A few months ago I was jibbering about the Falcon's dress uniform and the cape on it, I had an idea in my head and put it towards a very talented artist friend of mine and she's drawn (and will colour) this.

The big change to the dress uniform was with the cape, when talking with my friend we both agreed that the Cape was a bit too 70's/80's Manga villan esque so the main changes were done there. Note that a lot of this is conjecture as there was never afaik a back view of a Falcon in his or her dress uniform.
The cape seemed to be permanently attached at the back, following the shoulder line and was presumably sewn into the uniform with the claws acting as clasps even if they were decorative as they didn't hold anything with the cape being part of the outfit. In this we moved the cape so it was a more formal (and imposing) looking over the shoulder and full length one. The claws now act as the clasps they were seemingly meant to be, whilst the 'beak' acts as the neck clasp and to remove it the beak splits down the middle (with an invisible seam). With the cloak being removable the dress uniform's also a damn sight more practical, because if you take the cape off its then just a rather brightly coloured but smart uniform that would work outside of official situations too.
What do you folks think, any and all honest thoughs are most welcome, negative or positive.

She is :D She tends to do comicbook characters/super-heros and fantasy stuff and does not know much if anything about the B-tech universe apart from when i've geeked out with her. And I'd say she's hit the nail on the head for the outfit :)

A Warrior of Clan Jade Falcon, Victor Malthus has a well deserved reputation for brutality in battle and off the field. Due to his large size, behind his back some say he has some Elemental blood in him, and some even mutter he is descended from Clan Smoke Jaguar stock due to his aggression, and this slur he will always meet with a Trial of Refusal. Despite his brutality he can be quite honourable and is utterly loyal to Khan Marthe Pryde and the Star Captain and his customized Jade Hawk the 'Sabretooth' are both attached to the Golden Keshik. Here, the Captain is attending a briefing whilst wearing his formal dress uniform.

Drawn by the lovely https://jinsonlygurl.deviantart.com/ this was her first ever character from the Battletech universe and its a universe we knew little about. The original Falcon field dress looked a bit too 70's Anime villan esque with the cape going into the shoulders so we thought to change in. Now the cape goes over the shoulders and is held on by the 'beak' neckguard and the 'claws' at the shoulders. The beak splits down the middle and the cape can be removed to leave you with a workable outfit to wear.

Too bad she not available to do comic book series with Malthus in it. I'd kickstart that. ;D
