LT1 Artillery Vehicle

Basically just a Long Tom moving at 54 km/h. BUT...
Since it uses a good amount of reactive armor it should easily be able to survive two direct hits by Long Tom counter-battery fire.
As for the Fuel Cell engine... a cargo for liquids of 2 tons guarantees that the unit can go for 1111 km more than it usually could. Talk about strategic flexibility paired with cheap production costs :P
And well, 7 tons of ammunition guarantee a good amount of sustained fire.

nice

you can also use the LRM/SRM carrier chassis allowing for less of a parts issue

forward facing and 4 tons aint bad for a cheap alternative

Hm, even though you are not as independent from logistic limitations and that carrier won't even survive a single counter-battery salvo by a thumper.
To be honest, I would rather pick one of the above, than two of the carrier variants, especially since the latter would occupy two heavy vehicle slots on a dropship.

Though for defensive operations on some backwater planet that carrier adaptation might be good choice.

yeah
I was thinking more of a 3025 setup, and being deployed by and RCT
so arty by battalion
12 LT Carriers
12 LRM Carriers
12 spotter Vtols
12 ammo trucks
plus whatever infantry or tanks may be in the line nearby

even if you are deviating a bit, you start dropping 12 LT shells in an area
something will get hurt
