10mm-scale buildings?
« on: 17 June 2022, 15:58:03 »
Does anyone know where I can find small pieces of sci-fi terrain in 10mm scale? I've tried looking, but most of it is far too big. I'm not looking for apartment buildings or other large structures to populate a gaming table, just some scenery for a little diorama I want to make using a couple MWDA tanks.

Ideally I'd go for stuff that looks damaged, and is clearly sci-fi in nature not stuff that you'd see in the modern world.

Nowadays, shipping won't be all that fabulous, but the products themselves are:

https://www.brigademodels.co.uk/10mmSF/index.html

Most of Brigade's lines are available stateside (https://scalecreep.com/index.php?cPath=35&ceid=be02256d7b6d4ef21076096a126e424a), but not the 10mm line--and the selection is hit or miss. But Scale Creep is good company to do business with regardless.

Thought I might get a rocket ride when I was a child.          We are the wild youth,                                And through villages of ether
But it was a lie, that I told myself                                          Chasing visions of our futures.                   Oh, my crucifixion comes
When I needed something good.                                         One day we'll reveal the truth,                    Will you sing my hallelujah?
At 17, I had a better dream; now I'm 33, and it isn't me.      That one will die before he gets there.       Will you tell me when it's done?
But I'd think of something better if I could

Thanks for the links, but while I was thinking about this I had a flash of inspiration and now my new plan requires a stone wall of a type suitable for the boundaries of a wealthy estate, with a hole of the kind you'd expect to come from a 95-ton Kool-Aid tank.

I know I'm a little late, but TT Combat has some pretty good 10mm stuff. https://ttcombat.com/collections/sci-fi-x
Blaine Lee Pardoe did nothing wrong.

Yes, so long as one or the other doesn't have much "human scale" stuff like doors. Natural things (trees, hills) are easy; walls are usually OK. Buildings depend on the architecture.

The original Ral Partha infantry were 8mm tall.  Current infantry has scale creeped to 10mm and beyond, and the mechs are creeping mightily now too.  It's the 6mm buildings that are tiny these days!

True, and things being on bases throws it off as well because everything looks taller. (Want a reason to base your tanks? That's another -- so your infantry doesn't look so tall in comparison.)
