Historical: Reunification War - the 3rd Regulan Hussars
« on: 26 January 2012, 06:49:06 »
The unit entry for the Third Regulan Hussars on page 38 of Historical: Reunification War states that the 3rd Hussars felt slighted by the Captain-General for not being selected to take part in the assault on Canopus, and that the resulting tensions erupted during the campaign for Candiear, where Colonel Shah and Westy McDowell locked in a war of words over the performance of their respective units.

This is the only mention of Colonel Shah or Westy McDowell anywhere in Historical: Reunification War; I was wondering if it could be confirmed which units the two officers represented?

The FWLM contingent on Candiear consisted of the 4th Marik Militia, the 3rd Regulan Hussars and the 2nd Oriente Hussars, and the context infers that one officer was from the 3rd Hussars and the other the 4th Marik Militia, given that the Militia are obviously connected to the Marik family,  but it isn't clear.

It's more interesting than optimal, and therefore better. O0 - Weirdo

Colonel Westbrooke “Westy” McDowell commanded the Second Oriente Hussars while Colonel Anupan Shah commanded the Third Regulan Hussars.
