Title: Where to find Clan specific mechs?
Post by: noexit1982 on 11 August 2017, 19:55:50
I finally am getting around to painting my models, and I realized that I have a glut of Inner Sphere Mechs.

Are any of the plastic alpha strike model boxes primarily Clan based?

Any official sources of mechs, other than Ice Wind metal?  I recall city tech being all Clan [most of mine come from that box]

No plastic Clan 'Mechs exist at the moment. No indications such will happen either. (No comment on what was closer to 30 years ago.)

You want Clan 'Mechs, Iron Wind Metals metallic miniatures are the only option. Or, well, for non-US places Ral Partha Europe has metallic minis, and Fantasywelt is a (online) retailer for IWM minis in Europe. RPE has limited selection though.

you might want to consider looking on the MUL for the "C" refits.. these are inner sphere mechs refitted to clan spec weaponry, generally for use in garrison forces. they are a fairly mixed lot (some of them are really good, some are downright terrible) but several of the plastics have "C" refits available.

also, many of the wolfs dragoons designs (shogun, annihilator, Hoplite, etc) have clantech versions as well. either because they were originally designs the clans developed, then downgraded for the dragoons, or were dragoons inventions they later upgraded to clantech.

Look here:

They're not plastic, but they're cheaper than buying metal ones individually, and if you look through the various categories, there's plenty of Clan options.
