What a great company, and I love the fact that you have a Chameleon in there.
It doesn't take long for men to make a decision. It's making a decision look smart that takes the time.

Hey you who likes the Chameleons, there's another up there in Ranger Company now. O0

Starting as of right now, I'm going to be actually posting the workings of the unit HERE, and not in the Against the Bot campaign thread.  Expect to see the AAR for my next two battles sometime this week.  Maybe this will keep me from forgetting the thread exists. :P

Your commander is getting close to being a double ace.
Warlord's kill ratio is amazing for a 4/4 pilot. What are you feeding him before the battle's. }:)

He's actually better than you know.  I got him as a 5/6, and he shot down ALL FOUR ENEMIES on his first sortie.  It was amazing.

EDIT:  Because I don't want to double post just for a battle report:

Friendly Forces:
Lt. Jesse "Metal" Tappen - 2/4 - RFL-3N - Very Light Damage - 1 Kill, 0 Hits.
MW Miyake "Sogekihei" Shizuka - 3/4 - FS9-K - Very Light Damage - 0 Kills, 0 Hits.
MW Hugh "Bolo" Dekker - 4/5 - WSP-1A - Very Light Damage - 0 Kills, 0 Hits.
MW David "Cadia" Zeller - 4/5 - HBK-4P - Medium Damage - 1 Kill, 0 Hits.
MW Kirsten "Pick" Kjosen - 2/2 - WHM-6R - Medium Damage - 2 Kills, 0 Hits.
Lt. David "Psycho" Lawrence - 4/4 - LNC25-01 - Medium Damage - 0 Kills, 0 Hits.
MW Turner "Bullseye" Franklin - 5/5 - CLN-7V - Very Light Damage - 0 Kills, 0 Hits.
MW Matthew "Bear" Nolte - 3/3 - PXH-1 - Medium Damage - 0 Kills, 0 Hits.
MW Jakson "Finale" Harris - 4/4 - PXH-1 - No Damage - 1 Kill, 0 Hits.

Enemy Forces:
3/4 MAD-3R - Pilot killed, 'Mech salvaged with Medium damage.
3/6 ARC-2R - Pilot killed, 'Mech salvaged with Heavy damage.
3/5 STK-3F - Pilot escaped, 'Mech salvaged with Heavy damage. (ammo goes boom, doesn't cook the CT 8))
4/6 GHR-5H - 'Mech escaped with Light damage.

4/4 STG-3R - Pilot captured, wants to defect.  'Mech destroyed.
4/6 LCT-1V - 'Mech escaped with Medium damage.
3/5 GRF-1N - 'Mech escaped with no damage.
3/6 CRD-3R - Pilot captured, does not want to defect.  'Mech salvaged with Medium damage.

4/4 STG-3R - 'Mech escaped with Light damage.
4/6 UM-R60 - 'Mech escaped with Heavy damage.
3/6 RVN-1X - Pilot captured, does not want to defect.  'Mech salvaged with Heavy damage. (:D)
4/4 LCT-3V - 'Mech escaped with no damage.

End of turn arrangements:
Taking the MAD-3R, CRD-3R, and RVN-1X as salvage and fixing them up, pawning all the rest (ka-ching).  Repair crews working on all damages.

That marks a successful contract completion, adding contract payment to the treasury.  Setting schedule for refit during R&R time.

Next contract I'll be trying out my proposed modifications to the battle generation system.  We'll see how that works. :D

REFIT SCHEDULE:
PXH-1 to PXH-1D - 3 turns, 4 turns, 8 turns, and 8 turns for each respective conversion
VL-2T to VL-5T - 4 turns.

NEXT TURN (3026.5.5):

Recruitment Results: 7 - No recruit.

Events:  No contract, no event

A few of my 'Mechs return to active status, and now I've got some shuffling to do.  Roster update in progress.

EDIT:  Woot, a full battalion with five or six 'mechs left over!

And $40 million in the bank means I can just sit back and wait for those conversions to finish before I get going anywhere.  Good turn. 8)

MW Michael "Legion" Place - 4 + 1 (Regular), will not retire.
MW Arthur "Weirdo" McConnell - 10 + 1 (Regular), will not retire.

And that just made me realize that I have no greenies at all in my battalion anymore.  They've all grown up. *sniff*

Support Personnel:
I have four Green techs.  Roll of 6+ required to advance to Regular.  Rolls are as follows: 10, 3, 3, and 8.  Two of them advance to Regular skill.  No retirements.
I have eighteen Regular techs (not inclusive of new promotions).  Roll of 10+ required to advance to Veteran.  Rolls are as follows: 7, 8, 9, 8, 6, 6, 5, 8, 8, 7, 4, 5, 7, 3, 4, 5, 8, 6.  No advancements (wat).  No retirements.
I have nine Veteran techs.  Roll of 12 required to advance to Elite.  Rolls are as follows: 7, 8, 4, 12(!), 7, 7, 8, 7, 6.  One advances to Elite.  No retirements.
I have one Elite tech (not inclusive of new promotions).  Roll of 3+ required to keep employement.  Roll is as follows: 7.  No retirement.

I have one Regular medic.  Roll of 10 + required to advance to Veteran.  Roll is as follows: 9.  No advancement, no retirement.
I have one Veteran medic.  Roll of 12 required to advance to Elite.  Roll is as follows: 11.  No advancement, no retirement.
I have one Elite medic.  Roll of 3+ required to keep employment.  Roll is as follows: 5.  No retirement.

I have three Regular administrators.  Roll of 10+ required to advance to Veteran.  Rolls are as follows:  3, 8, 5.  No advancement, no retirement.
I have three Veteran administrators.  Roll of 12 required to advance to Elite.  Rolls are as follows:  5, 9, 4.  No advancement, no retirement.
I have one Elite administrator.  Roll or 3+ required to keep employment.  Roll is as follows: 8.  No retirement.

Summary of the whole thing:  Two Green techs went to Regular, one Veteran tech went to Elite.  That's it.  EVERYTHING

It's the first of the month, and you know what that means:  MARKET DAY!  Let's see how the three I'm selling (The Vindy and both Wasps, all fully repaired) do, and what's offered to me.

Market Generation (to buy):
WSP-1A at 120% price that arrives in 5 turns.  HA!  No.

Market Results (from selling):  Felt like Black Market today, so I figured I'd sell the Vindy and both Wasps.

Vindy sells at 105% price, I get gypped on a Wasp for 45%, and I manage to sell the other for 115%.  Decent enough, and it's still cash.  Adding to the treasury.

Deducting turn overhead, and I'm good for this turn.

Aaaaand, last battle of the turn.  Victory, though it was pretty close.  Seven convoy vehicles destroyed.  Both of my Archers were on the ground flailing around with destroyed gyros.  One made it through with 6 CT IS left and no other location, and one made it through with a whole 10 CT armor left.  In the rear.  Both are still alive though!

Friendly Forces:
Cpt. Michael "Caboose" O'Malley - 3/3 - ARC-2R - Very Heavy Damage - 1 kill, 1 hit.
Lt. Don "Sarge" Stevens - 3/4 - VTR-9A1 - Medium Damage - 0 kills, 2 hits.
MW Lauren "Zebra" Hamilton - 3/2 - ARC-2R - Very Heavy Damage - 0 kills, 1 hit.
MW Dorian "Hoops" Robertson - 4/4 - VND-1R - Heavy Damage - 0 kills, 3 hits.
Lt. Yutaka "Daimyo" Aomori - 3/4 - PXH-1D - Very Light Damage - 0 kills, 0 hits.
MW James "Whiplash" Greene - 4/5 - SCP-1N - No Damage - 0 kills, 0 hits.
MW Jill "Dancer" Brenner - 4/4 - STG-3G - Light Damage - 0 kills, 0 hits.
MW Spencer "Tick" Klocke - 3/5 - RVN-1X - No Damage - 0 kills, 0 hits.

Enemy Forces:
STG-3G Stinger
WSP-1A Wasp
VND-1R Vindicator
ARC-2R Archer

STG-3R Stinger
PXH-1 Phoenix Hawk
WVE-6N Wyvern
ARC-2R Archer

VND-1R Vindicator
PXH-1 Phoenix Hawk
WVE-6N Wyvern
CRD-3R Crusader - Pilot captured, does not wish to defect.  'Mech salvaged with Medium damage.

BMB-10D Bombardier
TDR-5S Thunderbolt
AWS-8Q Awesome
AWS-8Q Awesome

EVERYONE ELSE got away.

Net profit for all three battles: just upwards of $14 million.  How I managed that with a loss, a near-loss, and a battalion sized engagement, I'll never know.

Yep.  I have five Archers and four Crusaders now.  I was actually rather astounded that I didn't lose EITHER of them in the battle.  There were two Awesomes with 3/x pilots pouring fire into them, and EVERY SINGLE SHOT missed on the last turn.

Finally you got a Star League cache. :D
Although i think the Black Knight was better value.

I got a Star League cache on my first ever turn of combat, too. :P  That Lancelot is a nice piece of work.

But honestly, I'm starting to hate convoy raids.  The way the battles work is that I'm up against 2x (approximately) my weight in metal, and the enemy forces usually have better G/P than I do, so this contract is being kinda hellish in that respect.

I wouldn't mind if the OpFor didn't end up with something like a 2.5 average gunnery and a 3.5 average piloting.  Barely a lance worth of my pilots are that good, and they're fairly spread out.

Kansas City players, or people who are just passing through the area, come join us at the Geekery just off Shawnee Mission Parkway for BattleTech!  Current days are Tuesdays in the afternoon and evening.  I can't make every single week, but odds are pretty good that somebody will be there.
