Nondi-class Executive Transport
« on: 05 May 2020, 11:42:04 »
Newly debutted in my AU and built using the WarShip Calculator from the Forum

Nondi-class Executive Transport

The newest product of Lockheed/CBM of Tharkad the Nondi-class Executive Transport was built to cater to those private citizens who had enough credits buy the ultimate form of protection.  The ship is little more than luxury space liner built along the lines of a WarShip.  With the sleek lines of a WarShip without the boxy weapon emplacements the ship looks almost like a shark in space when viewed externally.

Built around Lockheed/CBM's patented Sub-compact K-F Drive (the same one used in the Isis-class Scout Carrier) the twenty-five thousand ton vessel is capable of a maximum of 4G accleration and is protected by forty tons of Lamellor Ferro Armour.  While technically a WarShip the vessel carries no Capital Grade Weapons or defences.  The class does have several weapons systems for self defence against aerospace fighters and DropShips including Long Range Missiles, Gauss Rifles, Extended Range Particle Cannons and Extended Range Medium Lasers.  Twenty-eight Anti-Missile System surround the ship providing missile defence.  The ship is capable of transporting fifty passengers in first and second class quarters in its primary configuration however Lockheed/CMB are willing to customize the internal passenger quarters layout to cater to their customers.  Two small gravity decks provide some comfort for their passengers when the main engines are not engaged.  Two small craft bays provide customers with transport to a planetary surface these are typically LC-100 Astrolux StarYachts on Lyran space while customers in other nations use other ships.  Finally a mix of fourteen escape pods and lifeboats provide the crew and passengers a method of escape should the worst come to the ship.

First launched in 3118 the first customers were from the Lyran Commonwealth while there were orders from customers in other states ranging from the Capellan Confederation to Magistracy of Canopus.

For when an Explorer class JumpShip carrying your Astrolux yacht isn't ostentatious enough.

Neat writeup and design, always enjoy seeing more subcompact KF ships.

According to the attachment, the Aft LRM-20 is not hooked up to Artemis IV, but you are buying Artemis-IV LRM ammo.  Is that correct?

For the rest of the attachment, it would be formatting tweaks.  If a number has nothing after the decimal, remove the zeroes after the decimal.  Also, pages 2 & 3 (plus the bottom 22 lines on page 1) might not be needed.

Nice spreadsheet though, I'll bet it made designing the vessel much easier.

It should have artemis I must have selected the wrong option

I didn't create it it's on this forum for use.  As it uses Google forms/excell I have to assume the additional 00 are due to the various formulas involved

Yup I thought what could be more than having a JumpShip of your own then it fell into place this company in my AU have made two other classes for the military so it made sense to go the private route.

I like the Sub Compact tech it's got a place for interesting designs
