SLDF Regimental ASF Support
« on: 09 January 2018, 18:40:04 »
If you had to outfit a Royal Independent Regiment (circa 2750, composed of 3 battalions, 1x infantry, 1x mech and 1x armor), with 3 squadrons of ASFs (18 fighters), what ASF designs would you use? Would you go with 1 squadron light fighters, 1 of medium fighters and one of heavy fighters? Or 18 fighters of all the same design?

Pretty sure you would have 3 Mech, 1 Armor, 1 Infantry Battalion in that independent regiment.

Being Independent I could see it being 6 of each weight, but each 6 being the same model.

Tridents, Hellcat-II's, & Hammerheads, its ground support so solid interceptor/dogfighters is the way to go IMHO.

You could also swap in Tomahawks for either of the smaller 2 birds.
