Title: Terran Hegemony worlds follow-up question (for Oystein)
Post by: VoltAmpere on 23 March 2012, 05:51:09
Hi Oystein,

relative to BrokenMnemonic's question from bg.battletech.com/forums/index.php/topic,16157.msg370344.html (http://bg.battletech.com/forums/index.php/topic,16157.msg370344.html)

is the entire TH border in the HB:HS founding map in error? and can we follow the borders in HB:HL founding for the 2341 borders? Or does the error only apply to the FWL worlds that BM mentioned, plus Wasat (obscured by the Legend pane)?

thanks!

The error in the Handbook: Steiner map is that it showns Mizar and Galatea as Terran Hegemony worlds, when they should be Steiner worlds. Nothing else.

The full correct border is shown on both the two-pager maps in Historical: Reunification War and Historical: Liberation of Terra I.

With regards,
Øystein

ok copy, so in 2341 Mizar and Galatea are part of LC's Federation of Skye, and that Bordon, Chertan, Connaught, Van Diemen IV, Wasat & Wyatt are all TH worlds at that time. Does that also mean the LC 2571 map is just as wrong?

Related to that... the 2366 CC Founding map looks totally different from the 2596 2765 and [corrected] 2341 TH borders, does that also make the HB:CC 2366 map wrong, and should follow the 2596 TH border?

No, 2341 LC is correct, 2571 LC is the incorrect one (by two worlds)

Also, as I indicated in the thread you quote, the 2366 border is correct, as is the 2341 one. It is just an untold story how those worlds changed hands.

Øystein

ah ok, so 2341 and 2366 are as-is. 2571 needs to shift borders by two systems.

thanks!

EDIT: Checked RWR 2571 from HB:MPS, looks like the borders there are identical to HB:HS 2571. Guess that means RWR 2571 is also in error, and should appear like 2596, 2765 & BH:HM 2571.
