I gotta say, I'm looking forward to this series.  My brother and I have always loved the Charger (I think his joke version of the Charger is the one Mech design I posted to the forums), the Thug is pretty much his favorite Mech of all time, and I love the concept of the Hatamoto series ("Hey, if we slap that Mech's weapons in THIS Mech's shell, we don't have to pay royalties!").
I'm not sure how long you've been around on the forums, though you have a thousand posts. Never take anything JKlantern says seriously unless it's about food.

Look, dude, when you are a real mechwarrior you don't need to get all dressed up in cooling suits and cool helmets to work on your mech. You just strip down to your 1980s panties and crop top vest and start wrenchin' it.

It might be a little bit before I can write it up, but I'll take the Mortis. Looks to be fairly distinct from existing designs, and it doesn't have a jillion variants.

Is it possible to request fan articles for:  RS: Unique Mechs & RS: Unique Fighters?

Is it possible to request fan articles for:  RS: Unique Mechs & RS: Unique Fighters?

Unique variants are often covered with the base-mech, unless it is released post-article or some authors just don't bother or don't know them.

Of course, it seems most of those unique 'mechs either don't have a base article or are not included.
The Assassin has an article but doesn't cover Alice.
The (Grand) Dragon article covers Douglas.
The Excalibur covers Cernunnos.
The Horus is discussed in the Bandersnatch article but not covered per se, it seems.
The Nerran is mentioned in the Emperor discussion but not covered.

Others lack an article.

Not saying the request is unreasonable or anything, indeed not making any comment on this beside noting which ones are covered or discussed (or not).

If I may make a few requests, I would like to see some articles about the Valkyrie and Centurion. Both are older mechs but classics of the Fed suns

Reposting this.

Its a great article :) If folks don't have an article ready for next week I can throw the Swordsman at the board, its a dinky lil article.  And if you want I can take the Valkyrie onboard to bash out her report.

I might have something done for next Friday, if that's okay? I need to start writing essays (ugh) for school so i need practice writing.

Not sure which of my reservations i'll do (Sling, Hauptmann, Sha Yu), will only know that once i start writing, see which one inspire me most. I know them all but, ah, deciding which one to write about isn't really a matter of mere knowledge.

Might be good for someone to have something ready just in case i won't make it though.

Doesn't work like that for me. Art just inspires me to make comments about it more so than anything else. (I know how i'll caption the Hauptmann picture...)
Will decide as i review all the material... right after i move them from my laptop to this PC.

Currently leaning toward the Sha Yu, as Anubis was just written about and my previous article was the Raven.
