Next Steps is an advanced demo aimed at the player who's played Bootcamp or several games on their own. It teaches play with multiple units on more complex terrain.

Experienced players: Bring 6k BV, 2-5 mechs. Intro/Standard tech only.

The specific force requirements and limitations also help set appropriate expectations for the gameplay experience?

No Faction/Tech/Era limitations?

You can bring an Intro-IS 3025 mech & a Clan 3075 Mech in the same force?

What is the playstyle format & game area?

1v1 on 1-4 maps?
Team v Team on Felt?

That bit for experienced players was meant to be pretty loose, just a force limit so people didn't have to make things up at the store. My time was spent focusing on new-ish players who'd been through Battletech Bootcamp.
