the original version with that amazing whammy piece on the front and some unseen art on the inside was pulled. i think it only was released digitally in that form. the printed version with the hammerhands box set piece had safe unseens like the battlemaster on the interior. unsure how big the run on that one was but i don't think it was pulled from distribution at any point.

I believe the original digital version preceded the kerfuffle over license issues, and the final print version was altered to avoid problems. The available digital version was also updated to match.

I don't think the print version had any problems after that, aside from selling out.

yeah, there was a premature announcement about the unseen being back in the middle of all of that and we were having a great time until HG did its thing.

Other way round on the covers, the Hammerhands cover was always for 25 years of art and fiction, and the Warhammer cover was planned for the box set, to tie in with the short story in the box about the Black Widow Company.  When CGL were made aware of the sealed judgement from the HG/FASA case, the Warhammer cover was pulled and they substituted the Hammerhands one.

Could be, thought it was 2016 as I didn;t go to GenCon in2017, but I did go in 2016 and I got my Shirt then. I think 2017 was a Liao Themed Shirt.

Can confirm it was 2016, as I have it. Then 2017 was something else (don't have that one), 2018 was sun zhang mech warrior academy I think.

Any new sheets that folks who have older RS pdfs won't have?

Updated logos on the sheets, otherwise, no. From the product description:

Quote
"Note: This is a compilation volume. The entries in this PDF are reprinted--albeit with the current BattleTech logo--from Record Sheets: 3039 Unabridged, Record Sheets: 3050 Upgrade Unabridged-Clan & Star League, Record Sheets: 3058 Unabridged, and Record Sheets: 3075 Unabridged. Players who own those Record Sheets will find the same units presented in Record Sheets: Succession Wars."

Even aside from that Flea, this product is a good first Record Sheet book for people who are starting with the Beginner and AGoAC boxes. I hope there's a prominent note in there saying that every mech marked Introductory is 100% compatible with the rules in the AGoAC box, and only Total War or BattleMech Manual are needed to play the rest.
