Looks like it's back, and for 60 bucks.
Looks cleaner and is cheaper than the old one I bought on the secondary market... *grumble* #P

Just saw it, but isn't it a little big, it's around 1/220 according to my calculations. The price ain't bad, the model look... A bit chunky, I like AM's design for mapscale better.

Do you happen to know if the extra parts will be available (the wings, etc.)? The one I got years ago from IWM was literally the last one on the shelf, Melissa gave me a discount because it was missing all of those parts except the tail fins and turret (with no guns)- it's been heavily modified to regain it's teeth, but if I can get the wing parts seperate I can add them on at last.
(Weird question, I know)

It says its foam and resin, Im guessing the fuselage is foam, so for those of you who have it what is the density of the stuff, can I scratch it with a fingernail or is it hard like plastic?

I saw one of these in person for the first time today. Really sweet looking, and way lighter than it looks. It is a very cool piece.

While it's not my favorite model, I'm very glad to see them being made available again. Tell me, are they made from the same foam material, or something more durable? When cleaning up mine, I had a whole ton of tiny bubbles of foam all over the model and down deep into the panel lines that were a real bear to clean off. If it's made of better material, I might buy a third and work on it. As it stands, one is partly painted and the other is still in the shrink wrap.

Speck, if you ask for Updates, can you ask for a preorder option? Maybe they are just producing the ships and with a preorder they may know how many the can surely sell

Is there anywhere a picture of this new release ? I know it is based on the old one. But i'm just interested in the material and the quality of this new model.

Not at this time, there is not set number that will be available. the Company who does them is alot slower then thought. I will check for a new ETA if there is one.

I see that there is a Leopard Class Dropship MS-002 is that the mech scale or is it another #? The picture looks much like the one for the mech scale?

Pretty sure that's the Map Scale version. I believe that's what the "MS" designation in the model number stands for.

I have not heard any recent new on them. I will find out next week when I am at IWM.
