Wack's Unmentionables
« on: 05 February 2011, 13:25:21 »
Here are a few of my small quantity of unseen. They do not see play but they get a place of honor on my shelf. I don't want to discuss how many times I have re-painted the MAD over the years.

Enjoy!

Marauder

Valkyrie

Crusader

Phoenix Hawk (Kurita variant, no JJ)

man, for stuff that never gets played they look pretty good. is the Val plastech? and if so, did you have to drill out the LRM tubes? my old one had no detail.

I think the Valkyrie is metal (or maybe some other plastic version I don't know of). The Plastech Valkyrie has a static squatting pose and no distinguishable left hand. That said, I really wish I had a metal Valkyrie (and one that looked as good as Wack's). My Plastech one is only passable.

It's metal.

The old VLK was the first BT Mini I ever owned. I still like the design. My best day with the old VLK was a big free-for all level 1 game with about 15 players each with a light mech of their choice on the old river delta mapsheets. The combination of range, mobility and armor protection gave me the edge, and my 'mech was the last one standing save for an AC20 Urbie that had run out of ammo.

I was really hoping to see some of your early work before you got good. But alas they're all good.

Did you just come out of the womb painting mechs?

Really nice chop job on the P-hawk.The original pose is SOOOOO static. I'm doing one for Fatestoy for norwescon in light of mankind scheme.I hate the old static pose of it and the LAM. Great job on all but that P-hawk takes the cake for style.

Col. Hengist no Jump Jets. Could that be an old Battledroid Firebee instead? I agree that it is very nice though [drool]. Wackrabbit  you always post such great Mech Paint jobs. resee the Unseen!

Nope this came out of the blister, and someone traded me long ago for the jump packs. Since the K variant has none, I chose to make it a Kurita unit. Note the small laser peeking through the CT...
