[Liam's Ghost]

  A light battlemech built by the Society for a project I'm tinkering with. The project centers around a hidden society outpost that managed to remain hidden during the wars of reaving and enjoyed a few decades of security before finally being discovered. What follows is a fight between Society forces, the Homeworld Clans, and... something else.

  The name reflects its intended role as a fast response and scout mech meant to be the first to engage a potential infection attacker. The fairly large number of variants reflects how its builders really wish they could build omnimechs, but don't yet have the facilities.

So, they made 'Mechs, but not vehicles?  Big blind spot there.

Nah, they're also making a vehicle. Overall this group is building four different mech designs (in a total of fifteen variants), a light tank design, eight protomech designs (twenty nine variants), and five different types of battlearmor.

They also have a large stockpile of appropriated equipment ranging from some of the oldest material to accompany the exodus to stuff dating back to the golden century, all of which they have also been tinkering with and at least partially refitting with advanced tech.

If that sounds excessive, it is. Their refusal to stop tinkering and just focus on some core equipment is almost as much a detriment to their ability to arm themselves as their complete lack of experienced military personnel.
