Question : Formation requirements for augmented lance?

The Assault Lance formation requirements state that all units need to have at least 5 armor frex.

Would the vees in a standard augmented lance also need to comply with these formation requirements
or just the Mechs?

There are no formation rules for Augmented Lances. 
You can't just put units in an Assault Lance that doesn't fit the requirements of the Assault Lance.
You can make an Assault Lance and "augment" it with two vehicles that don't follow the Assault Lance requirements, but those two vehicles are, rules-wise, not part of the Assault Lance and don't get the benefits of the Assault Lance or count as being part of the Assault Lance (for the "half the units in the Assault Lance" counting for example).

A little follow up question (or clarification maybe):
1. So would it be allowed rules-wise to build an augmented lance where the two vehicles do conform to the lance requirements (eg. 4 Sniper role mechs + 2 Sniper role vehicles in a Fire Lance) ?
2. Would it be allowed to build a mixed lance (so just 4 units) of mechs and vehicles (like previously in a fire lance - 2 sniper role mechs + 2 sniper role vehicles) ?

What interests me mostly is how it would work in an official tournament - would the units be activated as one formation? would all the units be equally allowed to get the formation benefits (within the formation rules)? would it depend on the faction I'm playing?
