Hello, everyone. 

I created the Armsman for one propose, for the use of hand held weapons, and to maximize their use.

The 3.5 Ton weapon Pods are meant as a ready weapon, for when the Armsman has little time to heat up before getting a heavier weapon load.

The 7 ton weapon pods are intended for when the Armsman has time to prep for battle.  Either carrying the weapon on an external sling and then equipping on rout.  Or by heating up just before leaving the mech bay.

One question though....  A hatchet with a SRM-6 & ammo all in one??????   ???


Maybe (if possible) a chemical laser or two? 
If at first you don't succeed, make it worth the repairman's time!

Good point.  How about an LRM5 and TAG instead of the SRM6?

I was picturing, fluff wise, an axe head with recessed missile ports in the wedge of the blade.  Bury axe, pull trigger.

Lasers may be better than the missiles for that.  But in game play, there is no option for that.  So, unfortunately, not a viable option.  Personally, if it were, I'd look at M-Pods instead of missiles.  They are designed for point blank engagements...anti-mech as well.  For now, I'd suggest keeping the axe and other weapons separated for gameplay.....makes things a LOT easier.  Nice thoughts though!

I was thinking something along the lines of a 17th century German Gun axe myself.
