I personally feel so inadequate and inferior, I'm suffering from battletech force inferiority  :D

Arkad Harib will provide support with "Rikki T. Tavvi"(mongoose), "Spectre"(Spector),  "D. Beck"(Warrior, srm loaded with infernos), "Martin" (Cyrano),  "Andromeda" (Pegasus), and "Bucky" with "Blackhawk 5"(Blizzard w/ Lrm, I.S. BA/flamer)

medical update: after recovering from their TDS ourbreak " Marshall Tito"(partisan) will be joining the emergency alert force.

I expect to bring my Hussar, Piranha, Alacorn, Cavalry with BA, Pegasus, and Maxim Alpha.

who is the pilot of the Piranha?
the Pegasus you did not get, you got the Buffalo and Hover Bikes. Funds were low at the time.

The governor gave me the MRM Pegasus many games ago.  It has seen action with the Saladin crew.  Bobbi is the Piranha pilot.

OK on the pilot thing. I do not have any notes that you were given a Pegasus. I know when you were looking to buy it and as I said before were short on funds. I still show it in the inventory of Metal Storm.

It's discussed on the first page of this thread.  It's also mentioned on the 55th page of the last thread as part of the force to oppose Caesar.

OK I see it was put in to mission 38. I do not recall giving it to you. Your crew for that mission were techs.

You will get to keep it. I will not take-away a unit used on a mission. You will have to keep the tech as its crew or hire a new one if you want better skill numbers or place it as a back up unit.

The mission after that, I put the Saladin crew in.  You said that works because they were roughly the same weight and motive type.  Also, I requested months ago to recruit vehicle crews and mechwarriors from Mercnet.  This was before the Outreach catastrophy.  You didn't tell me that this wasn't acted on.
If I can't recruit through there, can I recruit vehicle crews on planet?

With all the young men or women out to prove themselves on this planet, I've got to be able to put together a crew or two for vehicles.

with your Saladin crew in the Pegasus the Saladin is not crewed at this time or you would have to put techs in it. Me ... having the crew that knows the 8 / 12 AC/20 over tech works better. Having said big stick looking over my base with it normal crew vs techs .... well.

As for the MercNet thing .... the Dice have not spoken  ^-^

Yes looking for vehicle crews and infantry on world works well.

pulling said people from felons not a good idea.
1) said people are few on this world.
2) they also tend to run more hardcore were trust would be problem.

I'll keep the tech crew in the Pegasus.  I will also recruit locally to get a replacement crew for the Pegasus, another crew for a Saracen that I plan to purchase from local producers, a spare vtol crew, and a trainee mechwarrior, with the governor's personnel assisting with the background check.  I'll do without the felons.  I'd like to roll for that as soon as possible.

How long can the WOB keep a contingent of this size on this world with things heating up in the Inner Sphere and the need to conquer and hold worlds much more valuable and conveniently located than this one?

Depends on the size of the WoB contingent.  So far we haven't seen as many Wobbies as we have Black Dragons.  And there's definitely some question as to why both are here in the first place...

No one knows how many units WoB has. They list around 30 divisions front line and then you have the Militia forces.

OH ya do not forget about all the Mercs they have also.

Then when things get real fun you get 10 M.D. divisions added in.

So for as the how long they can stay bit. Depends on how well you guys do your job. If they win a lot then they will be around for some time. If you win a lot then not so much.

This world has many things that WoB would want. Location in one of them.

Forces that have been linked to WoB about 4 level II size units that includes the Merc company that got an escort.

Both are on world for the same reasons. They just don't know they have the same reasons  >:D

What Ogremage has said in code is that he has information that the Wobbies are luring us into a trap.  He is referencing the Mon Calamari Admiral Ackbar who is most famously known for uttering "It's a trap!"

Over heard at the Comstar compound.

demi-Precentor: You have your orders Adept, you  can bitch, gripe, complain, and whine all you want. But your orders will stay as they are. Take your 4 battlemechs, the pike, and the demolisher to assist in the defense. The precentor has ordered forces to assist in the planets defense before. Especially when it comes to noncombatant populations.

Hooah!!!!  finally got my darn password issues fixed and can post again

Since this is a high priority defense mission, gonna bring some of my heavier stuff and the max number of units this time...
6 units as follows:
Schiltron, (the undamaged one) artillery ready to bring the metal rain w/attached BA
Avatar w/attached BA
Partisan (we FINALLY get to do something other than sit around the base waiting for action!)
Owens (the newly fixed one) w/attached BA
Maxim BA w/Longinus
Blizzard w/attached infantry (the undamaged one)

Although Grandmother's actual identity has not been disclosed to my troops as requested at the Governor's briefing, they have been made aware of her importance to the stability of this world and her categorization as a priority target by hostile forces in a unit briefing.  Accordingly, my units have been issued a priority one defense order with the following message attached:

"We are to treat this defense as if our own families or the Governor were the target.  As discussed in the last major briefing, Grandmother being attacked is a direct result of her assisting us in the past and thus abandoning her cover; honor demands we protect her and her people at all costs."

Since we are setting the battlefield for this engagement. is it possible to set hidden units/minefields, pre-register artillery locations or come in from a surprise map edge on this one?

see y'all tomorrow!
-C

p.s. - glad to see we found a way to get you into the games, Ogremage...  just don't shoot me in the back this time  :ugly_stupid:
