I think it would make the most sense for the MASH to accompany the APC to the JaegerMech and Rifleman, dump off the two Flight Deck Crew at MIKE FIVE, and then high tail it to the critical casualty.  It'll probably make the most sense to load the casualty (and first responders), then rendezvous with the Vulcan at MIKE ONE (the installed Paramedic gear can at least get a transfusion going to mitigate the blood loss; halting at MIKE ONE means the MASH can park, raise the roof, and set up the surgical suite at that point).  The Doc (the one calling the shots here) can assume his senior NCOs (and the embarked infantry Platoon Commander) are giving that exact advice.

Don't forget the Vulcan arrives at MIKE ONE one full minute before the Flea (and company) arrive.  A sufficiently defensive position may deter attack completely...  ^-^

I for one listen to experienced soldiers and would follow that guidance in this case as it does make sense given our load of personnel.

Here's the updated 1315 map, though it doesn't show much change (the hexes are 18 km across).

At the moment (1630), everything is in the same hex as Pod 1 except for the Major's Marauder.  Let me know how big of a security detail you want around the MASH while surgery is going on (figure at least 6 more hours).  The rest of the unit is going to recover the Major's Maruader, and set up camp near the crash site.

Oh, and I'll need a 2d6 roll for the surgery...  ::)

Doc Ozora wisely spent a point of EDG on the surgery roll.  The original roll of 5 would have inflicted a permanent injury.  The actual result of 10 resulted in "Partial Recovery", but can be corrected later.  The nature of the injury gave a -2 penalty, and the patient's overall condition inflicted a further -4.  I gave the Doc a +1 for using a fully stocked MASH (though one use of a Field Surgery Kit has been consumed).  The Doc's TN was 5.  When the patient is in better shape (after a few weeks), surgery can be attempted again, without the -4 for patient condition (the -2 for the nature of the injury will remain).  Broken ribs suck!

Yes they do
Wrap them and make the best of it

OK, I'm getting this moving again.  Captain Skinner has promoted himself to Major, and Lieutenant Harris to Captain (and command of the 'mech company... er, short company).  Escape Pod #3 has been heard from, and said they were at their original landing site, but not alone.  The Warrant requested a truck and the Major (not knowing the Major he meant died yesterday).

Harris is going to be inclined to take the Fire Lance plus the Mirage and APC (with the AR++ armed platoon and a medic embarked) for an escort.  Any other ideas Tinyozora?

I think that should be enough to possible rescue pod 3

Not seeing any reason to think that force isn't enough.  Hunchie has the hands to carry the pod.  Seems legit enough to me.  Mirage gives em some pursuit speed if needed.

It's been a while, but here's who's aboard that fleeing jeep:

LCDR Marion Fury, former XO of FWLDS Eagle's Claw
LCDR Fury's daughter, Athena (NOT Fatima) Fury
Two former FWL Aerospace Pilots (male), who have spent the last decade toiling in the fields of Al-Mazrea
Aliyah Ar-Rabigh, recent (female) abductee from Ar-Rabigh
Wolf Skinners Tech, Sergeant Angela Johansen

Plus a bunch of farming tools, and even a bag of seeds.  That's all on top of the stolen Assualt Rifles and body armor.

So what you are saying is that a well loaded Jeep.  Beside Johansen how many of the others are good with AR??  and I bet no one used to wearing body armor.

Fury has her Sunbeam Laser Pistol too.  She got it back from the Emir just before she killed him with it (he didn't know it could take the micro power packs her daughter's new toy used, and after she killed the door guard, she grabbed the full size power packs hanging outside her quarters)...   >:D

I figure the former FWL military personnel have at least passing familiarity with Auto-Rfiles.  It's a "Small Arm" after all...  :)

You're right on the body armor piece, but that didn't stop the occupants from stripping the flak vests from the guards on their way out.  Velcro can be loosened pretty quickly...   ^-^

I figure the inbound jeep (and chasing hostiles) are making something over 100kph.  Rendezvous will be around 0900, with the hostiles arriiving a few minutes after that.

I've changed all the infantry weapons to be Sunrakers from Shrapnel #9.  Since the infantry nerf and that issue of the magazine, it's really a better deal all around, and totally something Anton would have bought for his forces.  Sunrakers beat canon Blazer Rifles in every way.

The forces pursuing LCDR Fury and company from Al Mazrea:

Hermes
Flea-16
8 Jeeps (5 tons, 9/14, 1 ton of cargo... just like what LCDR Fury is driving)
2 Platoons of Foot Infantry (1 squad per jeep, armed with Auto Rifles)

I'll be working up the engagement over the next week, and hope to have something postable by next weekend.  :)

So how much of a lead are they keeping?
I figure the locals know the area better so should be if they were to push it, they should be closing.  And those Mechs armed with ML 1 hit would be bad

those 2 pilots yep might understand the AR, but it been decade plus since they had any range time, and I'm sure they be treated just nice and gentle by their masters.

Congrads Sergeant Johansen, get a vest on and lock and load because until you find friends your the best defense.

I figure it took the locals at least 20 minutes to get pursuit organized (the patrols were patrolling, after all).  Over the course of two hours, they cut Fury's lead to 5-10 minutes.  This is why I had a question posted up in the rules forum.  Turns out there is no published rule on how long it takes to become hidden...  ^-^

I'm actually surprised at that. Not even the RPG rules? Mostly cause there is a difference between concealed and hidden in terms of fiction, but I guess if the rules dont support it... *shrug*

The funny thing is engineers can create a "fortified" hex in three 10-second turns (that's in TacOps under specialized infantry).
