A group of my friends and I went to Gen Con this year. One of them loves to paint minis and is really talented, but she is not into the giant robots. While looking through the Ironwind booth I asked her if she would be willing to paint some mechs for me. She told me that she didn't she could do a mech right, because she liked painting magical creatures more. I proceeded to grab a Balius and showed it to her. "What about a horse mech?" I asked. After looking at it, she responded by saying "If I paint this, it is going to look a my little pony toy." I responded, "Hell yeah, this is a universe where a guy painted a mech totally pink just cause his mech was called a panther and he wanted to make a Pink Panther reference. Somewhere there has to be a Brony fan out there piloting a battlemech." I put the Balius back on the shelf and we all had a good laugh. This morning I get a package in the mail from her, I laughed so hard I almost dropped it.
All I can say now is watch out for the legendary clan Mechwarrior "Glitter Bomb"!!!!!!!
