91st Argyllshire Highlanders
"Ne Obliviscaris"
"Do Not Forget"
Uses a patch on their left shoulder of the 91st Argyllshire Highlander's tartan, fatigues are a blue urban. Mechs are typically painted a navy blue with the patch of the tartan on the left breast or right hip of each machine. Camo is sometimes used if the employer so desires.
Major Sean Campbell, formerly a captain of Sterling's Fusiliers, is raising a new mercenary command. Named the 91st Argyllshire Highlanders, after his ancestral regiment, the unit is prepared to take on any serious contract offers for a force with a strength of two companies. The MRBC rates this unit as a C/Questionable, due to its formation still being under three years. The 91st Argyllshire Highlanders provide their own intersystem transportation, a Fortress class dropship. The 91st Argyllshire Highlanders are based off of Northwind, distantly associated with the regular (and more recognized) Northwind Highlander regiments.
The 91st Highlanders have completed two previous contracts with total employer satisfaction. The first contract undertaken by major Campbell's unit involved hunting pirates. In a narrow victory, the Highlanders managed to defeat and isolate the pirate hideout. Pirates were turned over to ComStar jurisdiction.
The 91st Highlanders second contract involved a raid against a moderately defended corporate base. In a previous act of a 'hostile takeover', the client’s security force was overwhelmed and the property seized. The Highlanders were hired to rescue trapped personnel and allow the evacuation of expensive equipment from the facility.
The 91st Argyllshire Highlanders had been hired by the Federated Commonwealth to deploy to Arboris in the Chaos March to help train that world's militia (Cadre mission) for the company's 3rd contract. This is part of a public relations drive on the part of Duke George Hasek to convince that world to rejoin the Federated Commonwealth and the Capellan March. Duration of this contract is for one year with extension possible.
4th Contract was to a undisclosed employer- Capture Dropships from factory Success, they also managed to steal a Mule for themselves, subsequently it was customized to fit the Highlanders needs. Some salvage did occur, a shot up Witworth which is being refit into a WTH-1H when time allows. The unit expanded hiring another pilot & aerofighter, a tank crew with their Brutus, and a mechwarrior for the newly purchased WTH-1H.
