Is the short version that your cousin had sex with the meat guy? That seems wrong, I was certain that was a right reserved unto pizza deliverymen and plumbers.

Speaking of plumbers, you should really be grateful there's currently a lady keeping me from running the Chicago Ferris Wheel play on your sister again.

Wierdo, is the Crimson Skies game you are playing the old 1998 game or the clicky tech game? I loved that game, but it disappeared quicker than Renegade Legion or Centurion.

The 1998 FASA one. Fortunately if all goes well, I've noticed that Clicky CS appears to be more or less in the same scale as metal CS, so if I choose to build up some air forces, minis can be got for dirt cheap. Finding books is another matter though...

Our TV is at last broadcasting "The Pacific" on a non paying channel. I must say, I'm disappointed. I even nearly dropped out during the Melbourne episode, but hanged on. Right now, we've just had the battle of Peleliu, and I'm still somewhat disappointed. I just can't get attached to the various characters, despite the lengthy attempts to give them some psychological depth. It can be that the series is too explicit on that matter : Band of Brothers managed to carve well detaiiled characters without resorting to that...
I'm also not that happy with the combat scenes : they're certainly extremely violent (some details are especially gruesome), but -that's the wargamer speaking I guess -, they do not seem to make any tactical sense like in Band of Brothers. Except for the mad dash across Peleliu's airstrip, that's always the same machine-gunning at close quarters. I've rewatched with a lot of pleasure "Band of Brothers", I'm not sure that, after watching the last 3 episodes next sunday, I'll give "The Pacific" another look.
Hanse Davion is my shepherd.

Last night's game recap: Refusal War, Wolves v Falcons!  Much closer game than the final score indicated.  Thirteen valiant Wolves walked and ran into the guns of fifteen Falcons.  Most mechs were medium or light.  The game was called early, its hard to tell how it would have finished.  Not sure if Paladin didn't move two of his mechs the final turn in a bid to kill or be killed before bedtime or not.  I think the Wolves would have won in the end, the breaks seemed to be going our way at the time(ie, an LB-2 causing a Nova A's AMS ammo to brew up), but the Falcons still had several pristine Mechs, although they were Hellbringers.  Zell was never in place, as immediately 2 stars of Falcons targeted an Adder, a mech I have new respect for.

Anyone for a game tonight?

So, after getting back into MegaMek (damn you all, I had almost run out of things to do with my laptop and was going to start spending time keeping my wife company!) after the other day, I was wondering where people get scenarios to play or do you just load up a random game against either yourself or the Bot?
