I saw this question regarding CASE in mixed tech units (
https://bg.battletech.com/forums/index.php?topic=82213.0) and it made me curious about the impact of automatic CASE on refits.
1. Since adding CASE to a location that did not have it is a Class D refit, wouldn't any clan internal structure tech base unit automatically require a Class D refit to mount ammunition or gauss weapons that trigger the automatic addition of CASE?
2. In the case of a refit, can CASE be left in place even without ammo or explosive equipment to "cause" its install? If no, what is the appropriate class of refit to remove CASE?
