Weedon Light Tank

[Nahuris]

Named for Brigadier George Weedon, who, at the battle of Yorktown in the 1776 US War or Independence, with his unit, repelled the feared and infamous unit led by Colonel Banastre Tarleton.

In the same way, while not a flashy unit, that stands out, this tank is very good at holding positions, and supporting, even in the face of enemy assault units. The tank was designed, again, with a standard engine to supply the PPC, although it does carry an MML7 as a back up weapon. The tank is designed to provide direct, and indirect support fire to other units, but not necessarily designed to be a stand alone unit, although it is fairly tough, for it's size.

Primarily, the Ferro was a compromise... 40 tons tends to turn this into a brick, while adding Case took away just enough armor to leave it a bit vulnerable...... as did using standard armor, which was the original plan......  Case could be added, as a MKII upgrade.....

The goal was something that would be a bit tougher than a Scorpion Light Tank, but not be totally tricked out. The manufacturer is buying the armor and weapons, as they don't make them themselves....... it's a petty small planetary affair. The engineering is done "in house".
