Bloodhound is there to deal with the highly annoying BAs that will be dropping everything to headhunt this thing and murderize it's crew.
ECM was put in so that it's C3 link doesn't go down unless someone's rich enough to bring in an Angel grade suite.
This also means that more then likely, two other Behemoth IIs are linked to a command variant (remove the Slave, infantry, and Bloodhound to install the C3 Master) along with this one. And one of them is going to TAG you.

Infantry was nothing more then me not wanting to mess with the actual armaments loadout (it's effectively a 1:1 swap out, although it does lose two LRM tubes), and since they're already slow as slugs, might as well give them integral infantry support. I mean the things are, for all intents and purposes, moving pillboxes. As a bonus, I threw in a minor upgrade to the armor, raising it a half ton and changing to LFF. LFF, simply to keep costs down, no more. If I want munchy, I'd have gone straight for HFF (or shanked a Sea Fox merchant and looted his Ferro-Lamellor stocks).

The single heat sink for the fuel cell is used as a cooler for the crew's wet bar. I did said it's a mobile pillbox after all.
I love my Wiesel XII. Yes, yes I do.

FCEs are fairly light, so why not a bigger engine? ^-^

I stopped at advanced - experimental tech is really a bit excessive for a mobile pillbox like this! And I skipped C3 since it doesn't really have enough long-range power for it to be very valuable (but if you absolutely want it, just drop some LMGs and/or MMLs). But I did add a TC for the RACs. >:D

Because then it's not a Behemoth upgrade, but something entirely different.
Original 3039ish Behemoth was 2x AC/10s, 4x LRM5s, 2x SRM6s, 4x SRM2s, 4x Mguns. And you -had- to use a 2/3 engine, in order to get that payload + the armor required (13 tons).
I simply matched as closely as possible it's original loadout with a more modern one that had virtually the same range, better accuracy, and hit a lot harder.

That's not to say your design is bad - it's not btw, as that's definitely more of a 'mobile pillbox' then my idea and I'll be stealing it for use against some friends later - just that it's not what I'm looking for in this, specific, design.

I have to point out that you're missing the turret missiles if you want to match the original... And on my design, the only thing really missing is the side-mounted SRMs, its forward missile power is actually pretty close to the original.
