I had seen the full list of goodies expected a few days ago...and to say there are a few surprises is an understatement. A whale of an understatement!

Hey, the new Centurion - and not just the Omni - was surprise enough for me.

I was just on the IWM website and I can't find the Roadrunner there for purchase. Has it really been released? Is it only in brick-and-mortar FLGS at the moment? Thanks!

That's the way it works for standard releases. They are released to stores and online retailers first. Then a month or two later, they appear on the IWM webstore.
Why not Zoidberg?

Kiff...as others have said, they are available outside IWM first, then about a month or so later, IWM will list it on their site. This gives retailers like myself a chance to sell them ahead of when IWM does.

Gotcha.

Does anybody know the size of this mini? I'm under the impression that IWM is trying to keep 'mechs much more 'in scale' with one another now, and I'd like to know how physically big this model is going to be. I'm hoping it's not too small.

It is likely the smallest 'Mech ever made.  Take a look at it compared to other recent sculpts.  I don't have the roadrunner in metal yet myself.

Yep. Getting one of those. That's awesome. Might be fun to pair up with my Protomechs.

How many parts is the Hound?  I was looking for it . . . might need to drive across town to see the store if they have it.

Same question for thee roadrunner. I would guess at least 5 or 7 parts? torso, 2 arms, 2 legs and 2 upper leg shields...

Roadrunner is 5 pieces, torso, 2 legs, and 2 arms. The shield's conveniently fit on the legs permanently.

The hound is 11 pieces. 2 Feet, 2 legs, hips, torso, 2 arms, SRM, LPPCs, and the autocannon. The arm weapons are separate for both modeling and molding reasons.

You people need to show some pics as soon as you have them assembled!!

Hmm, lots of parts . . . but if they are built like other 3145 minis not such a big problem.

Not me!  :D  I "won" a blister of some on eBay a few years back, along with some minis that I actually WANTED, then eventually was able to trade the useless (to ME!) things off.   O0  I kept them away from the rest of my Collection, so at least the rest of my minis didn't get tainted.   ;D

How does the Roadrunner compare to the Unseen Baboon?  ???  That sucker is a tiny thing also!   :o

Fun fact, if a mech has split toes, it will usually have two part legs. It's a necessity of the molding process.

And this one should be pretty easy to assemble. The joints are all cylinders, so they will stay together a bit better.

Including drying time, I put my Orca together in about 30 minutes. I can't imagine smaller miniatures, made under the same standards, would take longer.

By the way, here's the Roadrunner in its blister...

Its not the time . . . its getting the pieces to solidly hold since I do not pin.

The Project Phoenix mechs and some of the others at that time were horrible- I like my Solitaire but its run pose has the legs stretched out beyond one hex.  So when the part count gets really high I get flashbacks.

With that said, I have picked up the Juliano, Havoc and Quasimodo . . . all were good and easy to put together, and all had more than the 4 or 5 parts I was buying from minis with molds made back in '03.

This may sound like a dumb question (and it probably is  ;D ), but why is that?

Anyway, as for the Shad, I had a meeting with the Military Appropriations Committee (i.e. my wallet) and with any luck, on Saturday two shiny new SHD-2Hs will be waiting for me at The War House  :)
