You do realise you are comparing your XLE designs with an SFE one, right?

You prefer an XLE mech that emphasises engagement at a distance of... 3 Hexes.

P.S The wolverine is supposed to be tough and survivable.
With an XLE it becomes rather fragile.
I mean, yeah.  The Wolverine 7k has a ton of games under my belt.  They are really hard to kill, regardless of the xl engine.  Part of that is the high tempo.  They dont overheat much, hit accurately, and hit hard.  So, by the time my armor on a 7k's side torso is looking a little thin, I have killed or crippled the enemy.

The version you have is undersinked, and fights like a griffin at range.  If you were trying to skirmish an enemy 7k, both jumping 5 hexes each turn, then the ERPPC at 7 hexes and the Large Pulse at 7 hexes are hitting each other on 10s, so neither side is dealing much damage, and the MML version you have doesnt have the heat to provide LRM support from the MMLs every turn.  But at 3 or less hexes, the 7k is hitting on 8s, has more heat for more missiles and other pulse weapons, while the SFE wolverine here is still looking at 10s to hit.  So the 7k will bully the 10M2 up close, while the 10m2 isnt able to hit accurately at long range to make up for the short ranged damage gap.

Since you get more forward movement then backwards, unless you have IJJS, the 7k should always catch its equal speed target.  At least it has in my games.

Anyway, the whole point of my post was comparing the 7k, a supremely effective short range murder machine, with your 10M2, which loses all the advantages the 7k has over a Griffin.  If this was a wolverine 7M upgrade, OK sure.  But the 7k has a whole thing going where it can bully enemies up close, and the 10M2 lacks that.  If I was the enemy commander, I would much rather see the 10M2 then a 7k... the 10M2 isnt going to backstab and murder me, but the 7k is.

Maybe it never made it to the warehouse?
Oh no, that's not the issue. It's being held back because there's some confusion among kickstarter backers that it's part of the KS. So, better to just wait until after the KS is fulfilled than to argue on the internet.

Just like that, the 'Canes are on the brink.  They've been outplaying the Rags in just about every category except the one that really counts...pucks in the net...

Cheers,

Gabe

One thing - Shesterkin is learning how to really backstop and not just play.  That is a big part of it too.  Grant Fuhr only needed to be as good as Grant Fuhr (which still was great, I'm not shading him).  I think if Iggy can be as good as Iggy during the right post season, and the right parts of the regular one, this guy will win a Cup or two.  If not this year then somewhere else some other time.

New warbond in Helldivers II dropped this morning. In an objective sense, it's far from ideal; general consensus seems to be, it's the worst one yet.

I have it, but I don't have any of its content unlocked yet, so I haven't tried any of it myself to determine if it really is as bad as people are reporting, at least for my purposes. I do hope that these weapons get some adjustments to make them better by the time I get to unlocking them, though. Same for some of the stuff we've got already.

Arrowhead's CEO mentioned they were going to be re-evaluating their approach to balance on Twitter; it seems they, or at least he, noticed an undesired pattern as well. I'm not as hardline about these sorts of things as some other people, but I can see kind of where people are coming from.

In other news, the major order is nearly complete. If we can tough it out, we might be able to clear things up before time... I'm kinda tired of fighting Terminids. Never been a fan of fighting them, really. Give me more Automatons to fight, and I'll be happy. lol

List of team names up for vote for the fka Coyotes:

Can't say I'm really fond of any of them.  Mountaineers would be cool if WVA didn't already have that name.  Utah HC is fine, but I don't know how that translates to hearing it over broadcast.

2 things about using "Non-Standard/Pirate" points for civilians.

1.  Isn't one of the main factors for using N/Z points to avoid things like meteors/comets/asteroids?
I feel like that was mentioned in the past somewhere.
The N/Z points are outside the gravitational plane & as such are mostly "clear" of obstacles that like to smash into thin skinned jumpships & mess up sails & such.
Time/Fuel saved isn't going to mean anything if you take damage & have to do repairs.
Is it likely?  No.  But for the same reason they also tell you NOT to jump into uninhabited systems.
Sure, you can, but its not the SAFE way of doing things which is what Civilians are concerned about so they don't lose critical assets.

2.  While it might be more time/fuel efficient for the shipping company to arrive closer, it isn't very efficient for the Government/Military.
Maybe they don't want to have to have another set of interdiction checkpoints outside of N/Z.
Maybe its easier to know that since "Pirates/Raiders" are what those points are named for & used by that their natural response is just easier to say, "If you Show Up there, we don't ask questions first, we shoot & keep shooting till it stops approaching.
For that matter, if you let civilians start using those points then it starts to get real hard to ID Pirates when they show up since they can blend in so much easier w/ all that traffic that is already using that point.
Maybe News copters might "want" to go in a straight line across town, but the airport is still a no fly zone for them, etc etc.
I'd like to walk to the front of the line at the DMV but they like to funnel us into one of those rope queues back & forth in an orderly manner.
Just saying.  Sometimes rules/regs/procedures are there for order v/s speed.

That I don't know. I hadn't even heard that it was delayed. I just have a keen awareness of how far off June is, no matter what the time of year.

I understand that you don't know and don't have any means of knowing any more than the rest of us, I was trying to point out that we don't know when in June it will come.

Faction sneak peak for Supplement II, focusing on the Anti-Spinward Union. I am hoping to have the whole thing done in the next week.
