I prefer to ask this in chats, but yeah.
Where are rules for mental illness from this system? Or the fact that pilots get certain problems in their character or even burn out is primarily a consequence and the system itself is not so harmful for our players? Or is it a flaw? I just thought of using it sometimes, but the crazy character is not my gimmick. I just saw what ProtoMech pilots get, but the system itself does not seem to give penalties. Or am I inattentive?

The main rulebook has it. In the equipment section its the "Implanting/Installing and Maintaining Elective Implants" The last paragraph before the "Drugs and Poisons" heading.

There are a couple mental-related Traits than can forms of mental illness, or you can use the general Compulsion Trait.
