For the overview?  It depends on whether you want to slide into the traditional Mech of the Week release on Friday or if you want to just go ahead and post.

So, the Uraeus MotW is ready for a rainy day. Not exactly something I want to put down this week, even if the slot's open.

We actually have an article for the Uraeus already.

Gyrfalcon by Hellbie but it seems there's a delay.
I think marauder may have something as a back-up in case Hellbie can't post Gyrfalcon?

(from my phone)

If someone has an article, go for it. My desktop (where the article is located) has a dead monitor, so I can't get to the file until I can see where it is again. Sorry guys- frustrating as hell, but nothing to be done about it.

How dare you be unable to spend your valuable time providing free entertainment to the rest of us.

(Seriously, JadeHellbie, you should never feel THAT badly about this sort of thing.  You do a lot for the BTech community in general.)
I'm not sure how long you've been around on the forums, though you have a thousand posts. Never take anything JKlantern says seriously unless it's about food.

Getz,

Any chance you could do a companion piece to the Falconer, on its contemporary, the Penetrator? Unlike the Falconer, the Penetrator got a lot more mods, but their base versions are comparable/contrastable.

Thanks guys. (Ironically, the planned 'stand in' article, the Apollo, is sitting on standby for just such a situation, on a flash drive I keep on my keychain... and I can't get to it because I still can't see what's on it without a working screen! Irony!)

I'll bump back the Gyrfalcon to April and the Commando to May. I'll also be doing an update to the schedule post later this week when I get a chance so we can get things ready for April. Part of the problem has been that the work contract I'm on doesn't give me a computer to use- combined with a two hour commute on each end, time hasn't been on my side for this. I'm setting aside time late in the week to get some work done on the schedule here and other forum projects though, so we'll be caught up on that at least.

Ah, adulthood... I just want to make a ****** couch fort, drink Capri Suns and watch some old Batman episodes.

Can you trade adulthood for adultery?

I think I have an older monitor sitting around if you need one in my storage room.  I'd just have to hook it up to see if it still works.  Because of scheduling, the next available time I would have to meet up to drop it would be next weekend or next Tuesday.

I'll claim the Jinggau. And i'll get around starting to write soon... promise. (I'll write a lot once i start...)

That said, i thought i claimed the Snake but eh, whatever. Not claiming it after all, i guess, though it would be a good companion for the Vindicator...

Does the article have words, or is it just a gif of a toilet flushing?

It's got words, over 1,100 of them. It's even got some good uses for the Storm Raider.

I look forward to seeing it then.

Because I'll admit, after "target practice," and "selling it to someone you expect to be fighting in the near future," I'm out of ideas on what to do with it.

I know another use for the Storm Raider, a physical example of how not to build a Mech.  And I too look forwards to the article and its words, some of which may be kind :P

If we don't have an article for this week, I'll get mine posted- if someone else is already set, I'm happy to wait further. (Monitor problem was resolved- cord went bad, borrowing one overnight from IT at work confirmed it, picked up a new one and back to full function)

I just wanted to let everyone know that I've started on the FWLM-Age of War article, and expanded it a bit.  Instead of talking about just the Icarus and Hector, I decided I'd cover all four of the FWLM Primitives in there, including the Trooper and Longbow.  No ETA as yet, however.
