It's real, it's on the schedule, but it's still deep in development, so there's not much information. In fact, we're still debating whether it would be Historical: First Succession War or Historical: Early Succession Wars—so please be patient until we have something to say on it ;)

Good news, can't wait.

I've a funny feeling the first succession war will make the Jihad look like spirited disagreement between friends.

If the First snd Second Succession Wars were to be split off into itheir own books, I hope that might allow for more room to cover some of the other events of note taking place across the Inner Sphere and near Periphery at the time, such as Operation SILVER SHIELD and the Minnesota Tribe encounters. (I'd also like to see a sidebar or so on the  Lyran side of the mini-exodus that led to the foundation of the Hanseatic League.)

Or would the likes of SILVER SHIELD work better in a dedicated operational turning point file instead?

SILVER SHIELD was a fairly low key military conflict, I'm not sure if even the ex-SLDF on ComStar-SLDF fighting in South America would be enough for an operation turning point, it seem more likely it'd be a scenario at the back of a Historical.

Silver Shield would have to be a Historical Turning Point rather than an Operational Turning Point, as the latter type of TPs take place across multiple worlds.

Good to hear that the Succession Wars are going to get a Historical!

My personal opinion, I would vote for one historical per Succession War.  I want to read every nitty gritty detail as worlds go boom.  But, whatever happens, I am ready to throw my wallet at the screen.

Thank you!

Operation Holy Shroud might make for a good AToW campaign?

I'm guessing Interstellar Operations, but that's ONLY because my distributor shows that as a release in August...just no specific date given.

cold1: Look, I don't think it should be a sin, just for saying "ilClan".

[Everyone gasps]

Site admin: You're only making it worse for yourself!

cold1: Making it worse? How can it be worse? IlClan! ilClan! ilClan!

Site admin: I'm warning you! If you say "ilClan" one more time (gets hit with rock) RIGHT! Who did that? Come on, who did it?

Forumites: He did! He did! (suddenly obscuring their IPs) He! He did! He!

Site admin: Was it you?

Random Forumite: Yes.

Site admin: Right...

Random Forumite: Well you did say "ilClan. "

[Other forumites throws rocks at the luckless forumite]

Site admin: STOP IT! STOP IT! STOP IT RIGHT NOW! STOP IT! All right, no one is to stone _anyone_ until I blow this whistle. Even... and I want to make this absolutely clear... even if they do say, "ilClan. "
