If the raiders are based from some other world, we will cross that road when we get to it. Now let's order and enjoy dinner." Victor said

 27 March 3064
        Arc-Royal

Khan Phelan Kell had received the message from Kai Allard Liao, acting as Regent of the Capellan Confederation, asking for Clan Wolf in Exile's help in finding and destroying the raiders that hit Ward so hard. In exchange, Kai promised, that if the world was in the Chaos Zone, a former Capellan Confederation world, the Capellan Confederation would cede that world to Clan Wolf in Exile.

"What do you think father?" Phelan asked Morgan Kell

"Well, it would solve the issue of Clan Wolf in Exile not being a nation unto themselves. That is the main stumbling block in the High Council, right now they, not Victor and friends, but others, view Clan Wolf in Exile as wards of a state. It is a long ways from here, but at least it would give your Clan a new lease on life. A place to truly call your own." Morgan Kell said

"So you think it is a good idea?" Phelan asked

"I can see the potential in the deal. If you get your own world or worlds, you will have to toe the line carefully. You will then be playing with the big boys if your admitted to the Star League. Plus it gets you out from under the AFFC's thumb, which I know grates on your nerves. I still say your lucky Victor did not spank your ass for pulling that stunt with Duke Mitchell in the Outer March." Morgan said

"I have no idea what you are talking about Father." Khan Kell said

"You know exactly what I am talking about. Your sent that gifted Cluster packed to the gills with the most ardent Crusader trouble makers from your Touman. I am not blind nor dumb Phelan, you saw a chance to pawn your problems off on someone else and took it. You have heard, same as me, how Clan Nova Cat gifted Duke Mitchell 2 Clusters of his warriors. Not his dregs or trouble makers, but some of his best. The gifted troops to the Star League were some of Clan Nova Cats best warriors. Instead of letting the Star League deal with assimilating hundreds of former Jaguar warriors, which we know would be a huge problem, Clan Nova Cat stepped up and took on the problem for the Star League.

You need to pull your head out of your ass Phelan. You want the best for your people, I get that, I really do, but to get ahead, you need friends, lot's of them. We, you and me, cannot keep your forces equipped with Omni Mechs, yet Clan Nova Cat has made friends in a big way of the only person and entity in the Inner Sphere, outside of the Clans themselves that can manufacture Clan Omni Mechs. From what I hear, Can Nova Cat has no trouble keeping their Touman equipped with Clan Omni Mechs. Why, because they made best friends with Duke Mitchell. They made sure he gets the very best, not their castoffs. Maybe that is why Duke Mitchell has never, not once sent you any presents or even offers. Even Jaime Wolf went and made nice with the Mitchell's as quick as he could, now the Dragoon's have no problems keeping their warships in top shape. You want your Clan to survive on it's own 2 feet, you better learn how to play the game.

I have watched you plan out how to get enough Omni Mechs, always thru Trials of Possessions. Which carries the risk of losing, always. Yes, you can produce new Omni's but lack of the needed material hampers production and keeps it low. Yet, Duke Mitchell's factory seems to have no problems producing all they need, you saw the last report, same as me. One of the Clusters gifted used 2nd line Mechs, yet within a month of being in Duke Mitchell's fiefdom, they were fully outfitted with Omni Mechs. I would bet a ton of C-Bills that Clan Nova Cat would be able to outfit their Garrison Clusters to Omni Mechs if they wanted by just asking Duke Mitchell nicely. Get it thru your head Phelan, your wanting to play in a whole new league, literally. You better learn to make nice with those that can further your cause." Morgan Kell lectured

"I will think about what you said Father. I must leave now and make ready, I will send Beta Galaxy to assist the Capellan Confederation." Khan Phelan Kell said, in his mind though, his fathers words echoed in his head, had he truly miscalculated so badly?

  Repulse

Colonel Davis Csencsics, commander of the 2nd Sirian Lancers had just returned from his units smashing of the 4th Confederation Reserve Cavalry on Ward. He had made sure all of his units equipment wore the colors of the 1st Legio of the Marian Hegemony. He knew the 1st Sirian Lancers currently wore the colors of the 2nd Legio. They had been ordered to begin false flag operations against the Capellan Confederation. He really wanted to false flag Clan Nova Cat, but no had the needed Clan Omni Mechs for that to work. So he had chosen the Marian Hegemony, their getting the boot from the Star League had been icing on the cake for false flag operations.

Marian units? Who is going to believe that the Marians would venture that far for a raid, when there are plenty of Canopian and League worlds between Hegemony space the CapCon. Better false flags woud have been nation that actually border the CapCon like the Moc, Taurians or FedSuns.

Interestingly, the report of Marian colors didn't seem to make it to Kai, or at least not Phelan.

The rest of the post was also very amusing!  That was a nice diversion, and gave Victor a good break.

I am just wondering how Phelan will feel when he finds out the Nova Cats are getting 5 warships made for them.
Phelan may change his whole attitude.

 1 April 3064
           Sian

Kai Allard Liao was reading the intelligence report forwarded from Ward. Even as he read the report, he found it hard to believe. It just made no sense, it had to be a false flag operation, but by who. The report in no way made any sense or came to any conclusion. The high points of the report were:

 1) 17 Battlemechs, 15 Vehicles were destroyed and left behind by the attackers. All of the destroyed Mechs and Vehicles were painted in the colors of the I Legio of the Marian Hegemony. But inconsistent with that were several Mechs not in service with the Marian Hegemony, but of Marik manufacture. 1 recovered Neuro Helmet bore markings of Marik manufacture.

 2) Intel places the I Legio on Alphard, capitol of the Marion Hegemony. Alphard is over 500LY from Ward. Even news reports and video from 15 February 3064 placed I Legio on Alphard. Closest Marian unit is V Legio currently traveling back to Marian Hegemony and located at Verlo in the Federated Commonwealth. Also in same convoy as V Legio is 1st and 2nd Taurian Lancers. Checking with AFFC, confirms V Legio and both Taurian Lancers still at Verlo.

 3) Without command circuit ability, which was terminated by the Star League upon Marian Hegemony removal, travel estimates are 6 months each way by direct route. Direct route is not feasible due to normal dislike and distrust between Marian Hegemony and Magistracy of Canopus and Free Worlds League. Permission to transit either nation by Marian Armed Forces unlikely.

 4) 4th Confederation Reserve Cavalry reports attacking unit was not configured in any fashion like known Marian Hegemony units. Unit used normal standard unit dispositions and formations.

 5) Possible false flag operation by unknown parties.

The report basically told Kai that his intel department had no clue who attacked Ward but that it was not the Marian Hegemony. All he could do was await Clan WiE arrival and forward the report to Victor on New Avalon.

 Verlo

Prefect Josef Vasicek, commander of the V Legio, had watched the news reports of the attack on Ward. Video from the attack showed Mechs not in service, that he knew of anyway, with the I Legio. Something was not right, I Legio was always stationed on Alphard, it was rarely deployed off world. When news that the Marian Hegemony had been removed from the Star League, the morale of the V Legio had plummeted. Not quite as far as when they had learned about the death of Caesar Sean O'Reilly, but pretty low. His unit had gotten beat up pretty bad, but had been brought back up to strength, equipment wise by the Star League.

Of the 41 Mechs his unit had lost, they had been replaced with brand new top of the line machines. In addition, his unit now had 20 Clan 2nd Line Mechs and 20 former Clan Smoke Jaguar techs to assist in maintaining the Clan Mechs. His vehicle losses had also been made good with 27 brand new vehicles.

Rumors were that Julius O'Reilly had killed his own father to take control of the Marian Hegemony. This rumor had instilled some backbone in his troops, now they were angry. He had even heard a rumor that most did not want to return to the Marian Hegemony, not unless they were returning to remove Julius O'Reilly from power.  Prefect Josef Vasicek really did not know what to do right now.

Duke Scott Mitchell and Khan Santin West were enjoying their final meal together before Khan West departed to his own ship to return to Tortuga Prime. Discussions during dinner had finally come down to the big question, what ships Khan West would ask for and what could Scott get in return for them. Scott knew that Can Nova Cat could not really afford to pay for warships. Not right now anyway.

"Okay Khan West, it is time you tell me what ships you want built. I am willing to provide the ships to you and will allow Clan Nova Cat to pay them off when you can. But, I have to know what ships you want built." Scott said

"I have been thinking on this very issue myself. If Clan Nova Cat can secure the HPG contract, this will allow us to more rapidly pay off the debt we will have incurred. I would like to hold off on that for now. At least I have Prince Davion's permission to purchase the ships when Clan Nova Cat is ready for them. But, I would like to inquire as to the possibility of getting a few Titan Dropships made. I have a Cluster of Aerospace fighters but not enough transports for them and the fighters in my other Clusters." Khan West said

"I am sure that can be easily arranged Khan West. I suspect you want them exactly like the ones you already have in your Touman?" Scott asked

"Yes, if possible." Khan West said

"I would need one of your Titans so that my head shipbuilder, Boss, can get a good look at it. We have not done a Clan armed version of it. He needs to see what has changed and such." Scott said

"That is easily arranged. What would you want for these dropships?" Khan West asked

"Right now, I have no clue. I would have to get with Boss and find out the cost and such. I warn you though, he has a tendency to build or modify designs to fit what he thinks they need to be and such. It will always be an improvement though." Scott said

"On that, I have no objections. As long as it fills our needs, Clan Nova Cat can live with changes." Khan West said

"Okay, the moment we get one of your Titans, I will let you know. So, what do you really think of the Word of Blake buildup in the Taurian Concordat?" Scott asked

"It will be good to get my Galaxies back from the Federated Suns border. Part of me wants to strike them before they strike us, but I also know that it would cause a huge problem in the High Council if Clan Nova Cat did so without provocation." Khan West said

"I know the feeling, I so want to hit them right now. But I promised Victor that I would not start anything. But, I will tell you this Khan West, the storm is coming and it is coming fast." Scott said

"Clan Nova Cat will be ready to weather the storm alongside the Federated Commonwealth. When the time comes, I suggest we coordinate our actions." Khan West said

"Agreed, if Clan Nova Cat needs us, I will make sure we there beside you all the way to the end. Even if I am denied AFFC approval, I still have my 2 Galaxies of personal troops and will have my own warship squadron I can send to assist Clan Nova Cat." Scott promised

It's good Scott gets along so well with the Nova Cats.  I wouldn't be surprised if the WoB goes for Mackolla before Tortuga Prime though...  ^-^

I like the potential of Prefect Josef Vasicek. Sounds like his next move might be to get in touch as discreetly as possible with someone in the FedCom, maybe get some asylum arranged.

Or something more discreet and long term...  >:D

another civil war in that area would be ugly.  still it would be nice to see a low level maquis or just spies.  now it looks like someone is going to need spy ships

2ndAcr, wondering if Mackolla can build bugeyes for spying or if the NC can get one and give it to Scott.

V legio needs to restore the honor of the MH and return it to the SL.
