Just to toss this out there, I've seen some suggestion that driving traffic to the MUL database helps bring traffic to BattleCorps or, rather, the BattleShop.  Since that could help sales, it may be a good idea to link over there from articles the way I'm shifting mine to do.

Thoughts?

Sounds like a good idea in general, although it will help to get the rest of the faction availability updated for the homeworlds clans

It will, as will getting the availability for other eras up.  I figure the MUL team's working on it and the Homeworlds data may be being held until the release of the War of Reaving sourcebook.

Would anyone be interested in my updating my old piece on the Marauder IIC? There have been a number of variants released since the old version and I'd enjoy doing it. No worries if not.

the best way to do it would be to do a bunch of availability listings with one before and one after each the major wars/conflicts. So set one before the Jihad/WoR, one for after those, one for prior to the Black Out (Dark Age), etc. This way a player could build a force for any of the battles during those big conflicts, or if that player wanted to play one of the in-between battles during the "peacetime" the player would know what new designs were available and which designs that faction lost access to.

If you're interested in doing it go for it.

Since I have a few articles sitting around right now (products of my muse while trying to get the Colossus article written), I would like to request the next open slot for the Great Turtle. And then, maybe two weeks later the Copperhead. Also have to post the Werewolf, Spatha and the finally finished Colossus. And once my research material arrives in the mail, I'll get to work on the No-Dachi.

I'll take the Omen and the Mad Cat Mk. II (an updated for the original and including the Enhanced version). I've got both of them part-way done so you can put me on the schedule for the future.

EDIT: Mat Cat Mk. II (and Enhanced) article is done. I'll let you know when the Omen is ready as well.

I didn't realize you wanted to go on the schedule, sorry.  It doesn't need to be done if you're sure it'll be done.  Goodness knows mine aren't done when they go on there.

You want, say, the 26th, two weeks after the Mad Cat Mk. II is up?

Yeah that sounds good. And if you're worried about the TRO:P moratorium for the Mad Cat Mk. II Enhanced, I can post it late a day on the 13th or you can switch the two slots.

I didn't even think about it.  If you're fine with doing it a day late (or just redacting that part of the article until then), I'm not worried.

EDIT: So people know, what I'm waiting for on the Thunderbolt and Orion articles are the primitive variants I suspect we're going to see soonish.  Amusingly, my suspicion that the ON1-C would turn out to be a primitive 'Mech based on the description in TRO3025 may be about to be vindicated.

I'll just hold it back a day, since I've got that one done already and it'll give me more time to work on the Omen.

A strange request, Moonsword: could you move your Bane article back to September 16th? That way you could fold in the XTRO: Clans version from the get-go. [notworthy]

And more constructively, I'd like to re-request the Yao Lien. :)

I'd been considering it but I don't really have anything else to slot in right there unless one of the authors wants to volunteer.  I might take a stab at the Yao Lien, though.  Give me a while to think it all over.

Where is the bane currently?  I can probably FINALLY have the Mangonel done by that point.

Guess I'll request the next open slot for the Spatha. And two weeks later for the Colossus. Since they need to be posted sooner or later...

(Reason for two weeks is to allow for other possibly more popular machines to be featured.)

My view on popularity for the articles is this: If they're popular enough to be featured, they're popular enough to be requested or covered by an author on their own initiative; the opposite is also true.  Besides, for me, part of the joy of this is seeing 'Mechs that aren't big names getting some attention.  It introduces them to a broader audience and gets people talking.

EDIT: Forgotten I'd noted that up above.

Just a head's up for everyone. This week's MotW is gonna be a day late (posted on Saturday) so it will meet the moratorium for TRO:Prototypes. It's got the Mad Cat Mk. II and the new Enhanced version from TRO:P.

Post 'em when they're done would be my view.  I'm concerned about scheduling the new articles (or major updates, such as my plans to sooner or later completely rewrite the Owens article), not the reposts.
Did you ever get around to that rewrite? i did a quick search and didn't find anything.  A pity since it would interest me.
