Speaking of last Sunday's game, Anthony, since we never finished the last turn, what was the outcome of the battle?  I feel like Euron's Marauder only received a stay of execution based on the amount of fire Ogre was about to hit me with.

Dave.

You were safe. The Wolverine and Alacorn were the lucky ones. Will post what happened soon

ah, the theatrical version. It was the studio's "idea" for the monologue,  and not the director's.

"Strange." Thinking to myself as  I realized two VTOLs/STOLs were landing simultaneously on the hospital trauma pads.

With a bow of respect toward the nurses and those of other medical professions at the duty station. I continued on my

way through my rounds and checks. Grateful for my retirement from active service and job as watch supervisor at Hilo's

major hospital. Passing the elevators on my way to the stairwell, both portals opening seconds apart with a non invasive

chime. Muscle memory turning me automatically towards the nonviolent threat not realizing I had already drawn my

nightstick up to block the readied strike from the assault rifle butt stock of the closest elevator  dressed in sleeveless

urban camo jumpsuit occupant. "FRAK! TOADS! 911! NOW!" Recognizing the camo pattern and patch affiliation from my

time on Turtle Bay. Managing to successfully block the attack and riposte with a successful  and satisfying crunching

strike to the rib cage of the unarmored elemental before being physically overwhelmed by the mass of human flesh that were the other four occupants of the elevator and the being knocked unconscious.

What happened during the game after the last game at Grimm?  Also, when is the next one?
Shadhawk, could you also ask Grimm to order the other box set for me?

And another question to clarify things:  The children who were sent to Hilo from the Musashi estate.  Are they at the hospital at the time it's getting taken over?

Thanks-

Why would the children be sent to the hospital and not a more secure location?

I actually don't know if there's a more secure location in Hilo...  Also, they could have gone there because hospitals are someplace that Grandmother's people would think of as safe.

Just asking Anthony so I know...

there is a bunker under the hospital, but it is not the one the children and noncombatants from the Mushashi estate were escorted to with their guards, they were taken to an NPO bunker in Hilo

Heard over Government Mercenary Force private channel:
"This is the Hands of the Goddess to any mercenary command serving under the Governor.  There are rumors of a hostage situation at a hospital in Hilo, but no information is forthcoming.  All commands please check in."

This is Master Sergeant Saltcliffe at Camp Haken.  Roger your report.  We are closest to Hilo City, however, our forces are spread quite thin at the moment.  Aside from the Hollander and Striker crews we took from Caesar (who we don't fully trust), we have very few available forces left here.  As it stands, we only have my Zhukov, a Po and Delta Goblin Platoon.  We only just received our new Grand Dragon and have no pilot for it yet.  As it stands we can't respond and protect our base at the same time.

Copy that, Master Sargent.  Right now, we're just trying to get information on the unfolding situation and re-establish contact with the rest of the unit.  Everyone else is uncharacteristically quiet.  We were on the verge of calling the Governor and reporting everyone else MIA.

No shit. I tell you, I was there, right there on the corner when that Goblin tank floated, mother****ing FLOATED around the corner, just like in those retro vids. Mother**** drifted, of the hospital. The coolest most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Of course by that time the toads that had been guarding the front doors of the hospital behind the barricade they made of parked vehicles had hopped on top of those two hover tankss, while the two VTOLs on the roof lifted off under the cover of two choppers that came  in with those two tanks. Police and security forces were everywhere, but the mercs that the governor so "righteously" hired were either late to the party or nowhere to be seen. Mercenaries, bah!
Strangest thing though was when after everything calmed down, the bandits were long gone, police, mercs, security, everyone. Five of the statues in the park that can be seen from the children's wing of the hospital, walked away following the same path as the bandits in a wedge formation.

Hilo TV3 News
“This is chopper 3 live above Hilo General and we have reports of gunman in the Hospital.”
The camera pans the area of the hospital. You can see police and local security personal setting up a perimeter around the hospital.
“From what we know the gunman are still in side. What they want is unknown at this time. Police and security personal are closing off the area and getting people to a safe area.”
You can the police and security personal escorting people to an area were vehicles are loading them up to get them to a safe place.

“This is TV3 van on the ground at Hilo General were we have reports of gunman in the Hospital. As you can see security and local police are moving people out of the hospital and getting them to vehicles to move them to shelter.”
The camera shows security and police helping people in to vehicles.

“Live at Hilo General Hospital we at TV3 have word that the gunman inside are working down to the ground floor.”

“This is chopper 3 over Hilo General and we have military vehicles moving to the hospital main entrance. I do not recognize and of them.”

“Hilo ATC to all aircraft in the area of Hilo General Hospital you are to exit that airspace.”

“Chopper 3 live at Hilo General and we just have been told by Hilo ATC to clear the area.”
“Hay guys look to port!”
As the camera swings to the other side of the chopper you can see 4 aircraft moving above the ground vehicles heading to the main entrance of the hospital.

“TV3 van on the ground at Hilo General and we have been told to move from the main entrance of the hospital. We can see what looks to be a unit of 6 military vehicles moving our way. They have air cover of 4 VTOLs. Can any of you guys ID any of them?”
“What the ….. look out somethings in moving in the art display. What are those things … I have not seen anything like them before.”

The convoy of vehicles moves in fast to the main entrance of the hospital. A group of large men with large boxes move to the vehicles and start loading the boxes into the vehicles. More large men pushing gurneys with more boxes on them move to the vehicles and load the boxes into vehicles. Last out are some type of armored infantry that grab hold of a pair of the vehicles. The two groups of large men move into the vehicles they just loaded with the boxes. The vehicles head off.

Among the art display by the hospital extra-large power armor moves into a guarding formation around the vehicles as the large men load the boxes they have in to them. As the vehicles move out the extra-large power moves behind they to ward off anyone following the convoy.

Above the main entrance of the hospital the 4 VTOLs take up a holding pattern over the convoy. When the convoy moves out they form up to provide cover for the convoy.

“Hilo PD to all civilians, please clear this area as we have a major security problem.”
“Please clear all streets in the area.”

Sentinel News Update
In what has been described as a brazen raid at Hilo General Hospital we have word that unknown persons took medical supplies and hurt many of the Hospitals security staff. The personal involved in the raid were large and some of the staff described them as sumo. They entered the Hospital from the roof and worked to the ground floor. They took an unknown number and type of medical supplies and equipment. With Hilo still recovering from the explosion a few months ago this is just an extra trial for the people of Hilo.

Dakuu-orianyusu
In one more showing of the Governor not dealing with the security issues here on Nejiro raiders once more take what is ours. Hilo General Hospital was the objective of a group of raiders with military grade equipment. She stated seven months ago that the Mercenary forces she hired are to protect our world. Well what happened to them when Hilo was once more the subject of a bandit raid? Why did not these “protectors” of our beloved world not show up?
So far these “Protectors” have with heavy handed tactics put down a group of workers looking for better working conditions.
They have caused damage to the City of Hilo on a bunch of occasions.
They have fired on civilian convoys.
They have fired on the ComGuard forces stationed here that protect the HPG.

She uses these “Protectors” to deal with a local bike gang. Why could not the local security forces deal with this problem?

When they do engage a raiding party they just chase off the bandits.

Now she has they in locations all over our planet not just at the old fortress were they were too be stationed. WHY?

Shin no wadopuresu
People of Nejiro we have many problems.
We all know of the Pirate raids that plague us.
We know of the Jaguars that want to take our world.
Our government has done somethings to protect our world but has it been all they can do?
They have added to the planetary militia.
They hired mercenary troops.
But is this for the people or them?

They have added new jobs.
They have allowed more people to settle here.
But once more is this for the people or them?

Sentinel News Update
From all reports the raid on Hilo General was a clan bandit cast raid. The camo pattern on the equipment was that of Clan Smoke Jaguar. Just why they would raid a hospital is the question. We also have reports of other bandit forces in the eastern desert. We have not confirmed them at this time but will keep you informed.

The Dakuu-orianyusu
Now the Governor is telling that the raiders were Smoke Jaguars. This is the clan that the second Star League destroyed. Just how would these Yurei of a dead clan come to our world? They told us that clan warriors had taken over the old fortress outside of Hilo. This is why she had mercenaries come to our world. She is in charge of these sell swords, she keeps telling these stories of Clan raiders. But if you look at these “Protectors” of hers they are the ones with the Clan Equipment. They are the ones with the Clan personal. These “Protectors” also seem to be growing in numbers. How has our little system come to need so many sell sword ‘Mech Warriors, when for centuries we did so well at protecting our world.

Shin no wadopuresu
People of Nejiro you need to open your eyes.
Things that have been happening for the last few months are happening for a reason.
You have outsiders looking to take what you have worked so hard for.
Some say they are here to keep you safe.
Others say that you government is not doing what it should.
Some of your leaders are looking out for your world.
They have to do so with care as others would stop them.
People of Nejiro you must open your eyes.
